Room was lovely and spacious as was bathroom and we had some nice swan towels when we arrived.
Bit far from town, we had to get taxis which were quite reasonable into town. When we came back one night we walked to our cabin and a man wiht a flash light followed us down, (we are two girls). We got to the room and he started speaking to us, we did not understand him as he was speaking Spanish and we dont but we were slightly frightened as the area is quite dark and there were not many people there.
It isn't in the main town in Fortuna which is nice. It's very quiet. It's around a $15 cab ride into the main town which you can see all of in a short afternoon. It was a great place to come back to after a day of hiking around arenal volcano or ziplining around the canopy.
Doesn't have its own hot springs or pool.
Helpful and nice staff. Wonderful views
A bit far from town and restaurants
Great location; great view of volcano; nicely kept gardens; nice staff; breakfast was just fin; overall good value for money!
Great views Outside of La Fortuna town

It was just perfect! We stayed 3 weeks ago for 3 nights only, it definitely passed too fast. We had direct volcano-view and rocking chairs on our veranda, nice detail for honeymooners. Every morning we managed to see different animals - a lot of birds, some monkeys etc, everything just next to our apartment. It is allowed to park close to the rooms - convenient during rains:) the best reception staff ever! During first day it was raining a lot, it destroyed our plans to go to Cerro Chato, girls suggested going to The Springs Hotel and buying a package offer - 2 days SPA, one lunch and two activities for 99$ per person. It was the best thing to do and one of the best experiences we had in Costa Rica, especially horse-riding in the forest. We also managed to loose room key, we were sure that the fine would be at least 100$ as it was attached to the safety deposit key. To our surprise, we were charged only 5$! In the price we had safety deposit, WiFi access and breakfasts included - everything that was needed at no extra cost!
Friendliness Location Breakfast
Leaf blowing Front driveway needs smoothing
I liked having my own private cosy cabin with a view of the volcano, even tho the clouds covered most of it. The breakfast in the morning was nice plate of fruits and you had the option to order pancakes and sausage or Costa Rican dish of rice and beans with eggs. The staff was very kind and friendly.
The entrance to the area had some chunky rocks so you had to be careful driving in. The staff did not inform me about an agreement with Baldi Hot Springs, so I headed to Baldi without a voucher. I ended up not going to a hot springs which was a little disappointing, but I still had fun doing Arenal Hanging Bridges and Sky Trek Adventure.
Bungalow had a good view of the volcano with lovely gardens and was comfortable. It was in a very quiet area but with a restaurant across the road. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was nice and filling.
The wifi wasn't very good. Reading lights not on both sides of the bed.
The staff was wonderful - accommodating several specific little requests. Breakfast was hot and tasty, with several options to choose from. Everything was very clean and tidy. Arenal volcano literally filled the view from the front window. Flowers (and hummingbirds!) everywhere.
The location is a bit far from the town of Fortuna - not easy walking distance.
Service & location were excellent with touching distant veiw of Arenal Volcano and surrounded by nature.
Accomodation a little outdated
Great hotel and a nice view towards the Vulcane Arenal. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay at Campo Verde.
I have been to Volcán Arenal many times in my life. This was the best view I've ever had. The grounds were beautifully kept and my little boy spent the entire trip playing outside under the massive volcano. It was gorgeous and peaceful and the staff was so gracious.
We were asked to move from our room to another because the AC wasn't working and our cable TV wasn't either (not that we really needed the TV).
The view, the space of the bungalow, the helpfulness of the staff, the flowers on the property
You'll need a car to explore the area.
Staff was pleasant and very helpful- found a $45 after 6:00p.m., pass to Tabacon without dinner for $45. Excellent value, great view of Areal volcano. Good a/c.
Not all rooms have safes.
Each room is wooden natural house which placed far from each other no disturbance. Great view on volcano. Clean and comfortable, spacious inside. Car can be parked right in front of your house. Feel relaxed on nature.
Everything was fantastic. Close to town, great hikes, restaurants and hot springs. Staff was very friendly. Great room with awesome view of volcano. A great place to stay for a romantic getaway. Will defiantly stay there again.
We loved everything!!
After a terrible flash of lightning and the resulting power failure, the staff did everything to restore power and informed us very well. Airco was good, view on the Arenal is -when not covered in clouds- amazing
Some staff members did not speak English very well. That made booking a trip a timeconsuming task
Super friendly and helpful staff. As a lightening strok, they had a mechanic there in less than 30 minutes. Also, I had booked three nights originally and could cancel one night with no additional charge (we wanted to also see monteverde). Super customer service!!! It's advisable, but You don't need a car for this location. There is a bus that drives to the Baldi hot springs and into town for 2 dollars every 2 hours. With a cab its about 15 dollars. I would book again.
One night there was loud music coming from a disco near by. I didn't even know from where, because you are out in the nature. The other night it was pure silence.
Wonderful and comfortable little houses with coffee maker, fridge and tv. Nice hiking trail (2kms) on the premises. Restaurant accross the road.
Nothing really. The coffee served during breakfast could be a bit stronger.
Excellent location and view of volcano Very helpful staff Lovely room (with jacuzzi in bath)
Breakfast choice (although they allowed to mix and match) Coffee was a little weak, but unlimited
- nice and helpful staff - quiet place and a big bungalow - Perfect view to volcano from big window or terrace from rocking chairs - everything clean - fast wifi even inside of the bungalow - silent ac - safe, fridge and coffee machine
- volcano inactive since 2011 - expansive laundry
The room was spotless, and the maid service ensured it remained clean. We only stayed for two nights before moving on to the second part of our honeymoon but the room was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the wifi worked well
It rained for majority of the time we were there so alot of bugs were trying to get into the room and some succeeded. Wasnt a hugge deal but worth mentioning.
We had a bungalow with the great view of the volcano. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the scenic view. The young lady at the reception gave us great tips for our stay !!
Very helpful staff, cute bungalows, extremely clean. The steakhouse across the street from the hotel offered excellent food.
