One of the few Karlovy Vary Hotels that spoke Good English. They went out of their way to offer advice and help - the whole staff was polite and caring. Comfortable beds and a really great breakfast buffet. Right in the center of town.

Perfect location in a dream city. Everything above expectation. Should be one of your alternatives in Karlovy Vary. Insist on a room with front view.

Pretty much everything, but, as we were there out of season, the price most of all! Excellent location, rooms and the breakfast spread was one of the best I have had in the Czech Republic. The difficulty of arriving by car in Karlovy Vary could be overcome by better directions from the hotel itself prior to arrival.

Good hotel, we had a deluxe room with balcony on the 3rd floor and liked it along with the location. Reception staff were very helpful and spoke good english. Location was good for the Castle Spa which was just across the road but we didn't like the Spa; poor staff there and limited options, if you are looking to Spa then think twice about the Castle Spa. Not really about the hotel but the Castle Spa across the road, although not part of the hotel there is an indriect link in that they promote it and it's across the road. Stay at the hotel but give the Castle Spa a miss. It's too clinical for a Spa. We booked a 4 hour session which meant we would need to be out by 3pm. We came out from our massage at 2-45 and poured a small green tea to have for 5 minutes before leaving to get changed. They stopped us pouring the tea and said we had to leave right now, we said we still had time and would just be two minutes having the tea. They basically told us to leave shoving a piece of paper in our face pointing to the time, we tried to explain we still had time but they couldn't speak English so we had no choice but to leave. Frankly it totally undid any good from going in the first place. Also the massage rooms are not very relaxing; very bright playing general pop music, there's no real steam or sauna falcilites apart from a little wooden box you can fit two people in. Not many people there, no wonder!!!!

The hotel is in an attractively renovated, centrally located old building. It offers a fine view -- particularly in the morning sun -- of the spa. The building has modern facilities, including a large, efficient elevator, and the hotel is furnished in a pleasant traditional style. Our room was spacious and had large, very comfortable beds with firm mattresses. Excellent chairs, well-placed lamps and a desk added to our comfort. The bathroom was reasonably modern and well furnished; only the toilet seat seemed a bit flimsy. Our room was to the back of the hotel, and we heard no noises of any sort. The hotel staff were unobtrusive but available whenever we needed anything, and always helpful. Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant, and was among the most lavish and tastiest we have found anywhere, with an excellent selection of breads, rolls and pastries, fruit and muesli, eggs, meats and fish, cheeses, and many sorts of beverages -- a model of its kind. Without the morning sunlight the restaurant at dinner seemed a bit dark and not at all lively. Brighter lighting would have helped the appearance (also perhaps a string trio?) Service at dinner was somewhat patchy but adequate, and the kitchen closed rather earlier than we would have liked.

The location! It was perfect for a solo traveller like myself because everything was just a stone's throw away fromt this hotel. I loved the variety in their breakfast too! It was huge and delicious! Martina, at the reception, was a great help too. She was very sweet and kind to me. :) The elevator doesn't seem to stop on the first floor oftenly. So when I was hurrying to transfer my luggage to the ground floor, while my car transfer was waiting downstairs for me, I had to wait for about 10 minutes for the elevator to get to the ground floor. It was very irritating. Also, they dont seem to have a bell-boy. I had to take my luggage up to my room and back myself.

It's a little far from bus facilities and a long way from the train station.

The hotel is at the central street but apart of the location which is not so important in such a small city it's rather average and too expensive for the poor services which it offers. The worst is the attudite of the management. The check-out time is 11 A.M. and when orderring a taxi for midday I asked if it's ok to leave at 12. The pleasant english-speaking man at the receprion said that's no problem as the hotel isn't full. But when I came at 10 minutes to 12 the lady was cleaning my room moving beetween my things. The girl at the reception informed me that they'll invoice me extra 10 euro for overstay but still the manager came shouting at me out loud before the other tourists and cleaning staff and kept insulting me until I moved with my things to the reception sayng that I broke some low and he won't let me think that I've got the right to do what I want. I was shoked and didn't have any chance to incert a word between hid histerical cries. I've never experiences such hostility before. I didn't sleep so I could've easily take the suitcase out of the room in the morning when leaving for the appiontment if I was not allowed to keep the room until midday. But even apart from that noone has the right to shout at the customer like this. Stay away from this hotel if you don't want to be insulted and shouted at.

Great Restaurant and good service. The free internet was a very welcome surprise as many European hotels don't have it or charge excessively for it. Squeeze bottle soap and shampoo all in one...typical but still not my preference.

Nice location and very nice shower in the room. Nice view also from the window. Rooms are also big but they need newer furniture and TV. The breakfast was good. I think a little overpriced for what they offer. There is no lobby in the hotel. Only a restaurant and a veranda outside, which we could not use since it was raining the most of our time there.

The friendliness of the staff, the excellent breakast buffett, and the very nicely furnished, clean and comfortable room. The strong lights from the other side of the building shining into the room and which it was difficult to shut out even with the curtains; sometimes it was a bit noisy (other guests).

Wonderful location - we booked the balcony deluxe room - lovely view across the main town - staff very efficient and helpful - breakfast catered to all tastes. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and whilst not cheap by Czech standards food was exceptional and service excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a little luxury in an excellent location. Nothing - hotel was excellent

It has a good location in town The bedroom was very poor, I got the offer of paying in advance and they gave me a very bad room with an uncomfortable bed and lack of cleanliness (including a spider in the curtain). I got cheated and I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. When I asked to change into a proper room they told me to pay an extra amount of 50 Euros. It was definitely a very bad choice.
