La vue sublime! Le lever de soleil sur la mer, et sur la piscine, contemplé tous les matins vers 5h30, depuis les hauteurs de Montezuma... Quel plaisir! Nous étions dans une des casitas anciennes, très bien pour nous 3, avec la petite cuisine qui nous offrait les joies de l'indépendance culinaire (le petit déjeuner n'est pas inclus, et ne vaut pas vraiment la peine...). Le hamac sur la terrasse à l'ombre, parfait pour se laisser aller à la sieste après la lecture, et observer des oiseaux familiers et sympathiques. Perfecto para descansar!

Le bungallow était très confortable et surtout une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec notre fils de 5 ans. Nous y retournerons peut-être un jour.

La piscine avec vue plongeante sur l'ocean mais plus globalement le cadre...un peu le bout du monde ! Le personnel de l'hotel très sympathique. La tranquilité. Le confort.

Rien RAS. Pour info : sans 4x4 difficile d'arriver a Montezuma.

J'ai adoré le point de vue sur la mer.. Surtout du bout de la piscine.

Un seul "hic". Rue Linda vista tellement cahoteuse que certains chauffeurs de taxi en profitent pour charger plus cher. Au village, demandez Yita pour un taxi, très gentille et honnête.

Some good views. Lots of humming birds, butterflies and lizards right next to the cabin. Fire flies at night. Peaceful at night with cicadas and the sound of the ocean. With transport this would make a good base to explore the southern part of the Nicoya Peninsula.

This place is a long, long walk up a very steep hill from the beach and village at Montezuma, and then over a kilometre up and down a gravel side track. Without transport it is not the kind of place you can just pop down to the beach from. Every day from 7am to 7pm there was drilling, sawing a hammering from the construction next door. I appreciate that this will not be the case for ever, but it did ruin the peaceful atmosphere.

You had to go by car to the citycentre because the road down there is very bold.

I liked the food at the bar, and it wasn't too expensive. Lots of helpful, good advice from staff.

I like the way the cabana, and the swimming pool were facing the ocean. And of course, the open air shower.

It is not close to the village and the beach, though it is at walking distance, you have to walk on the road which has no sidewalk and is very, very steep. This gets very tiring due to the heat, specially if you are carrying groceries from the supermarket or a surfboard all the way up to the hotel. I find it a bit overpriced.

Far from town. Had to use a taxi but very quiet at night and very relaxing. The hot tub was not hot.

Nice and peaceful location with great views, super friendly and helpful staff and lovely pool. Travelling with a 3-year old kid we enjoyed the big terrace and useful kitchen in our apartment. You need to take a taxi to town, but staff was always helpful calling one.

The ride to the center of town in not possible. One must cab or drive. It is a 2-3 minute drive or a $5 dollar cab ride. No biggie.

The location is a little far from town. You either need to take a taxi or walk up a rather steep hill to get to the hotel.

My only negative is the bed needed to be better. Also, there were no blankets provided. No big deal, its just that we are use to sleeping with a blanket.

I stayed with my daughter and we were there at time time of the 7.6 quake. The hotel had no backup generator and does not use solar power. The area was pitch black. There was no emergency kit. We couldnt keep windows open due to many mosquitoes so was quite sweltering. It's a beautiful location on top of the hill which was great since there was a tsunami warning but previous comments about the road to downtown were not truly descriptive of the steepeness of the road . We took a taxi up and down the hill each way. The price of $3000 colones ($6) was reasonable. The hotel didnt post numbers to local taxi or food deliveries. We found and obtained them on our own. We learned we could use the hotel phone for local calls when the receptionist was not at the desk. The Zuma Tours office offers a free tour book that has a phone directory in the back. We figured that out after 4 days there. I must say that the fact we had a wonderful pool and jacuzzi to ourselves was the best part since it was low season there we only a couple of other visitors for one night. We spent many afternoons there. The people of Montezuma are very hospitable and friendly. Coco, the housekeeper, kept our rooms clean and even cleaned out bugs in the outdoor shower.

The lack of emergency lighting and emergency food supplies. The last day there i told the receptionist our refrigerator had stopped working. Her comment was "Oh that sucks" but didnt offer a replacement. The fact that local numbers were not posted to the door when she was not at the desk and didnt answer her cell number. We were not offered use of phone when there was no electricity. I kind of got the feeling that visiting during low season means you are more of a burden than an appreciated guest.

You will be staying in your own casita with a wonderful view. The lap pool is marvlous. There are multiple flowering shrubs attracting humming birds. The showers are fresh air with rain shower heads.

Nice little cottages and excellent environment, everything recently built. Great jacuzzi and swimming pool, room very clean.

The only negative is a very tough access road, you need a 4x4.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt, fantastisch uitzicht op de oceaan, mooi en kindvriendelijk zwembad en dichtbij Montezuma. Heel aangenaam verblijf gehad!
