Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, breakfast had a good choice of items and you could order a fresh omlette or scrambled eggs. The room was very comfortable - we had the suite on the top floor.A short walk to the tram and metro link to the city. Good location outside of the main town you just need to be aware that it is a 15-20minute walk into town, but we considered this a good thing as you get to see part of the city that would have been missed. Also the advantage of being outside the main town centre is that restaurants are cheaper. Hotel were helpful in recommending a more traditional restaurant - The Blue Duckling, well worth a visit if you like game. The hotel also organised the airport taxi. Very enjoyable. |

Hotel employees always available and helpful. Hotel and room perfectly clean, nothing broken or out of order. Very comfortable bed. Very good breakfast (way enough to skip lunch if needed). Safe parking and complimentary internet (hotel laptop if needed). Location really ok, not far from the city center. Room a bit too warm (the air co is turned of in winter when the heating system is on) |

The Hotel General is absolutely gorgeous. We were really impressed wiht the hotel, the room, the staff, and the breakfast. It was all top notch. We have been to Prague many times, but this was our favorite stay by far. The parking is great for drivers, which is a real plus in the city. The walk into the old town is only about a 20 minute walk, so not a problem at all. You walk along the river and through a very nice park. |

Truly a 5 * hotel with "white glove" service, luxurious furnishings, a staff that was always there when you wanted them - nothing was any trouble for them; excellent knowledgeable staff. We used their car service twice and it was excellent. Great value for the money. No, everything was excellent. We would absolutely stay there again. |

Kindness of the staff, cleanliness and quality of the rooms, quality of the buffet breakfast. The announced price on Booking.com was 160 euros per night, at checkout the charged the price was in czech kurons equivalent to 172,8 euros per night and not 160 euros per night. So at reservation, the announced room rate used an unrealistic exchange rate to the advantage of the hotel. |

Front office sent information after booking, (wired) free internet Although eggs are made on order, the breakfast choice is a bit limited. During breakfast a dvd was played. Coffee cream was passed its “use by” date. Room had no view. |

Good breakfast (but nothing special for 5-star); Friendly staff Everything small (lobby, restaurant, parking); Fairly far walk to subway station (not clean neighberhood); Accessories (already broken hair-drier not repaired upon request); Price not transparent !!! (eventually the hotel charges you 10% more from the listed price in Euros as the hotel uses a currency exchange rate which is higher +10% than market rate - I realized this later); 2 spiders lived in my room |

It's my second stay here at this hotel and everything is just perfect! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I've been traveling around Europe for business and this one is definitely among my top rankings! |

This is our third stay in 3 weeks and I would strongly recommend you to stay at the Hotel General...The rooms are beautifully decorated, the staff are extremly proficient, friendly, knowlegable of Prague,speak excellent English, friendly and helpful, breakfast most enjoyable,a welcome alcoholic beverage on arrival...nice touch... Hotel great value for money, 15min pleasant walk along the river into Old Town..Underground and trams few minute walk from Hotel..Car parking cheaper than most Hotels which is a bonus...14Euro compared to 25Euro upwards. We liked it so much on our first visit we have returned two more times and will return again or put our visitors up in this Hotel when they arevisiting us as we are now residents of Prague...We can not fault this Hotel and as we live in Europe we are frequent travellers and stay in many Hotels....this rates as the best we have stayed in...great value for the price.. |

From the champagne arrival drink in reception through to our final moments, the staff were very helpful. The receptionist greeted us with tour booklets/maps and very useful advice. A fantastic break. Nothing at all. One area for improvement could be the redesign of the bar menus. They do not reflect the standard of the hotel. |

The hotel and the neighborhood were quiet -- I could sleep with my window open, although I am very sensitive to noise. The bed was unusually small but comfortable. The staff was very dedicated and helpful. There was no unexpected or expensive extra. The breakfast was good, with a choice of freshly prepared dishes. The hotel's car service was excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel is in many respect more hype than real luxury or comfort. My room was extremely small, without a bathtub. It was impossible to obtain full darkness, the curtain was insufficient and 3 bright LEDs that I could not easily switch off illuminated the room. The TV had several hundred channels, but to access them I had to manipulate two not very intuitive remote controls. |

All staff are very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is standard European style. You can order pancakes or omelets. My room was a bit small with 2 children, but very clean and comfortable. Only 2 mins to get tram station. My daughter really liked stylish amenities here so she kept them everyday. We recommend this hotel!! It is not a dangerous place though I did not like the environment around this hotel. |

Best experience I ever had in my life, very warm welcome from the staff on arrival glass of champagne.beautiful room with view to courtyard.on very first evening had coctails in hotel wine bar.breakfast of very high standard.Sure will go back to Prague and will stay here. I can say I have new home in Prague :) |

Me and my boyfriend on the way to mountains for skiing had a stopover in Hotel General for a night.We both were fascinated by the Hotel and services which hotel give to its clients. Great value for money, perfect location just few minutes walk to the local transportation.I Surely will recommend tis hotel to my famiy and frineds in future.Thanks Hotel General for the hospitality and care.GOOD Luck. |

The place was very comfortable during the first two nights. Gorgeous bathroom. There was no hot water the last night and morning and this was winter! We were heading off to work and couldn't avoid taking an icy shower. The hotel desk manager didn't apologize or even seem concerned when told of the problem. If there is one thing that strikes a hotel from my list, it's lack of hot water. |
