St Nicolas Residence

Mooi en verzorgd complex.

In tegenstelling met de aanbieding was er geen "free internet" beschikbaar wel tegen betaling. Een routebeschrijving zou zeker nuttig zijn want het complex is niet eenvoudig te vinden. Als je het voortdurend geruis van kunstmatige watervallen aan de zwembaden rustgevend vindt dan is het geen probleem. Voor ons was het eerder storend. Gelukkig werden de watervallen 's avonds gestopt.

Very good location in a peaceful neighborhood and not far away from the main attractions and beaches. The apartment was newly build and spacious with fully equipped kitchen and large terrace. At the resort there are many swimming pools that are cleaned every day.

There should be sunshades on the windows because when the sun faces the window the curtains are not providing adequate shading for the apartment. Also some more signs in the road and adequate instructions for the visitors to locate the resort.

I loved the silence and all the hotel's facilities, especially the pool and the kitchen. I felt like I've been in heaven !

the timer switch at the aircondition... it was unexpectable. It should be changed!!!!!!!!! Who has aircondition working for 15 min intervals????? during night?

Value for money

They asked me to pay 5.5% more for paying with credit card which was nowhere written in terms & conditions while booking. You cannot pay with cash so at the end you have to pay this 5.5% extra. So keep in mind before you book here. They also don't give any receipt. When i asked for a receipt they told me that this is their policy. This is ridiculous.

Far away from touristic areas: 1 hr walking from the residence to the marina and restaurants; distance issue could be solved only using a car …

Excellent for families, lots of facilities in the apartment,it even had an iron/ironing board and washing machine,very modern,huge veranda with lovely furniture, the pools are lovely,especially the ones for the kids, there is a playground and a tennis court. There is a little supermarket store on site but I would recommend to do all your shoping from Orphanides Express which is only 5 minutes from the hotel and excellent value for money and Pizza Hut is also round the corner.

As we were making are own way to the apartments the map provided on the website was not helpful at all, took us ages to find the place,only one small sign on the road indicating where the apartments are which only shows an arrow going straight, should be another one a few meters down the road showing left. The floor was not very cleaned, it seemed that the apartment had been cleaned a while ago, very dirty under the beds. The mop was probably used since last year. Evertyhing else was perfect. Not sure what it would be like once all the apartments are full at the same time, probably too crowdy and loud!

Fantastic complex with very confortable appartments. Staff very friendly and helpful. Appartments fitted out with all you need for a very comfortable stay.

Would have been nice if indoor pool was heated.

We stayed in a two-bedroom town house at St Nicolas around mid-March. The 3-floor-apartment was spacious, very nicely furnished, had a modern and very well equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms + one toilet and lovely patio/balcony in each floor. We had a open view to the sea (which was far away though). The 2 bedrooms accommodate 2 people each, the fifth person has to sleep on the sofa bed of the living room. The residence is well maintained and beautiful with the pools. In March the water was still quite cold but the indoor pool + sauna were ok. Having a car is highly recommended, during our holiday week we managed to explore Paphos and many other places in Western Cyprus.

The residence was almost too quiet and empty which bothered mostly our teenagers. There was a lot of road construction work in the neighbourhood. We almost run out of toilet paper and soap, the maintainance staff promised to bring more but that never happened which was a bit awkward. We had problems with getting hot water - the system is totally different from what we have used to - but as soon as we complained about it, the repairmen fixed the system.

Apartment was very spacious,comfortable. I stayed in one bed apt 302. Kitchen was very well equipt. There is fruits market just outside of the estate and near by 24h kiosk. In the complex there is a small shop which provides all necessities open from 9 to 9. The is also restaurant which serves great food in reasonable prices - evening special 3 course meal 11 euro. Internet was working with no problems. Also great deal with car rental company - Nissa Micra 10 euro per day (winter price). There is small gym on the complex and small indoor pool. Managers of the complex were very helpfull

Internet was advertised as being free of charge, however there was a charge of €20 for a week and €25 for a month. If you would like to go to the beach or to tourist are in Paphos you will need a car but as I said its cheap and you do not need the car for whole stay.

I chose this hotel as I know the location. It is very well located if you want access to Paphos, the beaches, the tourist district, west to Coral Bay or North to the hills and country side. This is an award winning complex and considering that, it is very good value. If you are visiting, not just to stay at the hotel, with a car it is a great base to both enjoy touring beautiful historic Cyprus or just relaxing around the grounds.

Internet access was slow. There is still some road construction adjacent, nearing completion, this is common as Cyprus and tourism is growing.

We went out of season in October and it was very quiet which was great, and excellent value for money.

1.) It was advertised as having 'wireless internet throughout the hotel free of charge', but when we got there we were informed that this was not the case and we would have to pay for it. 2.) The Residence was impossible to find as it was not on a main road and had no sign-posts at all on the approach to it. We took 3 hrs to drive from the airport instead of 45mins as we couldn't find it.
