It was a really good located with a tram station just in the other side of the road.
The wifi only gets a good sinal in the public kitchen or entrance.
-clean; -renovated; -cheap; -helpful staff.
-no cooking equipment in the kitchen
There is a tram stop in front and the bed seemed pretty new/it was comfortable.
The staff made multiple "room allocation" mistakes in the short time I was in the reception.
Relatively very cheap, good bathroom (but no bath-tub),
The kitchen had no steaking pans, zero equipment, slow WiFi, the staff spoke little english (I speak no Czech), not the best value for money. Poor location, to far away from the city center and the cleaning staff didnt really clean that well (still lots of dust under bed after they finished)
The value for the money paid is very good: beds are new and rather comportable to sleep in, furniture is minimum but functional.
i am not sure about cleanliness: there was some stray hair on the bed so we used our own linen.
It's great clean but it is so far out of the city and it really is a pain. Your better off just spending that extra for public transport on your hostel.
So far from the city.
price; the room was cleaned; close to shops, where you can buy food
one bathroom for 2 rooms and the door is not locked with a key, i had to write on paper "dont enter" and we used it; Internet worked really bad and just in the corridor
I was traveling in Prague with my mom for 3 days 3 night. 1. Nice staffs The hostel doesn't provide any shower gel and shampoo, luckily I've brought mine. But the next day it was threw away as trash by the house-keeper. I told the front desk this just to let them know it's their fault and didn't expect they would a good make up. However, the staffs took it seriously, they apologized to me and bought me a new Nivea shower cream! I'm really impressed! 2. Lidl supermarket is just nearby Only 1 station tram, or within 10 minutes walk you can find everything in the very big supermarket. 3. Cheap price But I will suggest, if you have a bit higher budge, stay near the city center. Dont waste so much time for transportation.
1. This hostel is too far from city center, you have to take metro first and transfer to tram again. The transportation takes more then 20 mins . 2. A kitchen without kitchenware As a visitor, who will have kitchenwares in the luggage? We could cook anything, there's even no knite! Luckily you still can find a water cooker there. 3. too simple room with this price of course it has only simple facilities. But the door handle of the our room's front door is broken! It can be locked, but the handle would sometimes dropped down! How can it be safe? 4. a twin room with bathroom It's true you don't have to use the shared bathroom, but it's also not only for our room, we still have to share it with the guests of another twin room! When we open the very front door of our room, I was surprised to see there were another 2 rooms and one bathroom. The room has also very poor sound proof.
Location is fair enough.
Poor Wifi, no utensils at all in kitchen.
Near tram stop.
No utensils in pantry.
who works in reception they interest in very kindly and helpful. Also, they were quite smiling. This is so important the first time to talk with another people. In addition, if you need somewhere and if you need to find immediately one place according another places, the hostel is quite economic and relax for summer session. Also, they promote some opportunity to book a room in there on webside.
They should care about to clean bathroom. Also, the hostel should provide need of soap less than another tools and according another hostel for toilet. In addition, It seems a little unsafely because when I booked a room in there several person stayed also the place is a little bit far from center of the city but it's not too much problem. Who wants to book there, they can reach everywhere thanks to tramways and metro.
The bathroom is shared between two rooms and there is no luck for the bathroom. No slipper in the room.
It was a place to sleep
No facilities to make tea, warm food up or a communal area to relax.
Assolutamente niente. Nothing.
