Score from 734 reviews Good
We wanted the novelty of staying on a river. It ticked the boxes in that respect. Good location, not far to walk to tourist attractions and some good restaurants. Staff were helpful.
Smell in the room. Rot? Had to have window open in room all the time to try and get rid of smell.
The experience of sleep in a boat, location is good and is easy to get there from the airport by tram or subway.
Value for money if you just sleep at night and have a sightseeing.
Facility is old.
Location is brilliant. Rooms are just like being on an old cruise ship - just like we are loving it - dark wood, everything clean. Fantastic view on the river we had. Beautiful terrace - unfortunately only opens at 11:30 :-( Very good kitchen! Very fair prices for food and drinks.
First evening we arrived quite late due to delay of flight and were welcomed by reception and even worse by waitress like "go home as soon as possible" - not a good start. Second evening they had a private party on the terrace (which unfortunately only opens at 11:30 - maybe because they are not having a grille in front of the bar and no staff until then) - one of the main reasons we booked the botel - meant no hotel guests were allowed on it - poor poor poor! Third day fortunately the "bulldog" of waitress obviously had her day off and a friendly woman and man were serving - that then made our day. All in all nice stay - but they could make so much more out of it - a smile from time to time doesn't cost anything!
Everything about Botel Albatros was excellent. The location (for where I needed to be) was perfect; plus there were wonderful views of the river with regular activity from other boats. The staff of the Botel were friendly and efficient. My room/cabin was a good size and nicely furnished. As with many other cruise boats, I had the obligatory swan on my bed but this time fashioned from the quilt rather than the towels. Being on the river side of the vessel, rather then the road side, it was very quiet. Breakfast provision was excellent - an extensive buffet with a wide choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, breads, plus hot eggs and sausages if required. I would definitely stay at Botel Albatros again.
Can't fault anything
The location wasn't too bad, it was about 15 minutes walk from the Powder Tower & Minicipal house, and the price was fine.
The bed was really uncomfortable, because the mattress was too thin! And there had a lot of insects on the quilts, which were just creepy and disgusting! Obviously, not clean enough...
Cool atmosphere, bomb free breakfast, nice clean rooms with a private bathroom, and it's on a boat!
Our room got a little muggy if we were gone all day but you just have to open the window!
Localisation close to center. Food
Location is great, breakfest is very good, restoran have a nice few, clean,
Bed, bed, bed,,,I belive in Gulag in Siberia was better. few cm foam on board is just dengerous for sleep. I m professional for sleep and mattressesand this is a shame , but not only hotel with such a low qouality of beds. For 70 Euros you can afford a ok bed and this is just out of word . Shame on owner,
in the city center, comfortable, view, clean, friendly staff, cheap
lack of vegetables for breakfast,
Everything was good
WiFi terrible . don't work in room
The initial novelty of staying on a boat (wears off fast). Decent location.
Small, cramped room. Ditto w/ bathroom. Do NOT eat in the upstairs restaurant.
The staff where really good. The ferry into town stops at the hotel which made it really easy to get into town just be wary of return times otherwise its a nice 30minute walk over the bridge #prettywalk. The food market is at the ebd of the gangway and big variety to choose from. We ate at a few of them and all where good.
Not much. Nice place. The aircon was a little smelly but better than hot nights sleep.
location agreeably quirk
cold, humid, small room very poor breakfast
It was something so different staying on a Botel. It was lovely being able to look out across the river for breakfast each day and sitting in the lounge enjoying a drink before exploring the town. The location was great too. The Albatros made a thoroughly enjoyable trip and would highly recommend this to anyone!
I had to struggle to think what to put in here so am not going to put anything!
It was very cool to stay on a boat. The location was walkable to the major sites. WiFi was available even in the room. The price made the stay worth it, despite some discomforts. The inclusive breakfast was actually quite decent.
There were loud noises from the boat just outside my room. The hallway got loud in the morning, due to loud guests and cleaning staff and thin walls. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.
Position, value for money, good for parking
- a little stink and wifi signal low
Fantastic restaurant Great location Lovely setting
Lack of (decent) Wi-Fi
Hotel was great! Food and room was really good, staff helpful and nice :) And the view from window just amazing! Locaation from the hotel to the centre less then 20min walking, so you can sleep in the night without any problem that you'll hear music from the pubs ;)
15 Minutes walk to the main squares. Quiet location at night. Felt like being on a boat, except it never moved, not even a rock. On board restaurant reasonable and food okay. Nice bar and terrace. Free wifi. Rooms kept clean and linen and towels clean. I would recommend this botel without hesitation and if ever in Prague again I would return there.
wifi was sporadic. The orange juice at breakfast was a disgusting, watery version of orange juice.Staff could do with some tuition on being friendlier and more welcoming, but that may just be a culture thing and it wouldn't put me off recommending it.
View on river from suite located on a back side of boat hotel located just 10 min walk from old town price/quality ratio
3-person suite is large enough but bathroom is very narrow, breakfest standard continental but without any vegetables nor fresh fruits, extremly bad coffe and juice, dust on furnitures although floor is vacuumed every day
Awesome fun place to stay. Close to the old town area, staff were friendly and helpful and best of all - its a boat!
The hotel is close to the downtown and a public transport hub. There's a great view from the upper level bar to the river and the castle, the prices very are affordable in overall. The breakfast is various and available till 10 am, however the restaurant does not have an ample seating capacity in the summer season. Be polite, and share your table with others! Having a cabin on boot feels great!
The boat haven't seen a reconstruction for a while, however the crew made a very proper job with the daily cleaning. My room was located on the lower level, where the air was stale and unfresh all the time despite of the frequently opened window. Due to the wet environment, I suppose. The air was my main issue during the stay, if the crew would be able to solve this, I would be happy to book here again. My window did not had a view on the river, but the parking place on the shore, nevertheless I did not ask for a room with river panorama. Make sure, that you ask for such a cabin! I don't recommend the hotel's own taxi service, it is way more expensive than a regular taxi.
Location near to tourist attractions. interesting boat atmosphere
Staff not friendly, breakfast not very good. Some smell of humidity in the room.
The ambiance and being on a boat hotel. Breakfast. Beds Wifi was good in the room
Its all becoming a little old fashioned. Cant say its bad, but not good either. Staff are not friendly, it looks they dont like there jobs. Wifi not working on the restaurant, bar, deks etc.
