Kind staff who can speak english well. Close to the city center and especially to the castle and charles brigde. Air condition system is ok, also there is heater in the bathroom. Standart rooms are better than superior room in my opinion. Superior rooms' designs are different but they are not useful. ( I stayed 1 standart and 2 superior rooms) Breakfast is not very well; there should be more alternative. This otel is not appropriate for old people. You should climb a hill to reach otel at first. In addition you can not reach by elevator to most of the rooms. The stairs of some buildings are impossible to ascend with luggage and there is no staff to help you.

The desk clerk was very helpful and very nice. We loved the location and loved the breakfast buffet. We also appreciated the free wifi so we could stay in contact with family. We would recommend this hotel.

Location, price, design. (Suit room) Poor breakfast, no bathrobe, noize in the room which faces the street. Very few power sockets which were located very uncomfortably to reach. Refrigerator was not working during whole stay. Lack of light in the room. Wrong booking information. Price increase at checkout.

Location is great (be aware the hotel is on a slope if you don't like to walk). Upon arrival at reception (around 23.00) we were given the key and sent to 'find' our room with a brief description ("take the lift, go left, go right, new building, pay attention the corridor is in complete darkness, go left..."). After taking a lift and walking in a truly dark corridor (very dangerous) we found out that the room was not the room we booked. We got the confirmation for a 'Superior Double Room with king bed and glass bathrooms' while in reality we where sent to another more normal room, directly on the street (noisy) and with no airconditioning (26 degrees in the room). After our complaint the person at reception nervously replied that they didn't have anymore rooms with the characteristics we wanted. I insisted for a change or a commercial gesture and I was sent to a smaller room in the same position! I again complained and asked for a discount or something free from the bar but they said: "Yes, a bottle of water". This is clearly not the way a 4- star hotel should treat customers, especially playing these sneaky tricks of advertising available rooms which are not really available. Why not informing us ahead that the glass room, we booked and paid was not available? After one night of terrible sleep they had the 'kindness' to give us another (smaller) room (quieter but still no airco) trying to justify their behaviour by saying "we are sorry, every room is different, so it's difficult to keep track of what is booked and what is available"!. I will surely avoid this place for my next visit to Prague.

The price is fair, and nice location next to Prague Castle in terms of city mass transport systems, it's not the best location. It's located high on the Prague Castle hill. So, if you have bags and need to save money and do not want to take one of Prague's dishonest taxis, then expect to lug your luggage uphill for 10 to 15 minutes.

I think I should write the complaints here to let the other tourists know about that. The booking has been made in Sep 2011 for 2 nights stay of 25 Dec check in and 27 Dec check out. I have chosen a superior room with glass bathroom and got a confirmation letter from booking.com which has been clearly marked down a King size bed superior room with glass bathroom. When I arrived there around 2 o'clock the afternoon, I couldn't imagine what a bad room is. It was not inside the hotel, the receptionist gave me a key to go to the next 2 door to open a studio on ground floor on the street side. When we opened the window, we could see the people walking pass our window. Moreover, it was not a glass bathroom, it just had a small glass door for the bathroom. My husband said that we have been cheated. We asked the receptionist to change the room, and she said the hotel has been fully booked. There were 2 superior rooms w glass bathroom but has been added an extra bed. I found that they wanted to get more money so has given our room to the others. It was too bad. I wanted to cancel the booking but the receptionist said 1 night should be paid. I wanted to call the police but I knew that it was not our language to talk with the police. Then the girl gave another room inside the hotel but was still a standard room not glass bathroom, even the window was without curtain. She said that it was the only room available and changed the hotel tarif as the standard room of 80€. We then spent 2 hours to find another hotel to change for the 2nd night. The girl was nice but she could do nothing to help us.

The location was superb, just below the Castle in the upper part of Mala Strana. Excellent helpful staff and very attractive hotel on the main road up to the Castle. Had a street facing room on the top floor (3rd - but good lift) but even with the window open were not disturbed by noise. Good breakfast. Good simple Czech pubs/cafes selling excellent cheap beer (kr28 - kr35 for half litre) and good wholesome reasonably priced food in the area. Recommend nearby "u Cerneho Vola" pub as totally traditional and full of atmosphere and "u Kokoura", a friendly pub on Nerudova, for a drink to break the walk back from Charles Bridge. Also "u Sevce Matouse" for simple good Czech food, near "u Cerneho Vola". For Jazz would recommend AghARTaJazz Centrum in Stare Mesto for good live Jazz and location deep in the cellars - approx kr250 entry but pub prices for a drink. Location might be less convenient for anybody with walking difficulties as the hotel is a 15 minute uphill walk from Charles Bridge but plenty of relatively cheap taxis (use aaa) and on a bus route. Slight problem on arrival as had been allocated a double room when I specifically requested a twin. This was sorted out immediately and we were re- allocated a twin. This would be worth confirming beforehand as the hotel only has two twin-bedded rooms.

The location very convenient for visiting prague on foot. Nice hotel with nice decoration. It was a bit noisy inside the hotel (noise during the night in corridor). The breakfast could be improved. Not a large choice of quality food.

I like the old furniture inside the hotel mixed with modern one. They do not want to serve breakfast to me and my friend breakfast at 7.00 in the morning when we explain to them that we have meeting at 7.300,becouse they start at 7.30 with the breakfast. So we go hungry on a meeting. Breakfast was on the tables but they put the lights off ,they do not let us to eatm and I was angry.

Really enjoyed the location and artistic vibe of this hotel. The breakfast was great. Average value for the money. We had a bathroom with a tub. They do not have extensions to clasp the shower-head on to the wall so you are stuck in the tub (my husband and I are shower people). The rooms with showers in the middle were awkward.

Hotel Neruda was an excellent place to stay while exploring Prague' old town. Its close to the Castle and Charles bridge is only about 10min walk. The rooms were clean and shower great. The reception staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was really good and the ice teas served in the bar were just what was needed after a day of wandering around. I'd highly recommend it for a weekend break.

The location was very good and so was the breakfast. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. It's on a very quaint, but steep street below the castle and required walking uphill quite a ways after sightseeing in the city. Some one in poor physical condition might find it difficult. Directly overhead of our room, was a terrace connected to a neighboring restaurant not connected with the hotel- The first night, there were people talking loudly late into the night on the terrace. We needed to keep the windows open because the air conditioner was real noisy off and on and did not cool the room off very quickly. That just happened the one time, but then again, it rained several nights keeping people off the terrace.

The Hotel is amazing: the restoration is cared in the details and all facilities are of absolute quality. I received the suite at the third floor with the view on the castle, it is really an experience. The position of the hotel is perfect, 2 minutes walking from the castle, 3 mins to the nearest tram stop (add 5 extra mins to tube stop) and less than 10 mins to Charles bridge. The area nearby the hotel has many restaurants not only for tourists and it is perfect to explore the city. Breakfast is of high quality and staff very welcoming.

The hotel is beautifull and the staff is very friendly! We booked a superiour room, the room was great and as requested had a bath as well. Only the shower was missing! In the end we requested for another room with shower. This room was beautiful as well, so we didn't mind. The breakfast was not very good. We expected more, but it was very poor.
