Has a pretty view of the volcano.
A little out of the way from town, off a dirt road (but then again, a good portion of the area is dirt roads.) The bed was thin, lumpy, and you can feel the springs. The air conditioning unit was directly above one of the beds, making that bed drafty. But you have to keep the air on pretty high, otherwise the room is warm, damp, and humid. We asked the front desk for an extra towel the first night (they only left 3 for a 4 person reservation). The lady said someone would drop it off, but by the time we came back from dinner, we found out they never did and the office was already closed. The toilet made a screechy noise after you flush. The lady who checked us in informed us there was a buffet breakfast for $7/person. But on check out, a different guy said since we reserved through Booking.com, the breakfast is free. Breakfast is good only if free- includes toast, eggs, rice and beans, fruit, juice, coffee, tea. But would have been a rip-off at $7.
helpful staff, beautiful surroundings
villas somewhat old, long walk to town (car highly recommended)
It was quiet and close to La Fortuna.
The owner/manager Aldo was very kind and helpful!! Also the landscape was gorgeous!
The beds were a bit too stiff.
The Argentinian couple that run this place now are more than accommodating.
It wasn't the cleanest of rooms. What you sleep on will be fine, but cobwebs and some bugs were around.
Friendly and very helpful staff.
The grounds are beautiful. We saw beautiful birds and heard the howler monkey. The plants were all identified. The breakfast was great; the ladies know how to make good scrambled eggs. Wifi was very good. The office crew were always willing to call a taxi for us.
The beds were hard. The TV was ancient and flipped the way TVs did 50 years ago. You're out in the country on a rocky, unpaved road, so you have to take taxis everywhere if you don't have a car.
