Louis Imperial Beach  

The position was good, near a bus stop and near the beach,thoughit was too cold to swim in the sea, but it had a very good indoor pool.

Food and staff excellent.

Hard beds

The best thing about this hotel is its staff - very client oriented, friendly. The food was good: both breakfasts and dinners offered a variety of specialties and ordinary home-like meals. The location of the hotel is probably among the best in Paphos: the streets are at some distance and the sea is within one-minute reach (on foot). The hotel and its surroundings is very quiet - no loud music or bike racing. I would recommend this hotel to those who do not care about the space design and slow toilet water replenishment.

Major renovation of the hotel, including the building, toilet fixtures, furniture, TV sets, etc. is a must. I would also recommend the management to inject more liveliness and color in the design of the comman areas. Besdies, in some rooms (right wing viewed from the main entrance) one can feel vibration and noise of the kitchen fridge and ventilation chute: I finally settled in the the third offered room in the left wing. An electric adapter for european plugs lent by the hotel would also be a plus.

Value for money, staff friendy and efficient, excellent facilities. Have stayed in hotel on previous occasions, have booked family to stay and we would certainly stay in the fututre.

Hotel vykazuje zjavné známky opotrebovanosti. Posilovna je v dezolatnom stave, v podstate nepoužiteľná. Proklamovaná hotelová pozicovna bicyklov neexistuje. Kluc od bezpecnostneho trezora na izbe vam prenajmu za 10Euro na den..toto je uuuplne fopa. Hotel pri získavaní zákazníkov NEHRÁ FÉR, v podstate svojou reklamou zavádza. Aj napriek uvedeným pozitívam ho uz nenavštívim, ani náhodou. Na viac, upratovanie ma dost ubohu uroven, vo vani a bidete som mal chlpy a kde co ine, v rohoch nevytreta spina. Fuj

All of the staff we encountered were pleasant. It was my husband's birthday when we arrived and the front desk staff arranged the delivery of a small bottle of wine and plate of fruit to our room for the occasion. The gift shop had a nice collection of souvenirs and other things on offer at reasonable prices. For the most part, the buffet meals were fairly good and there was a decent variety of dishes/themes from day to day (breakfast being somewhat the exception). The entrance and lobby are nice, open and airy. The pool and pool-side area are decent. The location of the hotel is good and not far from the shopping and tourist attractions.

Overall, the hotel portrayed in the on-line description is much better than the actual hotel. Some examples: the "sandy beach" can hardly be classified as such - it is mostly rocky with a bit of sand; the rooms and furnishings are run down (stained carpets, worn out upholstery) and not very comfortable; our "sea view" room (which cost extra) had mostly views of the back alley, neighbouring hotel and tennis court, with only small glimpses of the sea through the trees beyond the tennis court. Most everything about this hotel is simply old and outdated, right down to the strange, old rocker switch panel in the bedside table (to turn on/off the lights and old fashioned TV) and the old fashioned room key. Other things we did not appreciate: the remote for the TV worked only intermittently, even after replacing the batteries; there is no Wi-Fi in the hotel - only a few old computers in the lobby costing 1 euro for 10 minutes (which didn't exactly provide 10 minutes of browsing since it was very slow and constantly disconnecting, while the timer continued to count down); the scrambled eggs at breakfast were watery and tasteless (probably made from dehydrated egg powder and water); the pool-side bar is a rip-off. The parking area is shrouded with trees full of birds releasing a torrent of droppings on the vehicles (disgusting!). The bottom line is that this hotel needs some major updates to reflect its own description and to deserve its 4-star rating. After having spent 5 fantastic nights at the Sunrise Beach Hotel in Protaras (also 4-star rated) just prior to continuing our tour west and staying at Louis Imperial Beach, we felt like our accommodations had been seriously down-graded. At most we would rate this hotel as a 3-star.

The attention of the staff to some minor problems which occured was very good. The service in general was excellent. The hotel mangement provided very good programs to entertain their guests. The food and daily change of theme buffet was very good. The rooms are quite nice and spacious.

The internet facilities are poor and not working at times, should not be available to allow people to play games on the computer. The design of the restaurant is a bit cool.
