rooms were pretty cold...and I am usually not that sensitive.
Design great, quirky and different.
Smell of new paint a real put off.. Be nice if the staff smiled and showed us where the room was as it was not easy to find...
Location was amazing and staff was nice but for room was small for the price. Breakfast first day ( Saturday morning) was poor and half hour before close most trays were empty and no one refill them. Order a taxi and had to wait 30 min as reception had arrange the same taxi with another couple that was leaving 30'min later. Good job I planned extra time!
small room and the most horrible lamps I have ever seen in my live
-Very well located, just a few steps from Prague castle; - The room was spacious and confortable; - Breakfest is excelent.
_ I have nothing to complain.
The location. The view was breathtaking. Great dining options at reasonable prices. Great breakfast Very welcoming and attentive staff
The location. The climb was exhausting.
Staff members were warm & friendly. Breakfast was good. And rooms were quiet.
My room needed refurbished. Carpets were worn. Paint was marred. Bed was a little saggy, and there was this toe- stubbing threshold that got me mor than once on late night trips to the bathroom.
Position of hotel; away from main tourist area; local cafes & restaurants were good. Breakfasts good quality and value. A Czech feel / ambience to hotel.
A lack of areas to sit within room and hotel. Noise from cleaners very early in the morning. A lack of kettle facilities within room. All windows need curtains!!!
The design, the room and the excellent shower
Staff helpful Breakfast excellent Room very nice
Stairs very steep, check in advance. No hospitality tray in room
Location/ Neighborhood Breakfast Staff Lobby Bathroom Welcome drink!
room needed some repairs uncomfortable bed horrible pillows curtains were stylish, but no effective clunky out-of-date furnishings color pallet was depressingly beige walk from public transport (step uphill)
The hotel was really nice!! Staff did everything they could for u and had plenty of advice! Especially the blonde lady who was always extremely friendly and helpful!! The room was very big as was the bed and extremely comfortable!! Breakfast was very nice!! The hotel was only a 5 min walk from Charles bridge which was amazing!! Lovely hotel and city
Standard single room - the bathroom with the bathtub was great! The variety of things at breakfast was also perfect - something for everyone. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The location really cannot be beat and it was very quiet and peaceful at night!
The lighting in the room was a bit dark (not enough lights really), but that added to the relaxing mood nonetheless after a long day of business meetings.
Good location of the hotel, close to many of Prague's historical highlights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet rooms. Nice and rich breakfast.
Standard rooms are rather basic and small. Very small bathroom, old TV set, no view from the windows. Carpet was stained. Some of the standard rooms are definitely in need of refurbishment and slightly overpriced.
I like the breakfast, good spread of breakfast. The front staff is very helpful.
Wi fi gets disrupted very often, need to relog very often. Cleaning of room is not timely. Our room was not cleaned twice although we hang the sign to clean the room.
The staff were warm and friendly apart from the guy we first met on checking in. He just handed us keys and as the hotel has a very strange winding way to different rooms with bad signs, we spent ages lost around the property. The hotel is bang central in the old city and is very well located.
The bathroom was always wet as it was impossible to take a shower without the spray going everywhere! Wet toilet, wet toilet paper and wet slippery floor. Dangerous and very frustrating as anything in the bathroom got wet! The bathroom design just wasn't practical - bad design! The room was a mixture of different coloured wood furniture which just didn't fit elegantly together - the pictures on the website are great and inticing but the actual hotel is a bit disappointing in terms of design and elegance. There were steep stairs to our room after getting in the lift, and with a lot of luggage and no offer of any help from the guy working on reception it was a real effort lugging our bags up and down the stairs. The lighting in the rooms is cheap and tacky with no classy elegant fittings - really a let down if u wanted to just read in bed for a bit - horrible glass coloured lamps that were very revolting and definitely should not be in this hotel. On our second day of stay, I asked for the room to be cleaned, and fresh towels to be put in the room. When I returned to the room, the cleaning was minimal, and my two bath towels were worn, shabby and had big holes in them. Not the kind of towel you would expect from a design hotel ! I took the manager to the room and gave all the above feedback and he was kind and appreciated and apologised and offered us some coffees and said he hoped things would be better the next time I come to stay! I don't know that I ever would go back!
Very good breakfast!
Very small rooms! Booked because advertised air and it did not work!
I liked very much the location, the receptionist Pavlina and the genius loci of this place. Labyrint of corridors to get on the room gives a mysterious feeling when getting inside the three buildings which are connected into this one hotel. Breakfast was not excellent, was not bad, was fair.
When went to the toilet on my room no. 002 I was hit by a terrible smell of the floor which obviously was not well cleaned after somebody who could not focus properly to the toilet. The smell was like on some poor railway station WC. Suppose it was an exceptional situation...
Excellent location, generous breakfast.
The hotel is not a 4* hotel (at least not the standard room. The room was smelly and carpet stained, air condition did not work and on the bed there were duvets (in the summer!), the cleaning lady forgot to empty the trash in the bathroom and we were with a baby (lot of diapers). The hotel entrance and elevator are very narrow and uncomfortable, especially if you have a baby trolley. Too many unnecessary steps (from reception to the elevator, from the elevator to the breakfast room). No possibility to have dinner in the hotel and the bar closes at 15:00! It was pouring rain outside (and inside the hotel, as the matter of fact, there was a small incident at the reception - the water was pouring out of the wall installation down the stairs) and we could not go out of the hotel.
Hotel was terrible - description on booking.com did match what we got - Apparently those show online are the Delux rooms and were renovated but many rooms were not. Lights in our hallway did not work so we could not see to open or lock our door to room and they did nothing when we asked for it to be fixed. TV was from 1985 with 5 stations, bad reception, and a broken remote. Light in room did not work. Very noisey as was first room that was very dated (70s/ We complained but the very young concierges said there was nothing they could dine bit would tell mgmt who never did anything. Website Says massages are available but they don't tell you the therapists are students who happen to still charge full price.
Helpful staff and good location.
If you book the hotel based on the pictures you will be disappointed. The hotel and the rooms are not as impressive as on the pictures.
Modern style and design room. Smiling and helpful employees. Nice breakfast. Good location.
Martin on reception is fantastic, so friendly and very helpful. Booked us a taxi to the bus station when we were running really late, and chased up the taxi company so that we could reach our bus. Thanks Martin! Breakfast was good. We had the small standard room which was the most economical option and everything worked well.
Excellent location, just a few steps from the castle. Also have lots of restaurants nearby. As for the hotel itself, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. And the breakfast was very good as well. I definitely recommend this hotel.
