the closeness to the airport (ideal for a night staying when flying at night), the breakfast is easy and good, staff was nice
the bed was as hard as never felt before, I slept better on the floor in my younger years. The shower was a bit far and not the best. keep your expectations low please.
Low cost for a double with ensuite bathroom Staff was helpful, called a taxi for 3:30 a.m. the morning we flew out. The room and bathroom were very clean.
We asked for a room with two beds - the room had a bunk bed with a queen on the bottom and a single bunk on top that neither of us could get into. The breakfast was a bit skimpy.
you can here people in the hotel as is they are in your room Bad breakfast Rooms full of ants
excellent, helpful staff person
No tap for the showerPrice location Clean comfortable bed
no tap on the shower. Inadequate breakfast

Posizione, stanza spaziosa, ambiente tranquillo
Troppi rumori dalla strada, finestra rotta
Cheap stay with breakfast near airport.
My friend and I asked for a private room upon arrival cause they come with a free shuttle transfer to the airport. We were told they were all full, when we saw about five unoccupied. The next morning many were still free and unused. It seemed that they just wanted to jam us in a dorm room and cut out the free shuttle option which doesn't come with a dorm. As a consolation we were offered a two person bunk room for $10 each. We had cash to pay upon arrival but they had no change for $20 bills respectively. So, when I went to pay my $10 share in the morning to a different manager he changed the price to $13 and lost his cool yelling at me within 30 seconds of me trying to explain the room price the other manager offered us. In the end he conceded to the original price only after I felt like he wanted to start a physical altercation. I stood my ground insisting that honouring the agreement was the correct guest services position to take. In short I'm going to stay at Alujuela Backpackers next time :)
The location was good, close to markets, parks, churches, cheap and expensive restaurants. A 20 min bus ride from airport.
My mattress was covered with plastic which made it a bit noisy when I turned over during the night it was also very hot as the plastic trapped heat. I suggest they remove the plastic for future guests. I did not like having to go up to the second floor to use the shared bathrooms, they should have at least a toilet on the first floor. The free breakfast consisted of bread or sugar coated cereal and bananas. The bread could not be toasted as the toaster did not work. Pancakes would have been more filling.
Terrible customer service. Sent me out at 10pm to find ATM because wouldn't take credit card, and didn't have change for $20. No bathroom on the floor where I had my room. No lights up stairs to the only bathroom. No blanket - I was cold. I felt unsafe here, and left at 2am to the airport. Horrrible.
Without window, towel and hot water!!! Not a good place!
It is near the airport.
I fled the place after seeing a bedbug crawling on my bed. The staff called a cab for me and I went elsewhere. I didn't stay the night or try to get a refund. $12 lesson.
This place was horrible with big cleanliness issues. We got bed bugs and a stomach virus! Never again!
Close to the airport. Warm welcome, nice guy !!
Proximity and convenience for the airport was excellent and the staff were polite. The room was clean and breakfast was good.
The area itself was not very nice. The whole hostel was very dark, there did not seem to be many lights and the lighting in the room was poor. My room just had an overall dingy feeling to it.
Esta en el centro mas o menos
The bed is with bugs,I got 200bites whole body and face. My last night at Costa Rica without sleeping due to the bugs from the sheet and bed, was terrified and a nightmare....now hospital at Spain.never ever again this place. It's a vampire bug hostel
Terrible place. Not live in No3 room. Via room go WC pipe, so each time when same use -u know:) To big noise. Breakfast is .... really no breakfast-just several pcs of fruits and coffee. Property not clean!
the staff was very friendly and helpful.Good place to stay when need a one night stay to go to the airport.
When we arrived, our reservation had not been held for us, however, the owner upgraded us to their other property without an extra charge. They were very friendly and helpful.

Location and price
Spending the first week of my holiday covered in BedBug bites.
good location, close to airport, clean enough.
the room was very close to the lobby and we could hear everything that was going by was EXTREMELY loud. every time someone walked by I would jump because it sounded like they were about to pound on the door.
Really nice accomodation, near to the centre and staff really helpful!
Shared bathroom not cleaned frequently
the manager louis was very helpful
noise level, very thin walls
They were a wonderful place to stay very close to the airport. Spectacular for a hostel type environment. Lovely backyard garden and kitchen for breakfast. I would absolutely stay there again.
It was a little harder to find than we anticipated but that's not their fault. I had anticipated that there would be street signs