Tutto un disastro. 1) First day at check in I had injured hand blooding but they did not give me first aid and assistance because were no medical instruments for disinfection. 2) Unsafe place with lots of gypsies, last day in the check out the neighborhoods leave open door and stole my jacket and the suit of another guy. 3) Cleaning are not for every day. They ask me money plus for cleaning every day. They clean rooms twice at week even if there were 4 people in our room and so lot of garbage 4) bathroom was divided for 4 people in our room and other 2 people in the near room, so for 6 people and cleaned twice a week too. 5) First day I come I found escrements in the wc, not clean and bad smelling room, with mountain of beers in the basket for rubbish and very bad smell fridge with expired food 6) The place is not hostel. REALLY BE CAREFUL. That is a place were homeless, builder constructors and gypsies lives for very few money. So there is no common room and no television 7) Kitchen is not furnished of anything. The first day I came they told me that I should have taken from Italy. (VERY FUNNY) 8) People in the reception are so arrogant and not polite 9) I sent lot of emails to booking.com for complaining of all these inefficiencies everytime there was a problem. The reception stopped answering them in 18 May. I was there from 2 May to 1 June. 10) The day of check out the woman at reception throw out me even if I needed to stay 1 night more and even if I had money to stay more. The woman take my clothes and let it dropped down in the floor outside the room, threatening me to waste them in the garbage. 11) Even if I asked my money back the first day for inefficiencies, they did not refund me but oblige me to pay a fine for damages in the shared room and bathroom, imputing me the faults for damages and dirt. Absolutely not recommended place for staying. They treat me like a pig even if I payed them 1 month rental.
The staff arrange my friend and me to stay in the same room.
The smell of the room is not good, like someone just smoking inside of it.
there is no latch or lock from inside in washroom
Unpleasant smell in the whole hostel Dirty kitchen whithout any dishes, and even knifes or spoons The room wasnt very clean
A little far from the Old Town..
This seems to be a hostel located in a former factory dormitory. The interiors must have been renovated very recently because everything is really new, very clean and functional. You can choose to stay in a dorm or have your own room. Either one is good value for money.
The location is not very convenient. It's quite far from the center which in general is not a problem because Prague has the most efficient and convenient public transport I have ever seen. However, it's located in a somewhat industrial outskirts area of Prague. As many hostels you can expect to seen quite some sketchy charecters there. The staff is not the most friendly one either but do their job well.
Didnt like the fact that its centrally located. While it is 10-20 min from the city center, its in an industrial suburb where it is difficult to find anyone to guide you. The receptionist was not helpful. I wanted to check something and she didnt answer even though i could see her in the office just coz it was post 9 pm.
That hostel is quite quiet and is easy to join from the bus station.
I strongly advise against that hostel, especially for women travelling alone. We were two girls and didn't feel safe at all there. We have been waiting for a long time at the reception, whereas both receptionists where talking inside, and became angry everytime someone knocked on the window. There are workers, families and really worrying people who live permanently in that hostel and I would prefer staying outside rather than in the corridors of the hostel. We couldn't close the room's door during the last night because the door handle was broken and we would be locked in the room. Moreover, the room seemed to be clean when we arrived but the bed linen of the other beds were not changed during our stay whereas new people arrived every night. The kitchen was supposed to be fully equiped but there was nothing to cook: just a hotplate and a kettle, nothing else, so we couldn't use it. Secure feeling and cleanliness are part of the most important criteria and they were not fulfilled!
Comfy room; one bathroom for two rooms. The tram from tram stop next to the hostel goes straight to the Old Town. Hostel has also private car parking. The personnel speaks English.
There is a little problem with a noisy and soundproof. I heard like a guy from a room next to mine was snoring :-)
It has a spartan concept that actually works, clean, cheap. it will do your job, you will get a night's sleep, I would recommend it especially during high season holidays, such as 1st of May, because they don't raise prices just for the day like other hostels
Interacting with the reception is a must for those who want to take a taste of how things worked in the soviet union, you must beg to talk to them, knock on the window, then they ll open it to talk to you if they are in the mood. A level of roughness and apathy unheard of in western countries, a must see to understand what people were suffering in the daily interaction with bureaucrats during communism
Good location (near the O2 Arena)
The reception lady was arrogant, it was obvious, that she doesn´t like her job... There´s no information around the reception about, that you cannot pay by credit card. You will not get any extra information without asking her and her English was poor. We didn´t get a towel in our room, which was not so clean (and I don´t speak about our shared bathrom). At the end, the biggest mistake we relized...it was visible, that our beds weren´t clearly linened BED LINEN WAS USED BEFORE US!!!! I do not recommend this hostel at all...
Very disappointing hostel: there were a lot of workers staying there for longer time and the room was not clean. Personal was not friendly and did not commit to their promises. I was told they would make it possible to check in at 5am that day, but nobody was there. Consequently they said they would not charge me since I had been sleeping on the couch, but they eventually did.
