Costa Rica Marriott Hotel San Jose  

Calm, relaxing place set in beautiful grounds and with consistently excellent service from the professional staff. Great breakfast too!

This Marriott was an unexpected surprise. We stayed there after flying in and before flying out of San Jose. It is about a 15 minute drive from the airport and is well worth the short taxi trip. The hotel design is beautiful, open, and airy. We were on the 4th floor and had a view of the lovely green mountains. The bar and restaurant were great. We would stay here again and recommend it.

Good location as we were heading it Quepos. The Tapa restaurant was really good, however costly though. The pool was very good,never made it to the hot tub.

It was quite costly. They should have had pick up at the airport. Otherwise very good choice for us, safe and very comfortable.

Nice gardens, pool area, relaxing atmosphere, nice room also.

Tapas restaurant, it was expensive and the service was very slow on November 22nd. Spa facilities were not good enough; for three days one after another I tried the steam room and the sauna but no chance both of them were cold each time I visited! Staff was friendly and they did not charge me anything for the coffee peeling therapy as I became allergic to the salts. Allover at the hotel staff was very friendly and pofessional. Coffee shop was excellent.

The rooms where excelent

The booking confirmation said it was including a continental breakfast, it did not mentioneld that the Executive rooms could only have breakfast in the executive lounge. Whe breakfast 2 times in the restaurant. And we where charged 80 dollars for that. In my perception is a executive a sort of upgrade of a normal room, there fors its not logical that a conformation with including continental breakfast is restricted to the Executive lounge. They havent mentioned it and where not willing to solve this issue even after showwing my conformation from Booking.com

Amazing hotel, 5 min from the international airport so perfect for last night, fab pool, fab hotel, excellent tapas restaurant as well... We would stay in if we are to come back to san jose. Hotels in city center San Jose are bad in general. That one is 20ish min from down town but its way better than inner city ones.

It really is a fabulous hotel. The minute I walked in I felt relaxed...piped classical music and so many places in the communal areas to sit and contemplate. Absolute heaven for anybody stressed or in need of a little"time for me". Because of the wonderful climate the whole hotel is open to the elements. I shall be returning.l

El hotel es muy bonito, tanto las áreas internas como externas. Nuestra habitación (planta Business) tenía balcón y una vista preciosa de la piscina y el campo de golf. La cama era muy cómoda. El acceso al Business lounge facilita mucho todo, pues uno puede tomar té o café con bocadillos a cualquier momento, también ofrecen agua, bebidas, etc. El personal muy atento y amable, sobre todo los que atienden en el lounge. Mi hijo de un año y medio lo pasó muy bien caminando por las distintas zonas del hotel y disfrutando de la piscina. El gymnasio está muy bien equipado.

Sobre todo no nos ha gustado que el hotel sea tan ruidoso. Creo que las habitaciones que están en la planta principal, donde quedan los restaurantes y salas de conferencia son las peores. Nuestra habitación quedaba en una esquina y aunque no escuchábamos nada de las demás habitaciones, sí nos llegaba mucho ruido de los restaurantes y del bar. Estábamos justo sobre el bar y tanto en la noche como muy temprano en la mañana (6am) la gente arrastraba sillas y mesas sobre el piso de piedra, haciendo mucho ruido. Siempre nos despertábamos. Teníamos que dormir con las ventanas cerradas y el aire acondicionado prendido, aunque no nos gustase. Los servicios (cancha de tenis, sauna, golf) son todos cobrados aparte y son caros. La zona donde está ubicado el hotel no es muy bonita y queda alejada del centro, si tienes que salir hay que considerar el tiempo en el tráfico y el costo del taxi, que es elevado en San José.

Die nette Dame beim Frühstücksbufett, die das Omelett an den Tisch brachte. Alle Kellner waren sehr zuvorkommend.

Шикарный отель.Номера очень уютные,чистые и современные.Бассейн очень теплый и приятный,без хлорного запаха.В ресторане все вкусно,показалось правда дороговатым,но качество соответсвует. Персонал отличный,очень приветливые. Пляж в минуте ходьбы, есть гамаки в тени пальм. Народа почти никого. Хорош для семейного или романтичного отдыха, приятно находится.

Удален от населенного пункта,а такси реально дорогое.Вечером можно поблизости пойти не куда.

Jeg var syg da jeg ankom til hotellet og havde givet dem forkerte oplysninger om, ja alt No Problem, sagde de. Jeg ændrede længde på mit ophold 3 gange, først grundet feber, siden grundet orkanen Sandy. No, Problem...... Den første booking var til en meget favorabel pris, den anden ville havde været omkring 650,- mere, men de tilpassede prisen efter min første booking. Hvordan kan det blive endnu bedre end det? For første gang brugte jeg ikke min egen hovedpude, hvilken luksus, med forskellige tykkelser og blødhed I puderne. Wow.... Servicen er helt fantastisk, maden er helt I top og stedet selv er smukt smukt smukt

Het is niet van deze tijd dat je apart moet betalen voor internetgebruik. Er zijn andere business hotels waarbij het vanzelfsprekend is dat je kostenloos gebruik maakt van internet. Bij de reservering via booking.com stond vermeld dat het verblijf inclusief ontbijt was. Dit was bij inchecken niet bekend. Pas nadat ik de bevestiging toonde werd het ontbijt toegekend. Echter, de volgende ochtend werd het toch weer gefactureerd.

Superschönes Hotel auf 5-Stern-Niveau, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Grosszügige Gartenanlage mit schönem Swimming Pool, Top-Restaurants (gehobene Preise), ruhig gelegen, nur ca. 10 Min. zum Flughafen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Wifi im Zimmer kostenpflichtig. Kein Shuttle-Service zum Flughafen.

Easy check in, good (although a bit pricey) tapas restaurant, helpful staff!

Ist ein sehr großes aber auch sehr schönes Haus. Die Anlage ist sehr großzügig und das Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer schön und geräumig. Der Ausblick auf die Berge war einfach toll!

Leider befindet sich an der Ostseite des Hotels derzeit eine rießige Baustelle, die es noch einige Zeit geben wird. Am besten auf die Westflügel ausweichen, dann ist das alles ok! Der Fluglärm bedingt durch die Nähe des Flughafen ist vorhanden, stört aber nicht sonderlich.
