Charalambos Holiday Cottage

The accommodation is excellent and in a location that is perfect for exploring the island. Every detail had been thought of and the hospitality of our hosts was second to none. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.

If you want to enjoy "the real Cyprus"as opposed to the big coastal resorts,look no further than the village of Kalavasos,about 10mins.inland and the place to stay is Charalambos holiday cottages where you will experience the most wonderful hospitality from Andreas,his wife Simoni and his father Charalambos. What fantastic people,so friendly and helpful.We had the apartment with the private balcony which was a lovely place to have breakfast and the room was great with a 4 poster bed and high quality bedding and towels. We loved our 5 nights there.We had free wine,olive oil and big bowl of oranges on arrival and quite often on our return from day out there would be a little treat awaiting us from Anna (Andreas mother ) homemade cake or preserved fruits.We have traveled to many countries but never experienced hospitality like we received here. Thank you everyone and keep up the good work !!

Being a small village parking beside the property was not possible but you could park close by so not really a problem.

We had some really wonderful days in the clean and well equipped Cottage. We were welcomed as friends. The village is very unique. The cottage has everything you need and fresh frood was provided all the time. They really earn the highest score as we have never felt this welcome anywhere else.

Andreas, his father Chalambros and their family couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We were welcomed as apart of their family. They paid attention to detail and dealt with any question seriously and promptly. We had the apartment with the balcony and loved it. It was always kept clean.

We enjoyed our staying in this place! Our room with the terrace was very nice and we felt as if we were visiting relatives. Special thanks to Charalambos and his wife Anna and daughter, they were so nice to us ;) Charalambos showed me their garden and pets and offered a breakfast with some home-made lemonade and sweets. They told that in summertime every week they have BBQ with guests - that's really great ) The village Kalavasos is quite and pretty, with very hospitable people, and there are a few taverns where you can have dinner.

It is the place where you can truly relax. Master of the house will welcome you very warmly and cordially.

Andreas and his father are so friendly and they do their best to welcome you in the nice village of Kalavasos? It is a place where you feel like at home and where you enjoy to stay. Ready to help you and give you good advices. No doubt we recommend this lovely place in Cyprus.

Wonderful and quiet place. The owner Andreas and his family are very friendly and helpful. Our stay there was very pleasant and we will stay there again in our next visit to Cyprus.

The stay at Charalambos Cottage was like being part of the family - Andreas, his wife and father are the best hosts one can think of, taking very good care of everybody and everything. There's wine, fresh fruit and olive oil from their own garden to welcome their guests. The apartments are new while being traditionally built and are very well equipped. The village square is only a few meters away, and Larnaka, Limassol and the mountains are close. We will be back!

If you want to taste a bit of Cyprus then you have to go to Charalambos Holiday Cottage. The village where it is located is beautiful, at only 10 minutes by car to the beach. Not only we liked very much the accommodation, but also we liked the people behind it. Mr. Charalambos, Andreas and his wife are wonderful people who know how to make their guests feel at home.

We stayed at the cottage for 9 nights, with our 8 month old son. The place was really wonderful, all we could ask for. Clean, quiet, friendly, cozy, beautiful and charming. Andreas, our host, made us feel like his family guests, took amazingly good care of us, helped us with all our needs, fed us with home made food from his family. My husband was looking to purchase a Baglama (greek musical instrument) and Andreas went out of his way to help him find the best music stores. I fully recommend this place to anyone wishing to have a relaxing vacation in Cyprus and will definitely be back.

Studios are newly refurbished with style. They are fully equipped and spotless. Even if they are located in the center of a small village, the area is very quiet. You're welcome like at home. The quality/price ratio is excellent.

Andreas Charalambos and his family are the best ! - We have never enjoyed such a hospitality. Andreas is friendly and worm, always with a smile. The room is lovely, the pool is wonderful, the location is great - just about 20 minutes from Larnaka Airport, Limassol, Nicosia and the Trodos Mountains. A holiday at the Charalambos Holiday Cottage is a perfect bet - I know that it sounds like a commercial but it is true

It's the best place to stay in Calavasos. Very friendly, comfortable and clean. We've got charming room with the private terrace and great view of the mountains. Andreas and his wife were very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely advise this hotel for those who want to feel quiet atmosphere of Cyprus mountain villages and to be not far from beach (Governorbeach is 10 min drive). We would love to be back some day!

Andreas, Simoni, Charalambos with family are the most friendly people we have met. The Cottage is renoveated to it's original with very good style. Every apartment is individually decorated. We use the kitchen every day, and it's working very good. There is a garden with a pool and sunbeds, also flowers and herbs that smells wonderfull at the evening. The village Kalavasos is small and genuin, the people are very friendly and you can tell that they are proud over it! We would come back again!

The owners were some the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. It felt like staying with friends. The apartment was clean and well- appointed and air con in the middle of summer is a life saver. The pool is on the small side but nice for a dip. Very nice getting a welcome pack with fruits, drinks and wine (not to mention home grown grapes). The location is a handy 30-40 minutes from Limassol, Nicossia and Larnaca, Governor's beach 10 minutes drive away is a lovely place for a swim. Overall this is a fantastically good value place to stay.

You have to be ok about parking in tight spaces to get a spot nearby.

I really liked the traditional feeling of the village and of the cottage. The rooms were fully equiped, traditional decorated, very clean, the towels changed every day, the pool was nice. Charalambos family is very friendly, we felt very welcome.

Andreas is the perfect host and made us feel extremely welcome. He really does take good care of you as a guest throughout your stay and you are made to feel at home from arrival. The building has recently been restored to a high standard, it is clean and comfortable. Each of the 4 apartments have a traditional Cypriot charm with the use of modern facilities. The location is great base as Limassol is 20 mins away, Larnaca 30 mins and Nicosia 40 mins. The village itself is very picturesque. The fish restaurants in Zygi are just down the road and should be visited! Overall, fantastic value for money, a perfect place to relax, we will definitely back!!!

Nothing at all, my only regret is that we could have stayed longer! My only suggestion would be to have mattresses on the rattan sun beds as they can be a little uncomfortable especially when hot, however this is only a 'nice to have' and by no means a deal breaker.

This is a beautiful home that has been reworked from the ground up, all the facilities work perfectly and the outdoor garden is very inviting, especially in the evenings. You will note a myriad of personal, small touches that have been added by the family of the owner. Beyond the building itself, the management will make you feel at home from day one. I only regret we did not get to stay long enough in order to enjoy at least one evening with them. We will definetely be returning at the next opportune moment, if of course rooms are available. Truly a class above anything similar in the area.

The apartment was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The facilities were good - including the pool. The welcome we received from Andreas and his family was excellent - we felt that we were valued as individual guests. The location is also very good in terms of its access to different parts of the island and to visit the wonderful archaelogical sites. The tavernas in the village are very friendly - with authentic food and amazing local wine. The price is also very reasonable. We ended up eating out most of the time!
