Columbia Beach Resort  

Loved the warm welcome at check in with a welcome drink :). The location is magical and the facilities are of the best standard. Beautiful honeymoon escape.

The pool area was a very pleasant relaxing area. Also the room facilities were very good.

The rooms could be modernised slightly. In particular the television and selection of channels.

The hotel was great...a nice place for a quiet get-away with peace and quiet. Even though the Hotel was fully booked it felt as if we were the only ones there! :) We wish we had stayed a little longer...at least 3-4 days to enjoy the comfortness/luxury of the hotel.

Very disappointing that such a gorgeous hotel still has old tv'S...even in the suite we stayed in! Furthermore, none of the channels were clear to watch - they were all with alot of 'noise'. The executive suite we stayed in was lovely but reminded me more of a summer room...it was a little cold - a nice rug in the middle of the room would have made all the difference...toilet had a little problem and you had to fidget around with it to get the water to stop after flushing...

The room was fantastic - disappointed that the Italian restaurant was closed for the winter. Had a good meal in Apollo restaurant though and the breakfast was great.

First rate for comfort and service, very fine large bedroom and excellent spa (steam room and sauna as well as treatments). Full range breakfast. Very good value in winter. Apollo Restaurant very good.

The room facilitites and decoration was splendind. The hotel offered a unique getaway on the New Year's eve with special galla dinner arrangements and fireworks! The experience was absolutely amazing and I deffinately recommend it!

The Italian restaurant starters were the worst i ever tasted.

Location and relaxation. Nikki on reception was exceptionally friendly, professional and welcoming. We loved the cocktail bar and only ate at the Apollo. We felt that the Apollo was expensive for a bistro setting but the food was very good. On our next stay wil we eat at the Bachus restaurant. All staff were friendly and we particularly enjoyed the fact that you had so many Cypriot staff. We stayed in November so the hotel felt quite quiet but not sure we would have enjoyed a stay in busy summer time.

The spa was very expensive so we decided not to use it on this stay.

The resort is located in a beautiful bay. Rooms are fantastic and staff very helpful. Love the cat care program!

Wasn't good value for money. The choice of eateries was poor and the room did not have a dvd as advertised and when we pointed this out nothing was done about it.

We have stayed at the Columbia Beach Resort for six years in a row Sometimes twice a year , we find it really relaxing and able to switch off From the minite we arrive .

We had a quiet and relaxing stay. The Staff were polite and helpful as one would expect from a 5 star hotel. Everything was very well maintained and look great. The room was enormous and very comfortable. The pool was also superb.

Whilst the restaurants were very good, the choice was a little limited, but this is probably due to the good local choice around the hotel. It did not detract from our stay in any way. There was free wireless internet throughout the hotel, but it did not reach the far end of the room so we were not able to sit on the sofa or the balcony and access the internet.

Good sized hotel, not too big with beautiful gardens. Big room and bathroom. Confortable bed. Nespresso coffee machine in the room, but you have to pay for the capsules. Excellent breakfast. Large pool. Excellent fitness room. Very good restaurants in the village (5 km away) and along the beach.

The beach is very narrow and pebbly. Not ideal for small children. Wi-Fi didn't work in our room in the beginning. After our complaint, it took 3 days to make it work. Internet connection rather slow. The kitchenette is not very useful, because there are no tableware or pans.

The rooms are great the bacchus retaurant is amazing but very expencive

No kids club. The spa is nice but I had the worst 60 (!!!) euros pedicure ever. The spa dose not worth the money (unfortunatly)

There are two poor things about this hotel. 1.If you take side sea view suite, what you actually get is pool view room and you can only imagine that the sea is somewhere nearby, sometimes its really noisy. So I would recommend to take garden view. 2.Despite there is an electric hot-plate in the room, it does not work due to security reasons.

Very relaxing and a world away from 'real time'. Just what was needed. The amenities were very good and the staff was excellent. We liked that there were lots of cats around which were obviously very well looked after. It was only after we came home that we learned the hotel is more or less a cat sanctuary.

We would have liked the hotel to provide more sunbeds. After all, relaxing on the beach, in the garden, around the pool is what most of the hotel guests do on holiday. We paid premium price to stay at the Columbia Resort and Spa (a 5 star hotel), yet the guests of the sister hotel next door, the Columbia hotel (a 4 star hotel) used our beach beds which left us with nothing. I think the staff at the 5 star should be more protective of their guests.

Friedly staff, cleaniness, well kept gardens and grounds, cat-loving staff, homely, serenity, breakfast, dinner buffet, free internet & wifi, ability to bring in the room food items purchased individually from outside shops

Pool bar snacks outrageously priced

We were on a very short honeymoon and picked Cyprus for ease. Columbia Beach Resort was perfect, if you're looking for a quiet, luxurious hideaway this is the spot. It's a stunning layout and the staff are lovely, breakfast every morning was a delight. Thank you for a lovely stay!

There was no music playing anywhere really, although the general clientele seemed to be older it would have been nice if some kind of chillout/lounge music played around the pool - or at least the pool bar. Although the food was good we were a little disappointed that there wasn't more local cuisine available on the menu.

Panorama Suite, seclusion, picturesque location of the hotel, friendly personnel...

Inattentive order processing, particularly, E.G.: I ordered a spa service 3 days before the desired date, but there wasn't any information whether reservation was made or not....

Staff was very well trained and friendly. Very professional. Service was the best I 've seen. I would for sure re consider this beautiful hotel next time again.

Spacious, very comfortable, extensive gardens and pool areas, gardens very well tended, materials used in constructing the resort all very high quality, good range of eating places, Bacchus is outstanding, beautiful pool, and the staff are to a man/woman helpful, smiling. Loved it

Pool was coolish but will probably warm up as the season progresses.
