Grand Hotel Praha  

Fantastic location, great value for money, clean and well appointed rooms, good choice at breakfast, all in all one of the best city hotels we have stayed at, would always choose this hotel when staying in Prague.

Our family of 5 spent New Years with the wonderful staff at the Hotel Praha. Though I made my reservation via Bookings.com, I was in email communication with the hotel prior to our visit to work out some details and they were not only responsive but concerned for our well being. The room (Presidential Suite) was better than advertised with a wonderful view of the Clock. When we wanted to eat Chinese/Champagne in our room, the manager gladly provided plates and utensils and proper glasses for our celebration. Everything during this timeframe was expensive but the value was definitely there. Wonderful breakfast included. We will return.

Can't think of anything we did not like though I did read other reviewers that were disappointed with their rooms. I can see how this might happen since this is an old hotel that uses old charming buildings on the square ... so some rooms have 'interior' views which are not as desirable. However, the location is fantastic. By the way, the reason we know this about other rooms is that we arrived at 6am. The staff were concerned for our comfort and gave us a back room (very nice) to use till our room was ready later in the day.

The hotel and its staff are very warm and friendly, the location is fantastic and the accommodations were as represented in the advertisement. The staff were extremely warm and friendly, most helpful and complemented the experience. The breakfast was quite enjoyable and the gourmet evening jazz concert that we attended was memorable. All in all, a delightful experience and a place that we would return to in a flash.

great location, nice rooms.

This was the best hotel I have stayed in! The rooms were beautiful and so traditional,it was in a perfect location we had a view of the astrological clock and the whole market square. We will never stay anywhere but here in all future trips 2 Prague! The staff were friendly, breakfast was great! Just can't praise it enough!

Everything was perfect! No faults at all!!

Great location on old town square. The view from our room was fine. Bed was comfortable.

Room facilities (drawer space, desk, tv) need attention, and lighting in our room was very poor, even after an extra light was provided. De Luxe was a major over-statement. Buffet breakfast was so-so, but, as with many aspects of the hotel, could have been greatly improved had the management been on the ball.

Great view and location

The location is terrific and the room was lovely and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Internet connection was slow and the coffee wasn't great but we enjoyed the hotel very much. And Prague is a very beautiful, lively place. We had good meals and great local fun in restuarants attached to the hotel - with discounts.

Location, staff, ease

Very friendly staff. The hotel is perfectly situated right at the main old town square. Nice huge beds!

No coffee making facilities. Very limited number of English channels on tv (only news channels)

Very good location. (Center of the old town), Nice breakfast, very nice and kind hotel staff.

Great staff, especially the tall young man at the front desk who walked us out to the cab with our bags, found restaurants for us, etc. He was the best, but I don't know his name.
