Elyssia Hotel  

The family who run the hotel are tremendously hospitable and welcoming. The food was excellent and the view from the room was fantastic.

I found the attention to the use of the mountain view was an example to the area. This inventive renovation and redevelopment of a previous poorly run and run down facility is customer focused. With such cosy unexposed balconies to the rooms and a large dining make best use of the views. Great value and a credit to pedhoulas

We were impressed by the hospitality of the owner who welcomed us with homemade limonade. The view we had from our room was fantastic. Make sure you're hungry when you decide to have lunch or diner, the lady of the house cookes with all her hart and the portions are enormous. Don't stay here when you're on a diet.

The family who own and run the hotel, particularly Mrs Katerina couldn't do any more for us. She even cleaned our car on the morning we were leaving as there had been a dusty storm during the night. The village, high in the hills is picturesque and a convenient centre for exploring the mountains of Troodos and Cedar valley. There are numerous tavernas but Mrs katerina cooked us a wonderful "Kleftico" meal with soup,salad, vegetables and a dessert, all homemade and very tasty! We had a room on the top floor with a jakuzzi bath and there were gallons of piping hot water to fill it! The hotel rooms are of traditional design, featuring balconies and windows with fantastic views wherever you look. We will certainly return for another visit, perhaps during the fresh cherry season.

This hotel offers true Cypriot hospitality (I am Cypriot) which is very rare to experience these days. It is a family-run hotel in Pedhoulas, a picturesque village in the Troodos mountains. The owners (couple), Mrs Katerina and Mr Louis, are extremely friendly and kind, and are always willing to do their best in order to make you feel like home. The hotel is very clean and at the time we visited very quiet during the night. Visitors should try the home-made Cypriot sweets that Mrs Katerina cooks, as well as try the cherry brandy. It is a must-stay hotel in the Troodos area. Highly recommended!

It is a perfect hotel in one of the little mountain villages of the Troodos area. It is run by a very hospital family. They will do their utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible and serve lovely home made food. The room was clean and warm (it was cold, since we went there to ski in Troodos mountains) and had a beautiful view over the mountains and the village.

hard to find such other place in whole trodos, very friendly staff, warm atmosphere. will get back here definitely.

very narrow enter to underground parking, but i guess there is nothing can be done about it.

good value for money, very clean, nice dinner buffet with home-cooked recipees for a very good price. friendly staff. would strongly recommend it to anyone on a bugdet. very cozy feel to it, the family that owns and runs the place also makes traditional desserts out of fruit and we got to taste a few. Will be revisiting it FOR SURE

the common room can be a bit cold, but the weather was exceptionally bad when we were there so perhaps that was the reason. there was a fire-place at one end of the common room but the sofas were not laid out in a circular way to create more fire-place seats. Breakfast could have been just a bit richer, so as to cover all personal tastes (e.g. variaty of cereal and some hot bacon)

Good value for the money! There are nice/ comfortable rooms. Beautiful view from the window. Central heating. Very nice service.

Pillows wasn't soft, but my husband liked it.

the place to be if you wish to feel the absolute Cyprus hospitality. Mrs Kaiti was like a mum running after us to make sure that the room was clean, the food was good our glasses were full etc! the portions are extra extra large, full of local products and the wine next to fire place just perfect. we would definitely be back!

Hotel was very clean the room was also very clean with lovely views of the mountains hotel ownes were very friendly and obliging nothing was to much trouble would recommend others to stay there marks out of ten would be ten will be going there again

Great welcome from owners. Comfortable, spacious room with a balcony and view. Log fire, great value home cooked meal (starter, effectively 3 main course dishes, dessert), much more than we could eat, for €12 each. Log fire and attentive, friendly service, even though only 2 rooms were occupied on both nights of our stay. Would be very different in the summer, when they obviously cater for big local events. Looks like the best option in the village by far. Highly recommended!

Katerina and Loizos were warm, friendly and attentive hosts. I almost felt that I was part of their extended family, I was made so welcome. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. My room was very comfortable and clean. I was very sorry to leave after 5 first class nights.

Never felt so welcome in a Hotel, as part of the owners Family. An absolut Must for every cyprus Visite.

The lovely family who runs the place were awsome! nice, kind, warn and inviting. we've asked for a romantic stay and we got a great room with a HotTub, and great view of the peacful villege. We chose the hotel due to the great financial offer, and we'd recommend it to others for the great value for money and the warm feeling. The Buffet dinner (Katherina's home made) was excellent!

The breakfest wasn't varied enough. We excpected a greek breakfest and more to choose.

Most especially the owner Katrianna, she could not do enough for us - her evening meals and breakfasts were supberb, the room she gave us was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning and had the most amazing view of the mountains. Each evening she had prepared a plate of truly authentic Cypriat cooking for only 12 euros!. We even bought some of their home made fruit reserves that were a local delicacy. Photos not developed but will send later if you request again.

first time I have done a review and said absolutely nothing - the hotel is rustic, rural and reminds you of times gone by - a much more personal sevice than a big chain hotel were you can feel anonymous.

Stayed at the Elyssia Hotel for 1 Night as it was our Wedding anniversary, and must what a lovely family run it. Katerina and her son could not do enough for us from the moment we arrived. The Hotel is bright and spacious, with a very warm feel. Rooms have Fab viems with a lift to all areas. We had the Food option which was lovely freshly cooked meats, salad, dips Etc. Breakfast is typical of Cyprus which we love, as was the home made Jams , which are for sale along with many other treats. Could not fault anything at all!! This is the reason why the Elyssia hotel gets such top Reviews....Enjoy

Simple but comfortable village inn, great location right in the centre of Pedoulas. Rooms are small and quite basic, but have nice small balconies with views over the mountains. What makes your stay truly enjoyable are the excellent people who own it, I rarely felt so welcome, more like a friendof the family than a paying guest. Good home- cooked food also helps :-). Cypriot hospitality at its best.

The only thing was noise at night in cafes downstairs- but I guess it is nothing to do with the hotel. And lack of shower screen in the bathroom, the floor gets very wet after you take shower.

The nature in the area is remarkably. The people in the hotel are very friendly and helpful! The food is fantastic! We hope to be able to go back.
