Although we very much enjoyed our stay at Piscadera Harbour Village, there were still a few things we didn't like so much. First, it was nearly impossible to get warm water, no matter how hard we tried. So, we got used to taking cold showers. Also, in one of the bathrooms water did not go down the drain when showering, leaving us standing in cold drain water up to our ankles. Secondly, we had ants in our kitchen who quickly took over any sweet food (e.g., muesli, cookies, chocolate) which was left on the kitchen top. Thirdly, there is some major construction work going on -- accompanied by noise -- right in front of the apartment complex as well as in the compound. Fourth, housekeeping is rather basic: towels were changed only once in seven days. The apartment was cleaned twice but not very thoroughly. Fifth, the hotel provides a free entrance to the nearest beach (Pirate Bay Beach) but you still have to pay for using beach chairs (3 USD per chair).
The apartment is new, modern, and spacious! The whole apartment complex is well planned/designed and looks beautiful. Although the hotel is not right on the beach we had a lovely view of Piscadera Bay from our master bedroom window and from the balcony. The pool area is also very nice although some shade would have been welcome as the sun is very hot after midday. The staff are friendly and helpful and we very much appreciated the complimentary late check-out. Once construction works in front of the village are finally complete, the place will be a true gem!
