the staff was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are big. good location in the middle of everything.
The room and all the small restaurants around the hotel. The privacy.
cute apt room, neighborhood was a bit shady but close to everything downtown, staff is friendly
no phone, AC does not serve lower half of apt which can be a killer in Curacao temperatures. Shower goes cold after 2 minutes.
Great location, easily walkable, near a lot of newly renovated places.
Tins of Mosquitos! Remember to bring bug spray... It would be nice if the open air rooms had a net over the bed to combat the relentless bugs! Beaches on this part of the island aren't exactly accessible. You'll need a car to get around the island.
unique, quaint setting
Great location, and amazing place. Very nice old buildings transformed into a hotel. Lots of character!
The location is good - but the area is very lively. To manage good night sleep, remember to bring ear plugs because the "windows" do not block anything.
Noise, but manageble with ear plugs.
Good downtown location. Beautiful renovated quarter with lots of great bars and restaurants. Beautiful rock beach available.
Toilets and douche at your pillow with only a poor board as partition, toilet even without a door! No bathroom available. Very noisy airconditioners and a very noisy transformator in the garden which you can´t switch off.
Great location and nice apartments...
quaint and quirky building pleasant area/location
- we booked a CLASSIC SUITE thru Booking.com. - their confirmation stated LARGE STUDIO WITH OWN BATHROOM - what we actually got was a STUDIO, with in one corner, under the sloping ceiling, a set-off area of about 2m x 2m, containing both shower and toilet and basin. This 'wet-cell' had an open, doorless entry and was partially seperated from the living/sleeping area by a low wall only. This 'openness' affordeded no privacy whatsoever whilst one is making use of the toilet. Furthermore, after showering. the whole area (including the toilet and basin) was swamped with water and needed to be mopped up with the supplied towels. This area certainly does not qualify as a BATHROOM. Very unsatisfactory.
Lovely appartment in a very pleasant street. Stylish design and very comfortable. Staff were helpful, and it is situated a short walk from the centre of Willemstad. The terrace and pool were great for relaxing on days that we didn't go to the beach.
The promised private beach nearby - Rock Beach - is more of a bar than a beach. Not really a beach as such. Also we manage to flood the whole appartment with the shower, which overflowed far too easily. Also the restaurant next door was quite loud on some nights.
Good shower and confortable bed
1) Room doesnt have sound proof and there are lot of bars around! Noise at night! 2) They made an entire mess with our reservation. Should be for three persons, not for two! We register on website for THREE, being 1 extrabed. We didnt get any answer. So at our arrive, we ask for anything that could resolve this MESS, a matress, an extrabed, anything suitable for a third persons. They offer a room for the regular price.. This attitute was insane and abusive, since because of THEIR omission/error, we didnt get an extra bed. Because of that, i was force to pay ANOTHER hotel and my friends stay in Petermal (otherwise, of course, they would have to pay the cancel fee of 900 US$, oh yeah). Conclusion: absolutly insensitivity of staff due the situation that THEY self created for customers... its RIDICULOUS.
Perfect location. Lost of restaurants en bars in the neighbourhoud. Nice room. Friendly staff.
The bed made à lot of noice and small. The toilet in the bedroom is open. A bit strange.
Location Nice garden
Bathroom and cooking facilities need more cleaning.
It was a nice location with nice cafes close by. Really a cute place and the room nice and spacious.
The bathroom was totally open, which took me by complete surprise. I did not care for that design at all. I had to ask my husband to leave the room, and vice versa. It made it severely uncomfortable for both so us as we are " bathroom private" people. For a young couple of newly weds it would have been a disaster.
Great cozy and stylish rooms, good location, helpful staff, very good hotel for the price!
Weekend evenings are quite noisy due to the restaurants in the same complex, the music always ended right after 11 pm, however.
Very good localization; spectacular staff, including good options for diving; very good dive masters; beautiful view; in front of sea; very good apartment; good localization, few blocks from city center.
Great location, historical buildings.
it was cozy
- Friendly staff - Vibrant neighborhood: artistic atmosphere, students, nice restaurants - Overall design
- No internet reception / WIFI signal - Bathroom was INSIDE the bedroom (open bathroom)
We loved the set up and the style of the apartment. Great location, very close to the shopping area. We had a very pleasant stay.
Coming from NYC on our way to Bonaire to visit our family with a lot of luggage, we did not carry any soap, shampoo and dish soap. We had to buy them for just 4 nights. It would have been great at least to find like in any other accommodations, a soap and a shampoo to refresh ourselves before to go shopping.
Great European type concept.
Fantastic vibe such a nice up and coming neighborhood.
The apartments are well equipped, beautifully renovated and in an area of Willemstadt that is undergoing a renaissance. In easy walking distance are numerous eateries, local markets, the water front and shops.
Parking can be hit and miss if you hies a car, although the apartments have use of a small car park, and at night the road side parking tends to be less busy. Beware, there is a lot of restoration work going on nearby and in the area generally, but this will not affect your holiday. The work is slowly but surely bringing Pietermaai back to its former glory. We were in Curacao for a sporting event, rather than a holiday. I would not choose Curacao over other English speaking Caribbean islands, as it's 1.5 hours longer on your flight, and it's not the prettiest island. The oil refinery doesn't help. There are some lovely beaches, but personally, I'd rather do to Antigua, Tobago or Barbados.
