Golden Bay Beach Hotel  

La "suite" reservee pour 4 personne specifiant 1 lit double et 2 lits simples laissait entendre 2 chambres, au vu des photos du site. En fait c'est un lit double et 2 lits d'appoint. A 250 euros la nuit sur booking ca fait cher. En consequence nous nous sommes rabbatus sur 2 chambres communicantes. L'hotel est cote a cote avec un 4 etoile. L'espace entre les 2 hotels contenant les piscines et les jardins des 2 hotels. Resultat, lors des activités musicales a l'exterieur, les 2 hotels montent progressivement le son de leurs sono et on termine avec une cacophonie assourdissante... Et comme les chambres sont mal insonorisées...

The hotel is about a 15 min drive from the airport and is about 15 mins away from downtown Larnaca. It is right on the beach along with 2 other hotels and has the usual swmmming pool / bar and restaurants. The cab ride cost 30 euros but there is a bus (runs every 30 mins) that takes you to downtown Larnaca for just 1 euro. There are a couple of good restuarants across the road from the hotel (I would recommend the Japanese one - Sakura - they even offer free internet) and there is a bank and convenience stores and car rentals. I was in Cyprus during the off-season so getting anywhere was a breeze. The rooms are rather plain and breakfast is nothing special - however I was upgraded to a suite with a nice view of the ocean. The beach itself is small and somewhat dirty (not the fault of the hotel - just the stuff that gets washed up by the sea).

The hotel should include the internet in the price of the room - the rooms themselves need to be upgraded with better furniture and the number of channels needs to be increased from the current 12 channels that are offered.

It is not a five star hotel - more like a four star, but decent. Good value for money.

Right on the beach, 15 min from the airport, 15 min from the center of the city

I would rate the hotel not higher then 4 star...

Clean and nice location , not far from the city .

No free Wii fi in the hotel , only you have to pay to get the wi fi in your room. Even when paying , you can onlt access interent using one device ( I.e if you connect from your iphone you can not connect from your laptop )

The room was realy good, but the other facilities? hum????

We shall never go back! The breakfast was so poor,we had a dinner-never do it! The quality of the food- in a five star hotel's restaurant-was similar as a fastfood restaurant! Basicly this hotel is a correct 3.5 stars accomodation.
