Score from 135 reviews Excellent
at 1st the reception location hard to reach , no elevator !! and the kitchen is disaster and the waiters she told us that she has verbal menu !! and portion just for one ! and the breakfast is poor
Hotel charged credit card before arrival
We had a late arrival & the woman who let us in asked for the payment right after we entered our room. Next morning the receptionist woman came running to our (open) door to ask for the payment. Thank God we had a handwritten paper with the price from the other woman.
Very good Price and accomodation conditions.
Location (~15km from Prague, but it shouldn;t be a big issue to people with it's own car)
Breakfast is bread with mold on bread. Staff went away without bread anymore. Twn bed is 02 peoples but 01 tower in room .
Nothing stands out, just an ordinary hotel in a poor location
If you have business there in town, ok. If you have no reason to be in town, you have no reason to stay in that hotel. Checkout time is 10:30 but the key card stops working at 10:00! Ordinary breakfast.
Helpful Reception staff. Excellent price and value. Nice room. Waitress awful and ruined our meals and our stay
We stayed at the Chotol Hotel for 2 nights whilst we visited Prague on our way to East Bavaria. Although I had let them know it would be 11 pm when we were due to arrive, the hotel was locked and appeared deserted when we did. A general notice on the door tells you to ring an external telephone number if you wish to enter after 9pm, but it is not always answered immediately, and we were left on the steps of the hotel with 2 little children, wondering what we should do. Eventually I made contact, but we had to wait about another 20 minutes for someone to come (by car) to let us in. The hotel itself is fine, and the main Reception staff next day were lovely - but the woman who serves breakfast in the restaurant - called Katka - was terrible, and seemed to think she was running some kind of Young Offenders' Institute. We arrived for breakfast the first morning about 09.30 am [breakfast is listed as 8 am to 10 am] as we'd had a very late night due to the delays getting into the hotel), and there were only a very few items left to eat on the serving table. I asked for some replacement items via Reception staff as there appeared to be no-one around. At 09.55 the requested items had still not arrived, but when I knocked on the kitchen door and asked again, a woman called Katka ( I later asked her name as her service was so appalling and disgraceful) sternly snapped at me "I have already told you, I have to prepare them!" (I wondered - but did not ask - luke warm hot dog sausages, how long does that take?). She then reluctantly brought them in but barked "breakfast finishes at 10 o'clock!". And she meant it! She stood at the side of our table pointing to her watch and reminding us every few seconds that we must leave. We were not even allowed to take a few slices of bread and cheese with us to our room. The children just could not eat fast enough for her, and with her breathing down their necks.
Not far from Prague and Airport
nice twin bed, very kind staffs, very clean, calm and peaceful.
too far from the bus stop. hard to go up on foot. it took more than 20 minutes from nearest bus stop. there is no airconditioner in the room. just rely on the nature winds come from a big window
Very cheap price. Spacy rooms.
It's geographically close to airport, but different side than main road to the airport. If you have a car then this is bargain accomodation. If you rely on public transportation, prepare for a hike. Breakfast was awful.
Location, friendliness of staff and breakfast given. Good value for price paid.
Everything was fine except could not get Wi-Fi in the room.
Clean, roomy and cheap
Arrived after 9 no one there, took 30 mins to get checked in byt which time restaurant was closed and it isn't near anywhere so went hungry and thirsty - no vending machines - nothing. Breakfast basic, opened late as well. No staff anywhere. Bizarre fawlty towers sort of place...
We arrived at 9:50pm. There was nobody at the reception desk. We had to call a number provided at the door to get the key of our room. The restaurant closes at 10pm, and they refused to serve us anything. Moreover, in the neighbourhood, it was difficult to find anything to eat. The breakfast is served from 8am, which is late when one is departing early. We were promised a breakfast packet, but were not given anything.
I liked the fact that baby bed was ready to use even if we didn't ask for it. Rooms were clean and nice. Staff is very friendly . We arrived very late but somebody came to meet us and give us a key.
