The best thing was the room itself. In fact it was not a room, but a huge apartment, with two very large rooms, and a large balcony. I do not know how it the other rooms are the same size, but ours (301 A) was really huge. Both the living room and the bedroom had a TV. The living room also had a small electric stove and a kitchen sink. Location is good, in the Malostranska area, 15 minutes from the metro station- more if you walk slower. walking from Malostranska you go uphill, but you can take the tram and the go down to the hotel.

Location, personel and price are the main reasons we chose Appia, and we weren´t dissapointed! Great hotel for fair price, super confortable even though in a historical building, good breakfast in a very charming place. Personnel extremely helpful and competent. Would certainly recomend. Super good restaurant 1 block from hotel with local tasty food, fair prices and very nice owners: Krema u sedmi Svábu> Jánský vrsek 14. Near the Astrological clock we recomend a nice italian restaurant: Papá Giovanni > Melantrichova 10, very good food with reasenable prices. Absolutely nothing in hotel, but some advices about the city: do not change money in train station, they charge 17% commission when the other change points in the city center charge nothing :-( Also be aware with taxi drivers: not all of them are honest, they charged us (2 people) the ammount of a van for 8...and they even showed us a chart (with some information cut off, of course...). The hotel staff was really upset with the situation, but could do nothing since we had already paid.

Beautiful neighborhood and garden. A quiet neighborhood of Prague below the castle. The room was lovely, spacious and quiet. Our room had a kitchen with dishes and wine glasses. The buffet breakfast was quite good. Recommended.

We stayed in the Mandarin Oriental in Prague earlier in the year which was lovely but very expensive and so, we were very pleased with the quality and value of Appia Residences, we really can't fault it in any way and would definitely choose to stay there again.

Great location, nice comfortable and spacious rooms, very good breakfast, polite and helpful staff, Better shower facilities as there was only a bath in our room hotels terms and conditions regarding payments - payment taken out before travelling without any possibility of refund

The necessity to pass through outside to get to the breakfast area was not too nice, bearing in mind that winters are cold in Prague. Coffee served at breakfast wasn't necessarily of the best sort, much better coffee is served in the Czech Republic.

I loved my stay at Appia Residences. The location at a close proximity to the prague castle, charles bridge yet with some privacy was great . located in the street of the american, and German embassies, made it very safe to walk even late in November. Appia residence is a hotel with character and flavor, super clean cozy and reasonable in pricing. I would recommend Appia Residence for someone who is willing to walk abit .. not somebody with very young kids. Not a single disadvantage... Really a super hotel !

Nice place in a quiet part of beautiful Mala Strana in Prague. Hotel had style and atmosphere, was former monastary. Room was spatial and nicely decorated. Breakfastroom in the attic was impressive. Value for your money. I missed at breakfast sweet things like jam preferably home made and in a big jar (suggestion) .

Appia Residence is an excellent place to stay because of: 1. location - in Prague 1 and yet very quiet and tranquil; 2. security - near the German and US Embassies so passing cars and buses are checked by police; 3. easy access - a short walk from the hotel and take bus 292 to easily reach the street to Charles Bridge, and also to return to hotel at the end of the day, and a 5-minute uphill walk to Prague Castle; 4. facilities - the hotel has a lift , 24-hour reception and kitchen in the suite is very useful; 5. breakfast - the buffet breakfast is generous and satisfying. 6. Free wifi - excellent internet access. We stayed in Room 403A. I would like to suggest a shower curtain in the bathroom and a wall-hung dish rack for drying the dishes in the kitchenette.

Excellent location as quiet & away from the centre. However, it is a good 10-15 minute walk to the old town downhill, (meaning uphill after a day out!) & mainly cobbled. Room (suite) very comfortable. Breakfast good- historic breakfast room! The staff were very helpful & polite. The place really had a very relaxing atmosphere. Two things that could be improved upon-the small bar area could be made cosier & more inviting & the bathroom would benefit a shower door as the wall shower could only be used while sat in the bath.

We (a family of four, children aged 10 and 13) were staying at Appia Residences for four days in october. The staff were very helpfull and kind, breakfast was excellent, and location was super. We stayed at the lovely two.rooms apartment in the top of the building, and enjoyed coming back to the hotel after walking around Prague. We highly recommend this hotel, and would love to come back. Parking is a bit expensive, but that seems to be a generel problem in Prague.

Location is good if you prefer Mala Strana where not a lot of tourist. Was very quiet, cleaning, nice view. Very good for summer to sit outdoor on terrace. Huge room and also our room had separated kitchen with all types of kitchen utensils, vine glases, refrigirator and oven as well. Bathroom has big bath and regulated heater. Noone russian or spanish channel on tv. A part on channels works too bad.

Location (easy walking distance to Prague Castle and Charles Bridge); large, comfortable room, immaculately clean; lower level rooms have outside terrace (but no view); breakfast excellent, in a nice attic setting; staff helpful. Price (at reduced rate) a good deal for Prague, given the quality of the hotel and location. If driving, somewhat difficult to find and access (narrow streets). Parking very expensive if leaving a vehicle (31 euros/day). Hint on finding the hotel - directly up the small Sporkova street from the German Embassy.
