Hotel Villas Playa Samara  

Nice bay, beautiful location. nice pool. Nice and friendly people. lots of room in the villas

seemed a bit dated. beds not comfortable. no shade around the pool area.

The location is very nice and the grounds are lovely.

We did not like the fact that there had been an earthquake 3 months prior to our visit and we were never notified that there had been damage to the property. We arrived and the entire pool/reception area was torn apart. Literally, workers were sawing wood, cutting brick, laying brick, soldering, welding, digging, power-washing,etc. for 14 hours a day. We could not use the pool at any point during our 4 day stay, had to jump over sections of the walkway which were missing, were without water in the mornings due to the pool repairs that were underway, and had to listen to construction during our entire stay. We were very upset that we had not been notified prior to our visit to the conditions. We were given a $100 discount for the inconvenience.

Samara Beach is great. Buildings lay out gives privacy and let you enjoy the surrounding nature. Cocktails in the swimming pool. Iguanas, horses and flowers. Towels service for the beach and swimming pool.

1. They will ask you to sign an agreement when you arrive with policies not mentioned in the website. Take time to read them and complain if you disagree. 2. They expect you to check out at 10am or pay 30USD per every extra hour. We complaint as our booking.com reservation said 10am-12m. Even if they agreed they came to our room to ask us to leave at 10.30am and it was on low season!!! 3. Wireless not available on the "entire" hotel. Only near the reception and restaurant. 4. Room is not well maintained expect small issues: lose and noisy bed, block shower... 5. With exception of breakfast, there is not typical Costa Rican Food in the menu of the restaurant.

Las instalaciones y que queda muy cerca a la playa que es muy limpia y tranquila. Además el ambiente es muy tranquilo, relajante y especial para pasar en familia

La hora en que entregan la villa es a las 4 de la tarde y se debe entregas a las 10 de la mañana

It was on the beach. The swim-up bar was fun, and the bartender provided clean dry beach towels upon request. The hammock on the patio was a nice touch, as were the welcoming hibiscus flowers placed on the beds and in the bathroom. It was easy to add drinks and meals to the room tab.

Front desk staff were not completely fluent in English, making communication uncomfortable.
