Pool furniture, especially large brollies for shade. Spacious and yet private garden with hedges all around at No 2 villa.
Could have used a casserole dish with lid for cooking. Table mats. Although information said bread and milk would be waiting, we had to telephone for it and wait some time to make a cup of tea after arrival in dark with no-one to greet us. Trees being cut down nearby all day every day! Very noisy. Had hoped for quiet.
Location was good with good public transport links although we hired a car which was a lot better for getting around. The main roads are generally good but some of the mountain roads and the "Coast road" in the west are borderline dangerous. The villa was well equipped although you'd get a better nights sleep on the floor rather than the rock hard beds. Each villa has it's own private pool which is not overlooked and the complex felt secure. A supermarket and restaurant is within walking distance and although more expensive than in town, is handy for the essentials. The staff were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Overall, We would seriously consider staying there again if we return to Cyprus.
Although the management can't fully control them, the constant infestation of ants in every room was an annoyance. A can of cockroach spray was provided in the villa but we had to buy our own ant spray to keep the problem at bay. We stayed in the villa for 11 days and the cleaner only came in once. They do inform you that should you require replacement towels they are available upon request but be prepared to look after yourself as it's not a hotel.
Very nice place! Comfortable, friendly.
Villa was very well equipped and clean, pool was lovely and not overlooked, bedrooms had sea views. Beach is about 300 metres with a segregated swimming area.
Nothing negative about the villa, wifi was sometimes unreliable, the neighbouring complex was quite noisy especially on Saturday night.
Not very far from the Coral Bay - only 5-7 minutes by car. Also not a problem to get to restaurants and supermarkets (Philippos, Papantoniu Chloraka etc.). The staff is friendly, polite and helpful. They even brought us beach towels on our demand without any extra charge.
There is no beach in 150 m. I cannot call a beach a small 10-meter place between the rocks near the hotel, which is occupied by the guests of the hotel. The real beach is 7 km away - Coral Bay. The Wi-fi is so poor, that it stops working when you go just 3-4 meters from the router. The villas are very old, some technics even have rust. The pool was rather dirty and noone from the staff intended to clean it. The housemaid service once a week is very poor for this price. The beds are disgusting - very rough, noisy and small, the pillows as well. It is obvious, that the owner does not want to invest a penny in renewing the villas - and it happens for several years as it looks. We although found out, that some of these villas are on sale - so maybe that's the answer. The BBQ was very dirty, full of fume and smoke. The location is a liitle bit noisy in the evenings because of holiday villages and karaoke-bar near-by. We have seen many villas there while our stay, which were thousand times prettier, more close to the beach, but even cheaper or equal in price. That's why I would not recommend renting these villas while they keep such prices (we payed 3150 euro for 2 weeks in August). The staff is the only good remembrance of our stay at Aura.
Everything were amazing and clean
Everything works. However, everything is cheap or poor quality. The villas need updating including the pools. TV and entertainment systems were out of date. Beds very uncomfortable. Double bed very narrow.
location, comfort, proximity to resources
The Aura Holiday Villas are very nice. They are tidy, modern and have almost all the comfort you need. A big and well equiped kitchen and one bathroom to each bedroom. However we found the beds a bit to hard. We loved the private pool and the barbecue place. The "resort" consists of eight villas in a nice and tidy area. We stayed at villa #7. If you have the possibility to choose a villa I would choose villa #1, 2 or 4 since I think they have the best sea view. All villas have sea view, at least from the balcony. However they are not as close to the nearest beach as described. I would say it is about 300-400 meters, not 50 meters as described at Booking.com. But 300-400 m is not far. It is only a few minutes easy walk. You should also not mistake it to be close to Coral Bay, since it is not. It is about 4 km to Coral Bay (a very nice beach). Far to walk but only 5 minutes drive if you have a car. To Paphos town it is about 8 km (ca 15 min drive). There are busstops close to the villas so it is also easy to take the bus to Paphos or Coral Bay. We give this place 4/5 points.
The only things that didn't make it perfect were the beds and that the surroundings outside the villa area were a bit boring. Not many restaurants and streetlife. But the advantage of that is that it is a very calm area. However you can hear some traffic or some music from a hotel nearby.
Villa wasn't meet our expectations.. We were 2 couples and wish to stay at a villa with 2 double beds. So we choose the Aura Holiday villas, in which we read at booking.com that has 2 double beds. But when we go there, we saw 1 double bed and 2 bedrooms with single beds. The manager was very impolite and wasn't helpful with this problem, even he didn't make us a discount for his mistake. I am not suggesting this villa to anyone.
The villa was more than we expected. Very clean, large pool. We had a fantastic stay.
This was a great villa to stay as a couple or friends.. Excellent accommodation. Everything you need is present. You have a lot of privacy. Close to busstop & supermarket. George and Nadia are very friendly people! You can ask them anything..
The bed is not great, but good enough.. :)
very clean and comfortable place friendly and helpful staff had a welcome pack on our arrival clean pool walking distance to the beach
+ Very nice location - not just by the sea, but still in the second row with a beautiful view, in a quiet spot + Very well equipped, two story villas with a private swimming pool, grill spot, fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, good Wifi, sun water heater with a booster (for those cloudy days) +Each villa has a parking spot (car is a must-have, as there is much to see around and the public communication is not that good)
- The only thing you have to take into account is that Cyprus is an island of cats. There are some cats around the villa, and they try to get inside. Cats are cared for, healthy and good looking, but if you are allergic to cats - well, probably you should not consider Cyprus at all :)
All at the villas is very good
could have done with a gate on the side for security with children
