The Arbes hotel is located near the lush green Kinksy Gardens in central Prague, only a 5 minute walk from the Andel metro station. A tram stop can be found just around the corner. All rooms are elegantly equipped with new old-style furniture, a satellite TV and a minibar. A lockable private parking lot is available in the hotel courtyard. The lobby bar is open from 9am until 2am in the morning and offers a wide choice of alcohol and soft drinks. The cozy wine-cellar restaurant serves an extensive buffet breakfast as well as Czech and international cuisine for groups upon request. The wine cellar can also be used for meetings. The Hotel Arbes is conveniently located near Arbes square on the border between the Smichov (Prague 5) and Mala Strana (Prague one) districts, on the foot of Petrin hill and Prague Castle, close to the left bank of the Vltava river. The location of the hotel is very good and convenient. Near the metro station and shopping centre, only takes around 5 minutes. The staffs are very nice and helpful. The room is clean and the food is tasty. I'm satisfied with the attitude of the staff and I enjoy living in the hotel !

The staff - always smiling, wanting to make your stay pleasant (and succeeding in doing it), helping way beyond the paid for. The towels shelf - it's inside the bath so you always wet it while taking a shower. And there is no place in the bathroom to move them to.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for the meetings I had to attend and the price was reasonable for September, which I know is always a very busy month in Prague. I realise that I booked the cheapest single room but the room was very small with two small single beds end-to-end against the wall, with a small wardrobe between the heads of each bed. Also, the hotel was advertised as having fee wifi but this had a very weak and unuseable signal in the bedroom and only slightly better in the reception area.

Good position, friendly staff, good price. We're not disappointed at all. Internet access in rooms is provided through LAN cable only. Did you think of those people using iPad or smartphone (as I do)?.. ))

Good location, relatively close to the city center. At the entrance to the breakfast there was an announcement "it's strictly prohibited to take out the meal". I was feeling like everybody around wants to steel something from the hotel. When I was checking in the administrator counted twice more money than it was on booking. When I corrected her she apologized, but what if I wasn't attentive? The overall impression was quite depressive - small dark rooms with old furniture.

Womens at the reception were excellent, manager should give them a rise (not so excellent at a breakfast). Location is quiet and near city, tram station 20m away. Room was just fine. Prices in minibar are acceptable. Parking is expensive and almost no one paid parking. We are parked on public site just one street to the west for free. No air conditioning in the room.

convenience, clean quiet...except for noisy guests....good=sized rooms, good breakfast no adapters for Czech plugs...poor internet service.....no way to contact mana....gement....desk staff works 24 hour shifts...2 very pleasant, competent women at front desk.....1 not so pleasant......

I was lucky enough to find free parking on the street in front of the hotel for the 2 days I was there which was nice. The room on the site I booked had a double bed but the room I got had two singles. It was fine but I don't like not getting what the pictures show. I can't suddenly refuse to pat the price they agree to so why should they be able to suddenly switch the product? All in all it was a good hotel though.
