we stayed in the Montana deluxe apartment and had a great time: -very well equipped kitchen -beautiful dark furniture -huge terrace -airco and fans working well -gardens around very well kept -big pool -Jan Thiel area is great in all kinds of ways, beach and supermarket most of all
The gardens are carefully supported, the villas are very comfortable and wide, only need to add a toaster for the kitchen, the swimming pool and areas around are very agreeable, there are no night noises in spite of the nearness to the principal route, the nearness to the supermarket is a great advantage, and definitively we adored jan thiel beach!
The kitchen of the hotel could be more clean! I mean it's not attractive at all, we went just once to have lunch and noticed that the floor was really dirty and the personal presentation of the cook is not the best: without any uniform and keeping is hair protected while cooking....
the villa was spacious and had all necessary facilities. The swimming pool was large and also had a baby pool and a little playground. There is a supermarket nearby and also some restaurants.
The complex is not right on the beach (a short walk away but you don't feel like going back to pick up something). The beach has good services but is not the best on the island and most shady places are occupied by paid beds. One has to rent a car at least for some days to go to the nicer beaches. Also night life is limited for those who want this.
Good location Very spacious apartment Good amenities nearby Nice pool area Good value for money
Terrible WiFi in apartment Unfriendly local staff Apartment only cleaned once during stay - could have done with every other day or instead provide more cleaning equipment for guests to use themselves
I liked the pool and the cute little bungalows. The fresh flowers were a nice touch and the reception staff were very nice and helpful
The waitress at the restaurant was so unpleasant we avoided it the rest of our stay. There were no washcloths for the shower, no shampoo/conditioner/lotion/dishsoap- 7;sponge/dishwasher detergent even a small amount that we always get in lesser star places. The door lock broke, the A/C broke and the phones in the rooms don't work at all. All info and instructions were given to us in Dutch even though we spoke only English to the staff.
space and equipment of the villa Good access to the beach
cleanness (dusty) of the areas under the beds, closets and furniture
- The flat is large and clear, but only at the upper floor (those at the ground floor are dark with a smaller terrace). - The kitchen is convenient with sufficient utensils. - A super-market close to the resort. - A really large (25 m) and beautiful swimming-pool which allows to swim.
-Extremely bad management: at the reservation (mid october 2013) I have expressed my wishes: Montana flat at the upper floor and with a sea view. This was agreed upon. Early January I have been contacted by phone (which was nice) to tell me the sea view was not possible (why??) but I would be upgraded to a larger flat: I agreed. End of January, nothing was done, nobody was aware and I have spent 2 days of hard discussions, in a dark flat, before I could have a flat at the upper floor. - The beach at the sea side is private, 200 m outside the resort, artificial, with too many people alined on lounge chairs. It is forbidden to lay on the sand and it is mandatory to pay for lounge chairs. - No bank in the surroundings, and the only cash machine (which was located outside the resort) debited by bank account with 1500 ANG (around 1000 US$) without giving me any banknotes!
