Well positioned in the heart of town. Fairly basic but well looked after. Clean, friendly and food good.

We did not have a balcony which was a nuisance, even though they look over the street! Room was a bit claustrophobic.

Good location in the middle of Sal Rei. English-speaking staff. Clean and nice.

Room was small, no balcony and it was noicy sometimes. A bit overprized.

I know the problems of Cape-Verde and its society. I am not expecting too much interaction and overt friendliness from the staff because Cape Verdians are not raised like this. But it was a reasonable stay.

    1) The city offers literally NOTHING. 2) The hotel has nothing to entertain the guests besides two intermittent TV channels: one is a Portuguese the other is the Cape Verdean. 3) AS ALWAYS in Cape Verde, the bathrooms are a disaster. Sovjets would gave 20 years of Siberia to those who build bathrooms like this. 4) Breakfast was 3 on the scale of 10. 5) Meals were okay and served in a good quantity and quality. However, we encountered a falsely advertised food which had different constituent to what the title suggested. 6) The publicity says the hotel is 200 m from the beach. In fact, that beach is a rocky dirty bay for fishermen's boats. It would not hurt to tell in the first place where to look for the beach and thus we would not have started to walk to the opposite direction for an hour. 7) If they had some sense of business they would offer WIFI grátis instead of charging ridiculous 4 Euro/5$ /hour access. 8) It is very weird that the hotel staff believes that they best rooms are which are facing the street as they have only 1st and 2nd floor. Thus we changed it immediately to the one facing the opposite, calm side. Still, I heard that this was the best hotel in Sal Rei.
