It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. The personnel is charming and very useful. There was a problem of electricity in the bathroom. Impossible to find a way to switch off the light without removing all the light by the door pass.

We were made to feel very welcome. Staff were forward (but not pushy) about offering help. Modern decor in an old building. Near to some sites and we were able to walk to almost everywhere else we wanted to go in Prague - we will normalluy walk for 30 minutes without thinlking about alternative modes of transport The coice at breakfast could have been bigger - but this is a small point and would not influence a decision to return therre

The hotel staff is very competent as well as helpful and friendly. We felt welcomed since the first minutes of our arrival. Although it's an old building, the interior looks perfectly renovated and comfortable, while keeping up historical charme. Our room ont the 4th floor was quite large considering the low price, and we had a nice view on the adjacent street and the rooftops of the city centre.

Pleasant staff, great location, no complaints. If you order a taxi, do it for 100m lower in the street (it changes to one-way), otherwise you have to go all round the castle (3x distance to the centre)

The Golden Wheel was a fabulous find. The hotel is well located and the room was very comfortable, spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We even had a balcony with a view of the castle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel well exceeded our expectations, particularly considering a touristy city like Prague. The breakfast selection could be improved (for example, I would enjoy finding some dark bread), but still, it was sufficient.

The hotel was exemplary. Breakfast was wonderful with excellent croissants, cheeses, eggs, salamis and sausages plus cereals, fruits. Rooms were clean, staff were very friendly. Price was really good too, I shopped high and low and this place was a great price for location. Being on Neruda, we had access to great restaurants like the Three Violins (Tri Housle) plus we were 3-4 minutes walking from Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral. The staff called our taxi for the airport in advance and every morning at our breakfast had the day's expected weather report and highlights and sightseeing tips. Half our 5 days were decided upon based on what the hotel gave us. So in effect, we had a room for my family and the hotel added variety to our sightseeing, without extra cost! I strongly recommend the Golden Wheel. It is in my Favourites in my gps for next time! Paul, Rhona and Emily from Ontario, Canada Really, there is nothing to not like, everything is excellent. I just recommend that visitors take the Metro from the heart of Prague (eg. Vaclav Square or Staromestsky Namesti) to Novy Mesto and then take the 22 Tram up to the drop off at Neruda. Otherwise it is a 1.5 km hike from Staromesto Namesti, which for us was not an issue but doing it 5 days in a row can be tiring on the knees. But the distance to the Charles Bridge from the hotel was just 500 meters. Nothing to complain about.

The hotel staff were exceptional. From serving the wonderful and filling complimentary breakfast to answering all my questions, they were awesome and did it with a smile. Location is close to Prague castle and just down the hill from the public tram system.

For my personal point of view the hotel staff was the best since many years. The staff (E.G. breakfast, reception) was very polite, service- oriented and we could ask any questions. After the first breakfast the employee knew our preferences. The location is a little ambivalent, but after all very good. The street of the Golden Wheel is called Nerdudova is something like the heart for the Mala Strana. Therefore the street is a little busy and many tourist are around. But the hotel very close to many sites like the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Petrin Tower, the Old Town square and so on. After all the Nerdudova is part of many guidebooks and is a place of interest for itself.

very nice hotel with polite and helpfull stuff. the location is nice, we liked this part of the city very much and we were glad that we stayed in this part of the city. we had a pretty view from the window down Nerudova street with a nice perspective. the decoration of the room is also nice. breakfasts are very poor for the hotel 4* as they indicate themself.

“The location is great, few steps to Wenceslas square, close to restaurants and bars, shops... It's beautiful historical building, so no elevator, but we liked the atmosphere of the hotel and didn't mind the exercise :-) Receptionist was very nice, booked dinner for us and also recommended nice jazz club for the evening... Would definitelly stay again when in Prague.” Lenka, Dublin |
