Great location - near fig tree bay! Fantastic beach! Could not be more central - everything you need is just a few minutes walk. And bus stop outside e'very 10/15 mins connects to anywhere on the island. Also romeos greek taverna just opposite features the best greek show ever, twice a week - not to be missed!! Great restaurants everywhere. And a very friendly welcome and service from the management and staff. Our studio accommodation was 40sq metres - considerably larger than most Hotel rooms- with basic,but acceptable fixtures & fittings - and impeccably clean!! Excellent value for the price!!

The doors and radiator fittings in the room were a bit tatty looking, but the hotel management is well aware of its maintenance issues - and it is the end of the season!

Wifi policy is very poor.

was a bit noisy...you could hear people moving on the top floor last year stayed there with the same price in a bigger room though...so would expect to have cheaper price as got a smaller room this year.

Location was excellent, supermarkets, clothing shops, pharmacy, only a second away from the doorsteps of the Alva Hotel Apartments. Supermarket and shop prices very cheap for such a destination. apartments were very very clean, spacious, airy, quiet during the day and especially at night for that well needed sleep. One of the best beaches on the island, "Fig Tree Bay" could be seen from our balcony and it was only a 3 minute walk. We didn't move our car at all during our stay!

The only thing we didn't like was leaving!

The price and location in the centre of the resort.

The pool is nothing spectacular and is very stark in comparison to other hotels of similar price. Also they have sited the recycling poit directly behind the pool area, so when the wind blows in the right direction the smell is not pleasant.

The best thing about Alva was the location,no doubt. They're right in the main promenade,just 2 minutes away from the fig tree bay beach.

Breakfast doesn't worth it to pay for it: awful.

The Alva Hotel Apartments are in an excellent location - just across the road (about 200m) from Fig Tree Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Protaras/Ayia Napa area of Cyprus. The apartments are also within a short driving distance of other exceptional Cypriot beaches such as Konos and Makronissos. We had a hired car but judging by the number of busses that were travelling on the main road in front of the apartments, it seems as if the hotel is on a good bus route that will take you there and to other tourist attractions in the Ayia Napa area, if you're 'car-less'. At night, you are also close to restaurants, pubs and every sort of entertainment one might need after a day in the sun.

Unfortunately, the apartment we were shown to on arrival did not resemble the pictures shown on the Alva Hotel Apartments' internet site. On the site, there is a 'mix' of pictures - some showing a glamorous apartment (suite) and others showing rooms with that strip of wood nailed to the wall which passed as a headboard in the 1970s. My husband said that these apartments (the ones we were originally shown to) had less charm than a boarding-school dormitory. There are only two floors in the apartment complex that have been 'glamourously' done so if those kind of comforts are important to you, I suggest that you phone once your booking has been made and ensure you have one of those. We did pay extra but I think it was worth it. The breakfasts in a country abundant with tasty fresh produce like watermelon and other fruit, tasty cheeses and more-ish bread was mediocre to say the least. Come on Alva Hotel Apartments you did not live up to Cypriot hospitality in this regard!!

It is in the middle of Protaras. You can go anywhere without transportation!

The ladies which cleaning the rooms they should be more friendly and never talk in front of other customers what they saw in other rooms. Is not proffesional at all. Also place to all rooms the signs do not disturp or clean my room!

how quick i could check out!

1. the hotel parking was none exsistant, i had to park in resturant next door for my entire stay. 2. the pictures on the website are only the top priced rooms, i asked and paid for a family apartment with 2 rooms but was given a one bedroom apartment and the kids lived in the livingroom for the entire stay. 3. the bed sheets and towels were never changed for my entire stay and there was a horrible smell from the toilet, i spent 20 euros on cleaning products to make it barable 4. on departure the keY was collected and the desk clerk didn't even have the manners to say goodbye much less ask how our stay was. 5. the best part was the elevator that even the desk clerk refused to use because she was scared of getting stuck in it so 3 levels of stairs every day, great exercise! 6. the bar at the pool was manned by the chef/barman, at night we would be entertained by him running 100mtrs to and from the kitchen/pool bar/smoking room, accross the pool area with people's food orders, ocasionally stopping to pet the local stray cat, im soo glad i didnt do all inclusive!

At Alva Hotel, they know very well how to exceed their customers’ expectations. We had initially booked a studio room, but when we got there we had been told that our room was upgraded to a brand new suite!!! We had a great time!!!

Poor parking for cars!

I loved this hotel in every way. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you asked them any question, they were eager to help and explain in depth at any time of the day. I really appreciated their little tips and recommendations on how to get around. We had a family room which was very spacious, clean and simply decorated with a cozy touch. 24 hour free internet was precious too! As a welcome snack, there were 4 bottles of water, cookies and cake waiting for us upon our arrival inside our room. The location was awesome. Right next to the main streets and the parking lot (for which you have to pay a small extra). you can also cross into the turkish side by foot within 5-10 minute from Ledra St crossing. I have absoltutely NO complaints about this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to spend a few days in Lefkosia!

Hotel was clean and tidy, location was excellent.

although it was supposed to be a non smoking room, the room stunk of cigarette smoke so I had to buy an air freshner!!!

We didnt like the cleanliness of the bathroom, it was old and not wery cleen, no shower gel was provided. one of the bad was browken and the matress was awful.

Location

The beds were very unconfortable. The room furnishings were old which made everything look dirty. Advertised as airconditioned but then had to pay extra money as airconditioning included only the bedroom in the suite and not the living/kitchen area.

Is Central and clothe to the Beach

The Family Rooms ( apartment) has only One Klima u Pay for extra klima for livingroom..in sleepingroom was inclusive . The bed was uncomfortable .. The Pool was a joke..nothing for my family..

When we arrived, after a veeeery bad day, the smiling lady @ reception informed us that we have been up-gared to a Suite, although we had booked for a std double room. The room was simply perfect, new forniture, very clean and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! The whole staa has been extremely kind and the position is simply perfct, being this hotel in fron og Figue Tree Bay, you just need to cross the road and you're at the beach! FINAL SCORE: 10+

great location

the worst bed I ever slept on.the following day I had A backache. they need to be changed. most propably are there since opening. the swimming pool was not very clean. out of date.

The suites were very comfortable and spacious.

The actual hotel was a bit old fashioned but the suites were very modern and well thought out

The location was fantastic, a very very short walk to the beach and seconds from the nightlife and shops bars and restuarants. Although in a busy area, not a sound could be heard once inside the apartment. Lovely clean and modern air conditioned apartment with great views. Can't reccomend this place enough for fantastic location and brilliant value for money. Staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, will definately go there again if we are in cyprus.
