The hospitality began long before we walked in the door. Scott went above and beyond helping us arrange a rental car to meet us in Sierpe and graciously and humorously answer all of our questions.
The hotel itself is beautiful and beautifully located, though you will want a 4 wheel drive to get you up the mercifully short though rough road to get there. We stayed in the smaller, less expensive room and it was still the nicest room we stayed in on the trip, with a lovely view of the ocean through a garden. The pool is just as amazing as it looks in the photos, and offers a perfect place to catch the sunset and watch macaws, monkeys, and toucans. Scott, Yor, Jose, and the rest of the staff are more than friendly and attentive. They make it a point to call you by your name, bring you ice water while lounging at the pool, provide restaurant and activity recommendations, and generally make you feel very much at home. Breakfast varies daily and is very tasty. We also had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, Azul, which was also great.
The hotel is conveniently located to the village at Ojochal, and Uvita and Dominical, and other Pacific beaches, are a pleasant drive away on the coastal highway.
We were sad to leave!
