Close to the very center of Prague, just a 5 minute walk from Wenceslas Square, the hotel is a good base for exploring this beautiful, historic city.
Score from 387 reviews Very good
we liked the location and the choices for breakfast were great for us. The room was clean and quite quiet. We were apprehensive about the space because of a review but found it was enough for us.
The room was too hot at night for me, I would have appreciated a sheet and quilt for choice, but not usual in hotels these days!
Decent walking distance to the main attractions and metro station
Poor bed Poor sound insulation Shower in bathtub with shower curtain Beds not done neatly
Great location, execelent value for the money
Minimal breakfast, very bad WiFi.
The localization is great; rooms are quite big and comfortable; breakfasts offered very wide choice.
The bed was combined of two, which meant a break between the mattresses - not quite comfortable; you could hear every noise or conversation from the corridor (why not put a carpet there?); the breakfast lounge staff was obviously unhappy when we stayed a few minutes over the breakfast end time (10.00 am - a bit shortish); the bathroom had a bath with a courtain - it would be healthier to offer a glass or plastic panels; Wi-fi was unstable.
Can't beat the location--short walk from Pavlova stop on the red line--two stops from the main train station. Got a very friendly greeting, a city map, recommendations on what to see, and a great restaurant recommendation (Pivovarsky Dum is just down the street). Room was clean. Coffee service provided. Breakfast (0700-1000) was a great selection of food with healthy options. The automatic coffee machine was wonderful. WiFi was great and they had servers for each floor so you got a good signal strength.
Some things didn't work. Shower head wouldn't stay in its holder so was forced to hold it. While there was a fridge in the room, it didn't cool.
Convenient location and quiet. Secure on site parking was excellent! Clean, a good breakfast and a friendly, helpful staff.
Wifi was sporadic. Although not a big issue the towels had seen better days. Could have been softer.
No available wifi. Staff was very keen to help but we got the wrong direction from them.
Neat and clean rooms and within budget
great breakfast city centre connection by tram cca 10 min. multi language personal (DE, EN, CZ/SK, HU,...) free parking
Wish to have hot water cattle and ironing board in room.
Excelent superior rooms. Excelent value for the money.
Smoking allowed in the lobby
Room was very good and clean.
Wifi did not work at all. Very poor reception. Needs further upgrade on wifi service.
location confort view at 8 floor
We stayed in Ankoa for 6 days. the Hotel is close to Metro station I.P Pavlova and near a nice restaurant named Pizza and Pasta House. The hotel offers great location (you can walk to Karl's bridge via streets of Prague and explore the city) The hotel staff was very very informative and with perfect behavior. the hotel was quite and very clean If I will go back to Prague, it will be the location that I will choose without no doubt.
The WIFI works really bad.
Good personnel. Parking in own garage, pet-friendly. It was ok to leave the car in the hotel after check-in.
Cold floor in the room, no carpets. Light from outside came into the room through the poor shading all night.
I got upgraded to the delux room with bath and even a micro oven. It was great to stay in the delux room.
What a Czech women! Female staffs: no smile, unconcerned answer and independence to the guests. And the location is also in the new town of the Prague so you should take metro everyday.
Hotel Orion is just outside the city center, in a nice quiet location with a few really great pubs nearby. Would stay here again in a second. Great space with everything you need. Staff were wonderful and very helpful
1) The breakfast was good, so many choices. 2) The bed was very big and comfort. 3) The location is good, very near to metro. 4) The parking is secure.
1) No wifi in the room ( need to be improved urgently). 2) We booked deluxe double room for 2 nights. The first night we used all the shower gel with jacuzzi and we expected the second day the cleaner will fill it in but nothing!!. I went to the reception in the evening and asked for the shower gel , he said we did not have it here and the cleaner went back home. he gave me the shampoo instead!! 3) we could hear the conversation and laughing from the neighbor. also someone turned on the TV at 3 am. We could hear it. 4) I do not think the staff are friendly compare to other hotels we had been.
extra cost for fresh orange juice
Our room plenty big and had good facilities.
communication with front desk. To "programmed like" with their communication with us. Notpersonable at all.
Location directly in the city center Balcony view Garage to park car Dogs Allowed Friendly Staff
The place smelled like indian food everywhere Very basic rooms but good
Hotel location, close to Prague 1 district, but there are plenty of hotels in Prague, sharing the same advantage
The huge discount mentioned in booking.com surprised me a lot because such a poor and standard amenities hotel doesn't worth the official indicated price list! Cheap breakfast and not really friendly staff!
staff excellent speak in english hotel near old town very good and big room
poor breakfast slow Wi-Fi
I loved that there was private jacuzzi in the room (I booked deluxe room). It was amazing. I stayed in 5* and 4* hotels in Prague before, but this hotel can cope with some 5* hotels. Breakfast were great, room was huge with nice street view. Location couldn't be better, it's within walking distance to old town and there is metro stop literally next to the hotel. Staff were okay, I didn't have much interaction with them, but check-in and check-out was easy.
Although there were coffee/tea making facilities in the room, only tea and sugar was provided which is strange. I had to buy my own coffee. You could also hear everything from the hall. It was okay at the time I stayed in and room was very quiet, because there wasn't too many guests, but I can imagine if the hotel gets overcrowded, it can be noisy.
