Stunning views in all directions, beautiful hotel.
Rustic and clean.
Overpriced. Breakfast was not particularly good. No wifi in rooms. Also, difficult to get from upper suites down to reception. Need electronic key access.
Location was central and all within walking distance. We were in the rain forest and the reception was very helpful in getting us tours and inter-site travel.
Coffee Pot did not work. No TV. Breakfast tended to run out of food with delays in refilling the tureenes.
Good location and very nice people.
Jacuzzi and hot tub were not operating. Saw a note about the new and old section but did not listen well enough. New section was nicer but very spread out.
This place is well located in Monteverde, close to some outdoor wildlife sites. It's restaurant made a great, large breakfast including plate of fresh fruit n eggs to order.
The promised spa/jacuzzi's are non- functioning, too bad. Our room was drafty with only bare essentials. It smelled like sewage. You could see thru the floorboards. I got bit up pretty bad by some insects?!
Hotel very nice, comfortable, pretty grounds, nice, clean rooms. Great location; just far enough away from town to be convenient but still quiet and peaceful. Staff very helpful and friendly. I recommend this hotel.
Christina, at reception, was amazing. She was extremely helpful in planning my group's excursions and giving us advice on restaurants in town.
My group traveled during the end of August, which is low season due to the rain. This meant that the hotel closed down their spa center. It would have been fine except we had a few cold showers during our stay. There was hot water but it would change to cold water after a minute or two. Also, we didn't get internet in our rooms and they did not have their computer stations on. These three issues were bad enough but when we complained to a guy who was working at reception we received the rudest comments and quite frankly no respect as paying customers. One time, he was closing up for the night and told us we needed to leave. When my friend and I explained we needed a few more minutes to use the internet we couldn't get in our rooms, he cooly told us to stand outside the office in the cold. I would definitely not recommend this place!!
