Vasilopoulos House

Tochni is very beautiful! Our host, Andre, was very warm and friendly. The house is lovely and we couldn't ask for more. We came during the Easter Orthodox and witnessed traditional celebrations. It was a very memorable trip and we highly recommend Vasilopoulos and Tochni Village.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Old traditional appartment in the middle of the village. Very budget friendly. Easy acess to amenities and kitchen fully equiped.

Roof very creaky and bed not comfortable at all.

Beautiful view of the village from an authentic restored stone house. Convenient access, and very hosptible welcome by Athena and her uncle who runs the local shop. All convenient and friendly.

As usual , our Cypriot hosts make every effort to make our stay a happy one. They provide a lot of facilities for the price - we borrowed a couple of sun umbrellas, ate many of the owner's figs, got to meet the owners and talk with them and the kitchen, although very small was very well and very thoughtfully equiped. We noticed they also had things like pushchairs and other child things available and were highly involved in organising local music events. This is the first time we have used this accomodation since coming to Tochni village for the past 20 yeras and we were very happy with everything.

The heating system threw a wobbly during one night but the owner even appeared minutes afterwards with a torch and sorted out the problem - what more can you ask ?

Le village de Tochni est magnifique. C'est un ancien village sur deux collines avec des maisons en pierre traditionnelles. La maison Vasilopoulos a une superbe vue sur le village, c'est très agréable. Cela vaut le détour. Nous y sommes repassés, tellement cela nous a plu.

Il ne faut pas prendre le petit déjeuner au snack qui est à côté de l'église, ils le proposent mais sont pas vraiment au point là dessus. La maison Vasilopoulos ne propose pas de petit déjeuner, il faut juste le mentionner. Autrement c'est très très bien.

E' un luogo magico,dove puoi dimenticare la vita frenetica di ogni giorno,tipica di in una metropoli come Milano, per poterti godere la tranquillità di un paesaggio tra collina e montagna sotto un bellissimo porticato con una vite che lo ricopre tutto(e dal quale quando vuoi puoi prendere dei bellissimi grappoli di uva gustosissima!!!). Tutti sono molto cordiali e molto disponibili....l'appartamento bellissimo e molto pulito!!!!!

Fantastic traditional house! Lovely terrace with great sight on the town. Si tratta di una "Traditional house" cipriota. Ambiente bellissimo, molto accogliente, in una struttura del 1300 ristrutturata con gusto; 7 mini-appartamenti con cucinotto; corte interna stupenda a disposizione degli ospiti con tavoli e sedute per mangiare sotto un pergolato con una vite centenaria che produce un'ottima uva, da staccare e gustare. Terrazza con vista meravigliosa sul piccolo paese.

Nothing of negative.. We had a pleasent stay Non abbiamo riscontrato cose negative. L'equipaggiamento della cucina (pentole, tegami, ecc..) era minimale, ma la cosa non ci ha creato problemi. Nella nostra stanza non funzionava l'aria condizionata (anche se ci è stato fornito subito un ventilatore), ma, nonostante fosse pieno agosto, la sera si dormiva bene comunque e probabilmente non l'avremmo azionata. In ogni caso il proprietario è disponibilissimo per qualsiasi richiesta gli facciate.

Es war toll in einem traditionellen zypriotischen Steinhaus zu wohnen wo wir neben dem Zimmer noch eine kleine Küche und eine fantastische Dachterasse hatten. Der Innenhof mit Weinstock und Zitronenbaum war einfach toll. Der Ort ist sehr nett, es gibt eine kleine Taverne und einen Laden im Ort und eine weitere Taverne am Ortsrand. Als Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten nach Nikosia, ins Gebirge und Richtung Osten ideal, und auch um an die Südküste zum Baden zu fahren. Zum Flughafen Larnaka ist es nur eine halbe Stunde Fahrt mit dem Auto. Fazit: Ideal für Individualreisende die gerne fern ab vom großen Touritrubel sein mögen.

La casa esta ubicada en pleno centro del pueblo, la tranquilidad y el silencio son una constante, y la casa ofrece una pequeña cocina dotada de nevera, hervidor de agua, tostadora, etc. En definitiva, una estancia rural relajante :)

La cama no es especialmente cómoda.

Cadre très agréable dans un petit village et avec une grande terrasse sous les vignes. Très bien situé, à quelques minutes en voiture des plages.

Good for a relaxing village experience away from everything. There are lots of tourist accomodation in the area to choose from. It's a touristical village so you will find some facilities that stay open till around 1am in the morning. If you're lucky, you might even be able to enjoy some traditional cypriot and Greek music at a cafe in the village. If you come in the right season, you might also enjoy good figs that the owner picked up from the tree in the morning.

I wouldn't say the room was not clean but I think it lacks the freshness and the cleanliness of any other accomodation we have stayed at in our holiday in Cyprus. (Room was slightly less expensive than others though). But I would still recommend the hotel as a cheap and interesting stay, but only for a short stay).

The village and the house are lovely, and have the perfect balance between having a local identity and not being too touristy and being equipped for tourists. The village has a pool, a shop, and a few locally run restaurants. The people there were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay in Tochni and would like to go back

there were some building works just outside the house, and the rooms and bathroom were just a little on the small side. The terrace is lovely though

Pas d'accès Internet, pas de wi-fi.

Un charmant établissement traditionnel, situé sur les hauteurs du joli village de Tochni. Joli chambre et veranda commune avec une très belle vue sur le village. Propriétaires très sympas et accueillants. Brochures et cartes disponibles à l'hôtel.

Le village de Tochni est loin des seules belles plages du coin Agia Napa-Protaras.(la côte entre Limassol-Zygi est très industrielle et occupée par les grands hôtels) Pas de ménage dans la chambre pendant 4 jours...

Ursprüngliches Zypern in einem gemütlichen Dorf in den Bergen abseits der Touristenpfade. So stellten wir uns den Aufenthalt vor. Genau das haben wir bekommen. Ein traumhafter Ausblick auf die andere Dorfseite mit viel Anschluß im örtlichen Cafe und der Taverne. Sehr authentisch. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Appartamenti piccoli ma funzionali, ambiente semplice ma tradizionale e curato negli ambienti esterni. Bella vista sul paesino di Tochni, dotato di comodo parcheggio e aria condizionata. Apprezzato da chi cerca tipicità locale e vuole utilizzarlo come base d'appoggio. Il proprietario porta periodicamente frutti del suo orto quali fichi e uva per i suoi ospiti.

Tochni è comodo per vistitare Limassol e Larnaka ma vicino al paese non ci sono spiagge o luoghi di particolare interesse. Non c'è una reception, il proprietario non è presente in loco ma può essere facilmente contattato chiedendo in paese (chiedere al supermercato).

Die Unterkunft ist inmitten des historischen Dorfes Tochni gelegen und so bekommt man wohl den besten Eindruck vom Leben in Zypern abseits der typischen Urlauberunterkünfte am Meer. Vom Innenhof der Anlage hat man einen sehr schönen Blick über Tochni. Alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Der kleine Supermarkt bietet alles, was man braucht. Im Ort sind zudem genügend interessante Restaurants bzw. Taverne vorhanden. Das Auto kann man in Nähe der Unterkunft bequem abstellen, von dort ist es eine Minute zu Fuß.