It was hard to find at night - without a map or GPS would be quite hard. I didn't like the fact that when we came for breakfast around 9 o'clock - nearly all of the food was gone. I was missing tea/coffee facilities. Late breakfast (starting at 8.)
This is your basic hotel room. Nothing special. Clean and comfortable. Staff spoke English and was heplful with a special need that we had. Good value for the money.
You need a GPS to get there.
It was clean and our room was very nice. It was close to the airport. The YOUNG girl who helped us when we arrived just before they closed was very nice and helpful. She ended up staying late for us which we appreciated.
We drove to the hotel a couple of days ahead just to check to see where it was in relation to the airport and there was an OLDER woman at the desk who was NOT friendly at all. When we asked her for directions she just waved her hand to the left and that was it. Not impressed
Easy to use public transit to go to Prague. Nice area to hike in the fields or forest. Great location for our dog. Staff were very accommodating for us and the dog. Restaurant served nice dinners for a great price. Katja's personality (one of the owners of the restaurant) made it fun to be there. Happy hour was great to catch up with other guests. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed. The hotel is under the flight path for the airport but planes stopped by 11:00 p.m. really quiet at night. Local people were very friendly and interested in where you were from. The beer is the BEST in Europe and really cheap!!!!
We missed the fresh fruit with our breakfast.
easy to find with GPS, 11mins driving to airport，beautiful town with lidl and gas station. free parking. big room with soap and shower gel provided. low price, basic breakfast. Fit for stay one night before or after flight.
Clean rooms, enough space. Parking place in front of the hotel. Breakfast is simple but that probably depends of the people's habits (for us breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we used to have plantiful meal).
When we arrive at the hotel we found that there is only one reservation for us (we booked 5 night in total but have reservation only for 1st night). Lady on the reception had smile all the time but she was not so willing to help us and the major problem was that hotel was booked and there was no chance to find two rooms for us. Since we were very persistant and insisted to call booking team, finally she done it but since that moment I have already made a call and spent additional money.. (we came from Serbia that is almoust 1000 km away and it was Easter so whole Prague was fully booked). You can pay in euro but the excange rate is 25 (in the exc office is 27,2). Thanks to the booking team our problem was solved and they found alterantive accomodation for us.
Poor breakfast. No reception available 4 late arriving guests.
near the airport, free breakfast is nice.
One staff can hardly speak English. Wifi is too weak! We have to stand in the corridor to use it!
--Check in was friendly -- Bedsize
The hotel is located quite away, and is not easy to find! I chose it because I had my return flight the other day morning, so I would not go so far, because it is about 8 km from the airport away ! When I was one check in at the front desk, suddenly came there a other woman, who is responsible for the restaurant and asked briskly, " if I had not seen the notice" that it was not allowed to park there, I should put away the car! But the clue was in Czech written! Later, I wanted something in the restaurant eating and I asked for the menu card, but these did not exist! Then read the "friendly" Woman some dishes from the list, when I asked if I could pay the dinner with the credit card, came their „friendliness„ back! So I had to leave the restaurant without dinner! Anyhow their was only me! And for all the luck I could get no breakfast, as this will only be served from 08:00, normal is served everywhere from 07:00 clock, but not in this special Hotel!
Totally satisfied (y)
Rural and peaceful area. Nice hotel and rooms. Several options to hang out outside of the hotel in that small town (bowling, bar, dining). Friendly and accommodating staff. Cab fair to the airport under 200 Crowns (under $10) due to the short distance - only 5 km (cca 3 miles) from the airport. Free breakfast.
When booking directly through the hotel, the price was double of the price that booking.com offered. Could not use the internet in our room due to the poor WiFi signal. Main lobby area was not heated. Relatively far from the city center. You have to take subway and then the bus or pay 700 Crowns ($35) for a cab fair to get there.
