Holiday Inn Express San Jose Airport  

This hotel is near the airport. We stayed twice on our outward and inward trip. Friendly, helpful staff. Great "tico" breakfast! Shuttle to and from the airport.

Nothing!!!

Everything has been thought of. It was especially useful to have free international telephone calls. The coffee maker in the room was also excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, plenty of storage and every facility that would be required. Spacious bathroom. I had time to enjoy the pool area which was clean with well tended gardens. Breakfast offered everything you could wish for. There were ice machines in the corridors. A very comfortable stay. I had express checkout so no need to stop by the desk the following day.However the staff were very helpful and friendly and called to ensure everything was fine with my room. If visiting that area of Costa Rica again I would definitely choose this hotel.

It was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great, I like a buffet breakfast. Very close to the airport and a free shuttle to the airport.

The guy on reception when we first arrived was not very friendly, but when we were leaving in the morning a different guy was very nice.

After traveling for another in Costa Rica , this was perfect place to relax in comfort before heading to uSA. Excellent location and amenities .

Limited restaurants nearby. Not crazy about Denny's .

This hotel has become our home away from home when arriving and leaving Costa Rica.

Convienience to the airport and I really like the fact that I was able to have free international call to home (Canada) Thank you. I wish I could have enjoyed the pool, but it rained upon my arrival and was a bit chilly.

The beds were uncomfortable, but then I really like a softer matress, and the fact that I was on my way back to Canada, I didnt want to leave Costa Rica ;)

It was very important to us to be able to stay close to the airport because we had an early morning flight on our return. It was great that we were offered free shuttle to the airport that morning. We were able to turn in our rental car a day earlier.

The bed was a bit too hard....if this is my only complaint, you did a great job

It was close to the airport and this excellent. This hotel is a great starting place to start or finish one's holiday in Costa Rica if one has a late night arrival or a very early departure

Chain hotel but clean, comfortable, convenient location adjacent to airport.

Clerk unsure of how to catch bus to Monteverde which passed in front of hotel; she sent us into San Jose in the opposite direction of Monteverde.

Near the airport. Clean. Shuttle bus. Breakfast. You know what to expect when you go to Holiday Inn.

Very convenient for airport. Excellent, quick and frequent airport shuttle.

We paid for breakfast, but we checked out too early for this, so were offered a carry-out breakfast instead. This turned out to be a bag with a bottle of water, a banana and a muffin in it. Very poor, and this should have been explained as I asked to cancel the breakfast.

Location next to airport, free shuttle service which was available whenever we needed it. Denny's restaurant next door. Clean, tidy and pretty quiet, recommended if you have a very late arrival or early departure from San Jose airport

The take-out breakfast was a little small, but other than that, no complaints!

Quite expensive, very noisy in the rooms, because of the proximity to the airport.

I liked the location of the hotel to the airport it was very convenient. The rooms were exceptional and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Very average. The only positive is that it is close to the airport and therefore convenient in waiting for a flight.

My room (201) was immediately above the automatic sliding door of the hotel entrance. Every time someone entered or left the hotel, I would hear these doors "swoosh" as if they were in the room. Because this was at random intervals, I got no sleep.

Perfect location, especially since we needed to bring back our rental car. Very comfortable rooms, good beds. Breakfast improved since last time we visited.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the proximity to the rental car agencies (across the parking lot from Thrifty and Budget), the free internet and printing services, the comfortable king bed, the clean room and bathroom (found a bug but not uncommon for Costa Rica), and the delicious breakfast (ham, eggs, cereal, toast, fresh fruit). Shuttle to the airport ran every 15min, 24 hours, and free international calls included.
