This family-owned and operated chateau is surrounded by its own forest park next to the village of Hostačov in Eastern Bohemia. It features an outdoor pool and a movie theater, which are available for free. Built on the foundations of an early medieval fortress, this Renaissance building was recently turned into a bed and breakfast guesthouse and conference center. The restaurant offers a wide range of seasonal specialties from locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast is served in the grand hall or to your bedroom. Chateau Hostačov is a listed building with a unique character, and so each room and suite is also unique. All rooms are non-smoking, and there are rooms for disabled guests. You can play a game of Croquet in the courtyard, read a book or play chess in the library or play pool of ping-pong in the game room. Local attractions include the fairytale Zleby Chateau (2.5 miles away) and the town of Kutná Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (a 20-minute drive away). The hotel offers free transportation services to and from the nearby train station at Golčův Jeníkov upon advance request. This place is a gem. An old chateau, tucked away in the forest a few minutes drive east of Kutna Hora, is the perfect place to relax after a few hectic days of traveling. The staff is excellent, the food is delicious, the grounds beautiful. Good luck finding it without a GPS, though! Hostacov is waaaay off the beaten path. Only minor things, but at these prices, perfection isn't too much to ask. We ran out of hot water after only a few minutes. And breakfast isn't the production it is at other, lesser-priced places: just a platter of meats and cheeses (no eggs) and we had to ask for espresso.

What a find! A magnificent Renaissance style chateau set in acres of beautiful forest, with a moss covered lake, running stream and waterfall, coupled with beautiful vistas of green rolling hills. This is a place for solitude and peace and relaxation in beautifully appointed rooms with a first class kitchen and excellent wine list. I couldn't believe how cheap the rooms were. I had a single corner room with double windows on both sides facing the forest. The room was the size of a hotel suite, about 32 square meters, with large double bed, sofa and sitting area and desk. I had originally intended to use the chateau as a base from which to explore the UNESCO World Heritage town of Kutna Hora, which is about 30 minutes away. However, the chateau and surrounding forests were so beautiful and peaceful I simply stayed in the Chateau for the weekend and visited Kutna Hora on my way back to Prague.

We stayed for 5 nights in Suite 1 and really enjoyed it. The chateau is in a very quiet location in a little forest. The dinning room is beautiful and the food is good. Our bed was very comfortable and a real double bed (ie one big mattress rather than just 2 singles pushed together).

This is a large Chateau with large rooms all with high ceilings. Spacious and quiet, it also has a DVD mini cinema and a games room with table-tennis and pool table (all free). The dining room is stunning (with a listed ornate ceiling) and the food was good and pleasantly served. Very good value, however, it is in the middle of the Czech countryside and would be good for a get-away, or retreat. The library did lack comfortable seats.

We have been travelling in Europe for 3 months and this is the most delightful enchanting and memorable of all our extensive accomodation. The description of a chateau in the countryside does not do justice to the pleasure of all the little touches of charm of the rooms, the prettiness of its surroundings and the ambience of the dining experience. Of course to be 10 out of 10 experience, which it was, service and food must be excellentand řt was. There were no requests or assistance that were not fulfilled, including an early breakfast before departure. Our host Voja, was absolutely wonderful in helping us with advice re activities, maps,ongoing travel arrangements and in general making it an unforgettable experience. Having been raised in Australia, he also speaks perfect Aussie English so what more could we ask. Just to also comment that the pianist at dinner was another extremely enjoyable added dimension. We would rate this a 5star experience.

Het hotel is prima geschikt voor mensen die eens lekker ontspannen willen.Geen televisie op de kamer.Mooi gelegen in eigen natuurpark zonder geluiden van autos of fabrieken.Gastronomie excellent.Zeer vriendelijk personeel.Eigen cinema met keuze uit 350 films.Een aanrader.Prijs kwaliteit verhouding zeer goed.

Prachtig grote kamers, vriendelijk personeel, het eten was uitstekend, We mochten a la carte eten in plaats van een menu Als het druk is bv met een seminar of cursus, is dit voor de hotelgasten erg goed te merken. Dan is er te weinig personeel. We hadden wat problemen met het afrekenen.

Ha sido uno de los mejores hoteles que he estado en mi vida, en realidad es un pequeño castillo con todas las facilidades. Sala de juegos, filmación con proyector, etc. La habitación era sencillamente impresionante, aunque si que es verdad que un poco austero en la decoracion y el mobiliario. El entorno es espectacular, esta enclavado en mitad de un bosque. Para llegar hay que llegar a Hostacov y buscar un letrero que dice zamek hostacov. Personal muy amable aunque algo justo de idiomas. El colchon algo duro, aunque dormi unas 10 horas seguidas.

Sehr elegantes Hotel - echtes Schloß, mit einem großen Waldpark, passenden Atmosphäre und Still, antike Möbel und Ausstatung der Bibliothek und Speisesaal... Sehr sauber und gemütlich. Hochwertiges Abendessen mit Kerzenlicht und live-Musik...- Romantik pur! Sehr freundliches Personal. Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis ist sehr gut.

Perfekt renoviertes Schloss mit allem Komfort. Es gibt einem das Gefühl ein Gast im Schloss zu sein, betreut durch aufmerksame und nette Mitarbeitende. Etwas abgelegen, fast versteckt in der Landschaft, aber umgeben von einem Waldpark (mit einer amüsanten Geschichte aus der Vergangenheit des Schlosses). Presi/Leistung sehr gut. Kann man allen Gästen, die einen kultivierten Aufenthalt schätzen, wärmstens empfehlen. Habe ich keine.

Wij waren de enige gasten in het hotel en werden er dan ook als heren behandeld. Het eten is van voortreffelijke kwaliteit. De persoonlijke begeleiding was perfect. Echte materiële luxe zal men in dit hotel niet vinden doch voor ons niet belangrijk.Het kader des te meer.

Great location, very kind staff, very good value for money, the restaurant is strongly suggest: I had a wonderful dinner with good service, great food and the chef was extremely kind. Breakfast with wide choice of quality food and hand made croissant and cakes. !00% recommended. Ottimo hotel in un vero castello. Colazione con grande varietà di cibi di qualità. Il ristorante è fortemente raccomandato, il cuoco gentilissimo parla Italiano ed è molto bravo. Ottima cena con staordinaria scelta di dessert ed il prezzo finale è stato davvero basso. WiFi gratis e perfettamente funzionante l'hotel è un po' isolato e lontano da centri abitati. Può essere un difetto, ma è anche un pregio
