The waiter in the restaurant who served breakfast and dinner tried his best to accommodate us but even the restaurant was very cold. We were there on a bad weather, my friend got sick but the bed was really the best place to stay during that time.
Cold in the night, the small heater wasn't sufficient to heat the room. The coffee maker was filled with stagnant water and full of mold.
Service and relaxed atmosfeer, cozy restaurant with fire place and wifi.Very comfi beds and instant hot water shower. Thank you Max.
View of the surroundings, farm style, hummingbird, chicken. Best breakfast I've had in Costa Rica. Clean and good wifi. Room prettyish. Hot water!!
Nothing around, all shops and restaurants close early and their menu for dinner was quite expensive. We had to drive 20 mins to find a restaurant open. Bed really hard.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Price for the area was good. Clean rooms but cold at night so plan accordingly.
Staff was very helpful. Spoke excellent English
Needed access to restaurant earlier than 7
Nice location between Poas and Waterfall Gardens.
Nice people ran the place
Rooms unheated and quite cold/
The location of the property is amazing it over looks the valley and has an amazing view.
When we showed up they hand you a form which you are required to sign to stay there which insinuates that your a thief and they do an itemized check list to make sure you don't steal anything on your stay. The rooms are freezing they don't offer heaters on cold nights, you have to go ask the staff and then they hand you a little six inch portable heater to heat the room, breakfast was a joke it they offer you microwaved coffee for breakfast and the food was about as good, when you walk into the dinning area it is well put together but when you are served its way below average. The hot water is gone in minutes your sharing hot water with the other rooms and if anyone else takes a shower before you, it's going to be a cold shower. I was very disappointed with my stay here. Do your research and read more reviews on the this hotel before staying there wish I had...
rustic setting-- views-- cleanliness--staff--great breakfast--value
evening meal was so-so.
No heaters provided unless you asked for one. It was bitter cold and windy. Our mattress was so old in all of our three rooms, they sloped in center. Terrible. Breakfast, while in the coffee plantation area, was Nescafé and heated in microwave. They locked you in at night with the large gate. We couldn't go to get store while my daughter was ill. Worst place we have ever stayed. Very close to La Paz. We travel all over. This was ridiculous for a hotel so close to a landmark.
Great location (near La Paz Waterfall Gardens and a 20 min car ride to Vulcan Poas, also there is a nice forrest walk on the premises). A family-run business with everyone very friendly, helpful, and always ready to help you out. The surroundings are beautiful, but beware that this is not the warmest region in Costa Rica and it rains most of the time).
We had some issues with facilities and the bed. The hot water did not work which was devastating considering how cold and rainy it was at this time. After a long day of trial and errors we finally managed to take a relatively warm shower, but the water did not last (a very quick one, lets say). On the second day they moved us next door and the shower worked properly. The bed in the first room was very uncomfortable with a mattress that was too old and basically collapsed every time we laid on it.
Very pleasant host, cleanest, fast internet.
The music in the restaurant where all day the same...
Very nice and helpfull staff
No warm water, really cold inside the cottage, very noisy- next to bussy road
The bedrooms were clean.
Really bad mattress. Cold water in the bathroom. No heating while it was really cold. We were alone, no other customers ... We surely did the bad choice in this area.
Breakfast was good. Lunch was not good enough and reletively expensive.
Was very rundown and we moved out after 1 hour!!
The stay was amazing.

Great Location. We stayed in the units facing the garden
The owners are very nice and helpful...the food is good too. The room is acceptable but the cost is a bit over rated for what you get... It's well situated also.
When we arrived to check in, the reception was quite lukewarm compared to the other hotels we stayed in.
The hotel is very quaint and family run. It is literally 3 minutes by car from the La Paz Waterfall Garden park and staying here gives you a wonderfully authentic taste of Costa Rican hospitality! The room we had was in a small guest house with only 1 other room. The view was fantastic and it would be perfect for a family (1 room for kids, 1 for adults) but in the same house. The food was quite possibly the best I've ever had, so be sure to eat at the restaurant. If you're looking for a commercial, uniform experience like at a chain hotel, this isn't the right place for you. More like a B&B. 10 out of 10!
Beautiful location close to the vulcan, nice staff, very good breakfast
Very nice romantic accomodation. Very rich breakfast. Perfect and kind staff.
Wifi was not supporting my PC settings--- dont know exactly what was the problem
Beautiful countryside between mountains
The room had coffemaker but no spoons, so we needed to improvise
Great hospitality! Took great care of us. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Stayed 1 night but could have stayed more. Close to Poas and La Paz Waterfalls.
