I am an attorney and I travel a lot for business. This hotel was perfect for what I needed which was near the court house, clean wit helpful staff.

    Close to downtown Willemstad

Food offerings were insufficient in general and specifically at breakfast.

On the internet I found this place while the price you had to pay was lowered for a longer time to stay, So in compare to other hotels of this kind I was pleased

Have not seen or things that I do not like

Location and ambiance were nice. Rooms were comfortable, convenient but not very clean.

Staff at check in was very nice and helpful (Friday). Saturday and Sunday not very attentive. Breakfast overpriced for what was served. You have to close the curtains in room for privacy.

The courtyard with its pool and comfortable armchairs and dining tables is charming and attractive. It was very nice to be able to relax outdoors but close to shelter (it rained in the morning). I would choose this hotel again.

    This is a hotel where warm showers will be offered (again), compared to other budget hotels/hostels of the Caribbean;

    too vulgar staff behaviour

Good location fro visiting Willemstad without a car. Short hike to, etc. Charming building had been a monastery with lovely atrium where breakfast ($15) is served. Very sensitively restored with stained glass windows etc. still in place, .Staff is polite and welcoming. Even though the building is right on a main thorough fare our room was very quiet.. We would stay there again.

We did not go there to swim, which is a very good thing, as the size of the pool is not much bigger than a very large hot tub! The picture on the web is an optical delusion!

Nice personnel, vicinity to the centre, garden with pool, large, extremely comfortable beds

Mosquitoes, a bit dark indoors since the only glased window was on the door facing the courtyard/garden

I so enjoyed the character, small size, and clientele. Good restaurant. Don't overlook the hammocks!

Nothing comes to mind. It was exactly what I expected.

The restoration work done at this hotel is very well done. The rooms keep part of what I believe is the original tiles. Decoration in the rooms is modern and done with a very good taste. I really like the very high ceilings. The bed (although it is a small double bed) is very comfy and it has very nice bed linen. Location is very good, in the neighborhood of Pietermaai, very nice bars and restaurants around to explore. The restaurant at the hotel occupies the church of the monastery, decoration is very original.

Our room was located in the patio, next to the breakfast place, which made it a bit too noisy in the morning. Also, house keeping was knocking at our door quite early, which I found a bit rude.

The welcome drink. The small pool and the pool area. The lounge. The staff doesn't speak very good English, but they are helpful. Bed sheets were quite clean. Free internet was good and fast.

When first using the toilet, the "suprise" left there by the cleaner or previous users. Dead cockroach in the shower cabin. Floors in the room looked like you don't want to take your shoes off. Road side "windows" were actually made of wood, slits between them - meaning the noise from cars/people was as if they were in the room. Location - it is not in the centre. It is not far from it, but the area is creepy for walking in the dark. As there is not too much to do in the Willemstad centre, I think it is better to take a hotel more far away, with a beach and as you have rented a car anyway, you can just visit the centre

it is in walking distance to Pietermaai and Punda

unfriendly staff not welcoming you always had the feeling you disturb them in their work rooms are ok but expensive in comparison to other hotels you would get a better deal

The place is very interesting because it is an ancient monastery. I stayed just one night, but it seemed well organized and clean. It has a small restaurant attached and the dishes are good at a reasonable price. We received help from the watchman, who was very helpful to book a taxi for us at morning.

Reception is not 24 hours, and it was closed at 19:00 and we had not been warned on checkin to be able to perform checkout and reserve taxi. There is no beach near the hotel, which was not a problem for me because I spent only one night

Very nice staff and clean comfortable facilities

not in walking distance, due to the climate of the island, to beaches, restaurants and shops.
