Score from 51 reviews Very good
Located in the beautiful country side near Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Casa Rural Aroma de Campo is a quaint B&B with on-site natural springs and a kitchen serving delicious Costa Rican cuisine....
Score from 26 reviews Excellent
Nice facility, near the airport.
Nothing to do around the hotel
The proximity to Liberia airport is perfect for landing after a long day of travel. Hope to get situated to the area and then you're good to go! Comfortable familiar surroundings for an ex-pat.
You're definitely landlocked here... It is a good drive into Liberia. This makes your dependent on the food and service is at the hotel unless you have a car already.
Location! Breakfast was great!
Pillows were too hard and big. Need pillows that are softer and conform to your head.
good location to rest for 1 night after a long flight, nothing fancy, but covers the basics well enough.
Close to airport... great food
Pool was cold. ..not close to any stores..small store in lobby has pushy salesperson and us expensive.
Very convenient to the airport. Good place for an overnight stay. Very comfortable with excellent rooms
Too many biting things in Liberia!
Location, and that it was a clean, comfortable hotel. You know what to except when you stay at a Hilton property, so when traveling to a foreign country and arrive in Costa Rica late in the evening, not having to deal with a foreign hotel at least that first night was comfortable.
Breakfast should be included in the price of the room.
Great location by LIR for early morning flights
Excellent property, close to airport.
The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The building and rooms were very clean, new and well taken care of. Very convenient to the airport, which was our primary reason for staying here. Shuttle service was available and excellent too. It was nice to have spa services available for our last day in CR.
The food was definitely the low light of the Hilton in Liberia. The menu looked good but what came to us did not taste so good - every single time. - My issue with tip included on the bill is that service staff only have to do the bare minimum to get tipped and they (or establishment) get a gratuity regardless of how hard they work, how pleasant they were, or how enjoyable the experience was. I understand the need for tip-included policies in international hubs to standardize the practice for all travellers but the downside is that the service staff don't have to work for it, they often (not always) don't. This minimalistic service attitude has shown up in other places I've been with this policy too but definitely apparent at the restaurant and particularly the poolside at the Liberia Hilton.
The pool and quiet room
They charge $14 for continental breakfast. Beware. We were leaving and grabbed fruit. Charge was excessive. Front desk lady tried to charge wrong price when we booked online
The restaurant was nice and very good.
The air conditioner was not working properly.
The hotel is clean and comfy. All of the Staff are friendly and helpful. The gym and the pool are nice.
The food is bland and overpriced. There's nothing to do in the area other than transit through the Daniel Oduber airport.
Quality of food was mediocre. I had Caesar salad with chicken and it was too salty and unappetizing.
Good and clean place. The restaurant served good food and reasonably priced.
Nothing around in the vicinity other than the airport. But if you time it right when you arrive, it wont matter. Have a nice meal at the hotel and a dip in the pool.
The location is great if you have an early flight out of Liberia Airport. We Our family of four stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn our last night in Costa Rica after traveling throughout the country via rental car. The room was a standard two double bed configuration that was clean and comfortable. The wifi service was excellent and the free shuttle to the airport was nice.
The restaurant was expensive and the swimming pool was very crowded.
Not much to do close but very good for being close to airport.
location and amenitites
smell in lobby and near public bathrooms in lobby.
Everything was as expected for a hilton
Issues with credit card charges after we arrived home.
It's very well run, staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful. Breakfast buffet is first rate. Other meals vary. Some were very good, others not so much. Rooms are clean, the location is great, and it's a good location for all kinds of things. Close to Liberia, but outside the busiest parts, about a half hour drive to some excellent beaches, and there's a nice outside area that's great for drinks and hanging out at night. Highly recommended.
Very overpriced and inauthentic for costa rica
Convenience to Liberia airport, particularly for late-arriving and early-departing flights. It's the only hotel in the area for now. My husband and I should have stayed there the night we arrived. After picking up the rental car at 8:30 p.m. we hit the unmarked roads of Costa Rica in near total darkness, and got lost (but did find our destination, around 10 p.m.). In the daylight, it all made so much more sense.
The limited options for travelers departing at dawn from Liberia airport. The hotel was lovely, as and had all the amenities one would expect from a Hilton (including a wonderfully accommodating staff), but the cost was exorbitant for Costa Rica.
The beds were very comfortable and the Wifi worked well.
We had the worse room ever - room 222. All you could see out the window were several industrial air condition units - I felt completely claustrophobic. There was no breakfast service which was a real problem for us since we had turned in our rental car to spend the night and take their shuttle to the airport. It's kind of isolated so we couldn't walk for food and ended up having a $10 bag of sun chips from their gift shop for breakfast. I found the front desk staff very unhelpful - really couldn't believe this hotel had Hilton in its name. We paid a lot to stay for the night and were expecting much more from it. Next time we'll stay somewhere else in Liberia as we travel to CR regularly.
Refridge broken only decaf coffee in room microwave broken staff in bar Don't know WiFi code. They think you Don't need one so frustrating when first arrive.
