We stayed in this hotel 6 nights.Rooms at the hotel are large and comfortable. Good internet. Content excellent rooms (mini kitchen), so that after a day spent touring the city can afford to cook coffee, tea, or for those who want to save, and can prepare a meal of some (basic utensils for preparing meals). Close to town (about 5-10 minutes walk to the square Vasclav. Metro Station I.P. Pavlova and tram station 2 minutes away. The staff friendly. Parking nearby. We all highly recommend it When we arrived at the hotel, they gave us room 505 which is small and that did not have anything to offer the rooms that are offered through booking.com, and offered that we booked him as a room size of 25m2, it has a seating area that has a separate kitchen area, etc.. I immediately complained to the room after 10 minutes we were assigned a room that I reserved.Breakfast was uneventful. Maids are emptied every day trash cans only from the bathroom and bedrooms, a kitchen trash from work are not emptied during our stay, rooms were poorly cleaned.Despite these shortcomings, all I would recommend this hotel for a short (2-3 nights) as well as a longer stay (as we stayed 6 nights)

The location was very nice. Staff was helpful and polite! Our room was big and got cleaned every day. Bathroom was also good and clean. There was no noise due to our windows were towards the back yard - recommend everyone to order that kind of room. There is nothing that I didn't like about this hotel.

Sokolska is a very loud street, but the courtyard side is very quiet. You are close to both the historic center and the main railroad station (it's an easy enough walk for anyone who is even moderately fit). The rooms are huge and have very nice hardwood floors and huge windows. You even have a kitchenette in most rooms as well as a good table. The staff are very nice and very helpful. In terms of value, Select cannot be beat. Select is not a luxury hotel but Select does offer really good spacious rooms near the center of town at very good rates. You do have to bring your own internet though for the moment, as the wifi definitely does not work by floor three. On the downside, the weekend we were there, the curtains had been sent out for cleaning without any replacements. In some of the rooms, without curtains, there was very little privacy. My door showed the signs of violent break-in (in the distant past I was told). Leaving visible traces of break-in is an encouragement to future criminals and disturbing to new clients. For breakfast there was no fruits or vegetables and the "juice" was not real fruit juice. Even the coffee from the coffee machine was powdered and not ground. They did have great pastries though. The showers were also a disappointment as they are barely large enough for a large man to use. Many hotels in Prague though seem to use the same small plastic shower stalls and Hotel Select is no worse than the others. The internet is terrible and Select should fix it immediately. A rather weak connection is shared through the whole hotel with a router on each floor. But the routers bridge wirelessly so by the time you get to the fourth floor, your connection is going through four separate wireless connections to get to the external connection. Speeds like 1 kb/sec are a result. What Select need to do is run ethernet to each floor (a separate cable for each floor, i.e. 5 cables!) from a central router and upgrade their main connection. As there is an elevator, these cables would not be too difficult to install in the elevator shaft. The routers could be mounted high up on a wall on the target floor. They may be able to get away with a single router for two floors if Select buy the right dual antenna routers, reducing the cables to two.

1. I didn't liked the attitude of the hotel staff, especially one female person from the reception who was very rude with us, unavailable and not at all flexible. 2. When i booked the rooms, i intended to make only a reservation and not to pay online. Anyway, the hotel took the money for accommodation from my credit card without announcing me and this annoyed me.

Dobrá poloha hotela - neďaleko stanice metra I.P.Pavlova. Good lokacion - close to metro station I.P.Pavlova. Slabý výber jedál na raňajky. Hotel okrem ubytovania a raňajok nesposkytuje žiadne iné služby. Hotel pri rezervácií platobnou kartou cez booking šťahuje vopred platby za ubytovanie. Poor choice of foods for breakfast. Hotel accommodation and breakfast except there are no other services. Hotel bookings for credit card booking over the moves in advance payment for accommodation.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The hotel is placed between the old city and the new city, which is very good for sightseeing in both. The receptionist was very friendly and the whole experience in Hotel Residence was excellent. The room was not very sound-proof, and the Wi-Fi had some problems.

This is a comfortable, clean and friendly hotel within walking distance of all the lovely places to see. Breakfasts are lovely with selections of cold meats and cheese, fruit, cereals, rolls etc. Our room was facing the courtyard and it was quiet and peaceful with comfortable beds and a small cooking area which is useful with a kettle and sufficient utensils and dishes, also a sink and fridge. There is a handy local supermarket just round the corner. There is a particularly good restaurant/brewery a few blocks away, good food and beer and good prices. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very nice with spacious and comfortable rooms. The staff is polite and helpful. It is very close to wensceslas-the central square-and to the pavlova metro station,on foot.Breakfast hasn't got a big variety but,it is,still, just fine. The room service was inadequate and as a result, sheets and towels weren't changed every day.The room we were given wasn't of those ones in the photos, nevertheless,it was nice and comfortable.

The location is quite good. No distance at all to the underground and only a short walk to Wenceslas Square. Rooms very clean although very very basic. Expect no frills then you wont be disappointed. We had a room to the back of the Hotel - no noise and warm. We had a kitchenette in the room but no coffee/tea supplies so take some supplies with you. We bought some things from a nearby mini market. Perhaps more basic than we would have liked but then the price was good so you cant have it all.

“Excellent location. Quiet street but only a seven minute walk to the main square. Loved the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The breakfast brought to the room each morning was perfect and always delivered at the exact time specified the day before. Many nice shops down the block for wine and take-out food.” Daniel, Chicago |
