Very homely and the location rocks... A bit off from Prague downtown hustle but its a good coming home feeling when returning from the center after a hectic day's outing. Easy connections to center, while going to center would recommend taking the tram and while returning take the metro. For first timers, bus connection while returning from metro is in the opposite end of the metro station (near kfc) and not the metro stop where you get down!

The room is comfortable and we have a garden view. Feel like in chalet. Breakfast is very good & friendly staff. This hotel is value for money. Good wifi connection. The toilet is a bit out-dated and old. It is suitable for people with cars. The parking at the slope and near pool side is very tigh and narrow. Better park at the car parks infront of the hotel.

The hotels location is in a quiet neighborhood of prague with a great view. It is no problem to get into downtown by metro/tram or bus, although it takes a while. It is a small , family run hotel with small but very clean, nice furnished rooms. Nice decorations with love to the detail! Good parking facilities and staff at reception speaks well english. Very good breakfast with lots of variety and fresh pancakes. I would recommend this hotel if u dont like the big chain-hotels and if u dont mind living a little bit further out! very good value for price!!!!

The hotel is charming and interesting! The room was very comfortable and cozy!! It was spacious and also offered a balcony. Inside the room was a large workdesk and table. The location of this hotel is ideal for travelers that are driving, it is very close to the highway/autobahn. The hotel offers a beautiful view of the city, as the hotel is high on a hill. The food was great! They provide a very good breakfast! Ultimately, the staff was friendly and very helpful! I will gladly stay in this hotel again if the opportunity arises. You cannot get a better deal anywhere else!

As a fact ,,first of all the coast of a night is fair , second the location is perfect .,and as I know this hotel originally is a big Vila and build on a top of high mountain in Prague.. I like the staff in this hotel they are very very nice people,, we like also the lady which make the pancake at morning ,,yes the hotel need some more modifications like change the earth carpet ,and put a big Air cycle to remove food cooking smell from the restaurant place ,,I hope next time when we go to this hotel we will find that all this changes are applied ..any way we stay 12 days in this hotel and its very nice time for as.. We finally send a big thanks to the staff there and wish to them all the best now and in the future.

The breakfast was one of the most complete and excellent ones we had on our whole stay in Europe. the room and bath was very clean and comfortable but smallish. Secure free parking behind the hotel. Far from the city center and a long walk up a still hill. A car is almost mandatory to stay here. The wifi never worked and the aging computer in the lobby was almost useless. No lights over it at night and refused to connect up to much of anything.

It was clean and the breakfast was perfect. For the money I spent for renting a room I would expect newer forniture, I didnt like the smell of smoke from cigarettes that was in majority of the corridors (that made a first bad impression on me. On the other hand the room was smoke-free). Probably it is about the fact it is in Praha, and having this accomodation I would be perfectly sattisfied, but for a price at least 30% lower. But otherwise it was a nice hotel.

Interesting location on hill, good view from window, quiet place, sufficient breakfast. Too cold in some rooms when outside temperature was below +5 oC, no extra heaters, not enough extra blankets. Some rooms have unpleasant smell, very old furniture and need repair. Hotel is located on hill and it's not easy to go uphill from tram or bus.

It was good value for money during the New Year holidays. Very friendly stuff, free hotel parking, good breakfasts. The location is not great. To get to the center you should basically walk for 7-10min to the bus stop, then take the bus 4 stops and then take the underground train few stops. So it takes about 40min to get to the center. Not a problem but could be better=) We had a room on 3rd floor but there`s no lift in the hotel so had to drag all the luggage upstairs by myself.

Great breakfast, kind staff, nice dinner A bit hot in the room, because of heat coming from the fridge and the bathroomwall (?!) and there was no airco. And unfortunnately there was a wedding reception which made it a bit noisy during the afternoon and evening/night. Normally fun, but we had hoped for a quiet restday/night at the end of our holidays.

We felt at home immediately. the atmosphere was so good. the personel spoke english. the room was very cozy and clean and the beds were very good. It was easy to go to the city center and back so its good for visiting Prague for a weekend. We liked the very good breakfast and we once had a lunch in the evening which was also very good. We will recomment this hotel to all our fiends and ofcourse to all who will visit Prague and want to feel at home in the evening.

The use of swimming pool was great for the children. Breakfast was great and had variety. Hotel staff friendly and polite. Great crepes. Dinner was good. Quiet. Hotel and one apartment was looking a little tired and in need of updating. Access to car parking at back of hotel is a very steep small road so if possible park at top of property. Has one apartment with very limited facilities, kichenette in one bedroom - old equipment and situated like in a basement-very dark. Views of motorway not beautiful Prague city - maybe that was our expectations! Photos a little misleading.

Good value for money. Nice and quiet location. Swimming pool facility. WiFi internet. Although close to the city, the connection to reach Prag center/old town is bit hassle due to change of bus and metro. Bus station is around 400 m away from the hotel.

We booked the 2 bedroom apartment and were very disappointed. It is in a forgotten corner of the hotel with the 2 nd bedroom actually being the kitchen. We complained to the manager who changed the room on the 3 rd day. We stayed in the hotel for 4 days. The second room was fine. There is no lift so not elderly friendly. My mother is 81 and found the stairs everywhere tiring. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good especially the freshly made crepes. The location is in a residential area so not much to do in the day. Overall a good experience once we were given the 2 nd room. They didn't charge for it which was nice.

It was very reasonable price wise. The staff were lovely, particularly the waitress in the restaurant in the evenings. The pancakes and breakfast were lovely. The swimming pool was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Would have liked tea/coffee in the room and slight damp smell in the bathroom.

Best of all we liked the people at Hotel Monica! Very friendly receptionist and breakfast staff. The breakfast is a real treat with creppes made a la carte and the coffee/tee served at the table! The view from the terace is stunning! The swimming pool is outside so we could not enjoy it in this cold and rainy summer weekend, but will visit next time in better weather. The transportation in Prague is like in Switzerland - very frequent and timely, so the distance from the center isonly 20min but you gain free parking in a gated and monitored carport. The hotel needs elevator from the street as it is difficult to carry luggage.

Our children loved the swimming pool and the room was spacious enough for five persons, friendly staff, breakfast was good - one couldn't ask for more. Tram connection to the centre of Prague wasn't functioning, but it was not really a problem as there were other alternatives.

Brilliant breakfasts, especially the pancakes made to order. Magnificant vistas over the river fromthe restuarant and pool perfect. Staff excellent. We booked a quadruple room but what we got seemed to be a double room with 2 camp-beds. No balcony and no view. We immediately informed reception but they said no other rooms were available. This is a good hotel but we were unfortunate with the room even though we would have paid more.

We enjoyed the beautiful views of Prague from the terrace. The staff was excellent. The owner even helped carry our bags to the car when we were checking out.The pool does not close. The bar had fair prices. There was Pilsener on tap. The breakfast crepes were delicious! The room was on the smaller side but not a big deal since we were only in the room to sleep.

“We were upgraded to Residence Tynska, literally one block off Old Town Square. The location was amazing. Right in the heart of the old city. The residence was clean and very charming. Eva, who checked us in, was so kind and accommodating and was a great source of information. Although we only stayed 3 nights, you could easily stay a month in the apartment. It was clean and safe and had a cute little balcony. We loved it!” Lisa, Rotterdam |
