great, spacious rooms, good breakfast, clean, awesome pool, praking lots supervised
sometimes moody staff, wifi just in the reception
-Great staff -Great Facilities -Very clean -Amazing swimming pool
Very nice bathrooms, decor and furniture felt very welcoming. The free breakfast was absolutely delicious! Included typical hot Costa Rican breakfast items, and a wide assortment of beverages. Pool was very nice, and the overall atmosphere of the lodge was very tropical, loved it!
The front of the lodge has little to no lighting during the night time, making it harder to find on our drive to there. The reception desk by the front gate was also closed between 10pm-5am. We were not aware of this, and arrived to the hotel by 11:30 pm (we had gotten lost for over an hour trying to find the lodge). By the time we arrived, the gates were locked, with nobody at the reception desk. We ended up having to sleep in our rental car until about 5:00 am, when we were lucky enough to get the security guard's attention to open up the gate for us and give us the keys.
the pool, the rooms
Road signs are not clear enough, especially at night but also at day time (we had booked at "Rainforest Lodge", and the main sign says "Centro Neotropico")
The setting and it was close to a beautiful rainforest Helpful staff and a very nice bar and sitting area
Wifi only worked in the reception area
really cool buildings, onsite things to do good for 1-2 nights
no direct river view
The grounds look wonderful and the rooms are very comfortable. Our interaction with the staff was minimal but they seemed eager to please.
Our visit was a bit strange. We were checked in by a new employee who left after getting us a drink- if we wanted food we would have to go back out since the restaurant was closed.. We were the only guests in the hotel and the only employee left was the security guard. Since they don't actually use the name Sarapiquis Rainforest lodge, neither the gps nor the hotel signage was very helpful in finding the place in the dark- an employee at another hotel had to tell us what the real name was.
