Score from 913 reviews Wonderful
Great location and generous sized room.
Difficult to use the shower over the bath given the sloping roof.
Room we had overlooked the market square - it was beautiful.
Location Homeliness Value Friendliness of female receptionist Breakfast selection Comfort of bed, except....
Pillows. Way too flat and did not support neck.
The Hotel Grand was a perfect stay from start to finish for us. The reception from Zuzane was very welcoming and friendly and our room on the 1st floor (room 11) was beautiful with 2 large windows overlooking the town square. All modern facilities provided with a lovely bathroom. We will highly recommend to our friends and will stay her again.
Nice staff, very good breakfast, perfect location ...
Nothing, everything was nice
location and breakfast are great!
the blanket looks dirty, and there is no curtain in the bathroom tub, which is a really bad idea. When taking shower, water came out of the tub and the floor is wet throughout.
Really lovely hotel, good location, very clean, newly furnished, very good breakfast and excellent staff "Susan".
The location is great. The staff helpful and pleasant. Our room was charming and the air conditioning made for a pleasant October stay.
The beds are not as comfortable for a side sleeper, but great for a back sleeper.
Staff were so friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was within walking distance to everything. The breakfasts were generous and catered for all tastes.
The location was central, however, the room was in the roof spoace and faced the square on the front side and a pedestrian throughway on the other. With the windows open the noise from the taverns was loud. Breakfast was adequate not great. Tried to charge double for the pet because he was 'large'
Our room looked out on the castle . The hotel clerk recommended outstanding restaurants that served local foods. This is a must-stay hotel.
Service was very good, from check in / out, to the restaurant where the food was good and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants. Location is fantastic. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the main square.
Like most hotels in cesky krumlov you will have to deal with steep stairs. Wifi dint seem to work during our stay.
In a traditional building on the main square it has been modernised with a lot of style; combining modern amenities with the traditional building in a sympathetic way. Indeed the rooms are some of the most stylish I'v had in any hotel - really lovely. It has all the facilities you'd expect of a modern hotel room; including wifi, coffee machine, satellite TV, fridge. etc. But better than the hotel itself are the staff, who are extremely helpful and friendly.
Like so many Czech hotels the bed is not a proper double, but 2 singles pushed together. Not what I'd expect in a hotel of this class. the quality of the bedding and towels in far from the standard I would expect.
We were given a rooftop room so we could see the castle and town. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good, great coffee!
No laundry service
Had a great room with hugh windows that opened unto the square. Breakfast was great. Staff and service were excellent. Wished we could have stayed longer.
No elevator but staff were very helpful with the luggage.
Close proximity to everything Cesky Krumlov has to offer. Room was spacious and we'll appointed. We had an attic room with view of the castle tower! Lovely! Receptionist was friendly and helpful. She was very knowledgable and gave up useful info. Parking available off site was secure and reasonably priced.
Pillows were awful - thin and lumpy!!! Really expected much better at such an establishment.
My two children and my father stayed at the Hotel Grand for three nights. The hotel is directly on the market square and within walking distance to "everything". Our suite was clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet. There was double bed separated from a nice seating area, plus another bedroom. The breakfast was adequate with hot and cold choices.
There is no elevator, so getting a heavy suitcase up the narrow stairs could be a challenge for some people. The breakfast room was chaotic at times with tables not being cleared and food not being replenished quickly. I contribute this to the volume of people, and NOT to the lack of hustle by the staff! Just be aware that the parking lot (close to P2) connected to the hotel is about a 15 min walk away.
The hotel is nice, elegant, and clean, located at the center of Cesky-Krumlov. There are beautiful music performed at the square, and is literally next door to Slatava Tavern (the most famous restaurant in Cesky-Krumlov <3). The room is very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely come back to this hotel!
Location. Great breakfast. Nice staff.
The reception lady was really friendly and helpful. Good location!
1.If you came by car, the parking space is a little bit far away. 2.It was difficult to keep the floor dry while you're taking a shower.
Good location right at the town square, great breakfast. Room was clean and quiet.
Parking is very far from hotel. Under staff at the reception, we waited for about 15 min to just asked the reception for our car which was valet by the hotel staff when we got there, but was told that they have no one to get our car and we have to go get it ourselves. The walk to the parking was about 15 min and then we have to searched where was the car parked which was another 5 min.
The location was excellent. The breakfast had a good selection and variety of foods. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I felt that the statement on the website under "general" mentioning the fact that the hotel had AC was misleading. That was one of the criteria for selecting the hotel and was disappointed that only the DELUXE rooms had AC. Fortunately it was not as hot as expected and they supplied a fan. Otherwise I think it would have been very uncomfortable since you could not leave the windows open with the noise of the bar below. Other than that minor surprise, it was a great place to stay.
Junior suite overlooking town square was great. We had our sons stay in Junior suite with castle view, which was not as good a room.
