We booked the hotel based on the web site description. This proved to be most acurate. Everything about the hotel was good with one small problem - the mini bar/fridge did not work. This was not fixed even though we reported the fault. Otherwise the service was good and the staff spoke english well and with genuine politeness. The room was very good and comfortable. We had balcony on the top floor which was great for a quiet drink in the evening and for watching the occassional strom brew. The location was very good and close to the train station which we used as a pick up poit for a cheap bus to the airport. The resurant was fine but you will need to like meat with few alternatives on the menu. The breakfast was a triumph! Every taste was catered for and the service was very good. We did not experience any of the concerns in other reviews about men hanging around the area and noise. The location is busy and there are some adult venues in the area but no difficulties at all. There is a handy mini store just roun the conrner. Good hotel! On reflection, nothing bad at all.

Nice restaurant, nice location, good quality and clean. Rooms were very small and the staff was unfriendly. Only one one smile in four days and that was from an English guy, Paul, who was very good. This is a place to sleep and eat breakfast but other than that get out into the city as soon as you can.

The hotel staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful with any queries we had which made our stay at the Jalta very comfortable. The rooms are slightly small however they are comfortable enough for 2 people and the beds are very comfortable. We also had a buffet breakfast in the hotel's resturant included in our room price which is a plus for those travelling with families. The hotel provides free internet and has a gym, which whilst undated, it is good to use during your stay. The hotel is located next to 2 casinos in the new part of Prague. Whilst is a short walk to the old town square and a number of resturants, we found that we didn't want to venture too far at night as we didn't feel very safe in this area. I would still however recommend this hotel

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Near the metro stations (Museum and Mustek) in front the Wenceslas Square at which many rooms have view. Staff at the reception is helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a flat tv with many channels and pay tv. The room has plenty of storage for the luggage and clothes and a safe box. Products l’occitane at the bathroom were refilled every day. The room also has a mini bar with pay products. The area of the hotel is safe even at night. The breakfast is a nice buffet with very good quality and products. The hotel is about 10 minute walk to the Astronomical clock and about 10-15 minutes to the main shopping street. Internet wifi connection is good and no password needed. The hotel is not a 5 star hotel as mentioned at Booking.com but a good 4 star hotel. Paul at the reception is a very helpful and polite guy. We had no problem with our reservation through Booking. They gave us the proper room according to our reservation and with the prize mentioned at our reservation. In the elevator you have to use your room card in order to go up and this seems safe to me. I will recommend the hotel dispite some improvements needed. The cleaning staff room service makes a lot of noise early in the morning and you can hardly sleep. The staff at the breakfast area is not friendly and polite, someone should have taken their smile out of their faces. When you say to them “goodmorning” they never reply!! Even if they may not know English should learn how to reply on this. I have stayed at 4th floor but i could lightly hear the noise from the street and the cars. At breakfast there are no choices for coffee, you can only drink black coffee which is also bad tasted. You also have the chance to drink hot chocolate which is also not good tasted. You also do not have the opportunity to order an espresso or a cappuccino during your breakfast. The a/c at the room was not working correctly. The reception area is very poor. There is no lounge area; there is the reception, some couches, a table in the front with a pc and nothing else. The reception should be more decorated for a 4 star hotel with flowers, carpets, more couches with tables in the middle etc. The reception desk looks like a 3 star hotel. In order to go to the wc at the lobby you have to pass through the restaurant (Combo) and the condition of them was awful. Not clean floor and in bad condition. Very poor for a 4 star hotel, they look like a 2 star hotel or mainly like good public toilets !!

Staff at the reception were very kind and helpful Very old towels. Noise from the shower of the neighbors. Torn bed sheets. Bad lighting inside the room. Bathroom is not in a good condition. Can't control the heating in the room. It is far away from being a 5 stars hotel. Bottom line don't waste your money.

Good location, friendly staff, welcome drink was nice, good value for money and free wi-fi worked well. Really good hotel, and our complaints below are small ones. Breakfast was quite nice, but got boring quickly on our 5 day stay. Gym could have more equipment (but the equipment was new).

Excellent location, nice modern design, friendly staff Staying on a room with view to the square has its advantages (sun and nice view) and disadvantages - noisy drunk people late night

The hotel is one of many excellent ones in Prague, and what struck me most was the value for money. The parking was a bit expensive (€29 per day), but it included a valet service, so I guess it's ok. The staff was extremely helpful, and there were little luxuries in the room, like wonderfully soft bathrobes and heated flooring in the bathroom. I didn't like that the balcony door wasn't soundproof, and when the guests in the next room were having a shower, we could hear it, and it was really loud. Breakfast was kind of limited as well... the coffee tasted horrid (bad quality) and the 'orange juice' was a cheap- tasting fruit drink. There were only 3 varieties of cheese and one variety of ham... but I wouldn't compülain about it given the quality of the service and especially the price! I strongly, strongly recommend this hotel.

Location - easy 10-15 mins walk to Old Town. Breakfast has quite a good selection. Some of the front desk staff could have been more helpful. A more powerful hairdryer.

Excellent location, lovely room and well tidied everyday. Only a minor thing, which you wouldn't necessarily realise if you don't sleep in the room: there was a gap in the curtains which let in a lot of light at night from Wenceslas Square. Not very helpful for sleeping!

I cannot praise this hotel enough. The service is the best we have ever received. The trip was to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday & the manager of the hotel was superb. He made the weekend a very special event for us & provided fantastic service, as did all of the staff. The location is perfect, restaurant superb, rooms absolutely lovely. We loved Prague and will definitely be returning, and staying at the Jalta.

Jalta is a very basic Hotel, there is nothing wrong with that, but then they should consider removing a couple of stars, more a 3-star hotel than a 5-star to me. Breakfast was very basic, rooms nothing special, must have caught a smoking- room as the smell was awful.

I really liked the Jalta. The architecture of the building is superb, the decor lovely. Location very good, not much noise from Wencelas Square other than a bit from the traffic. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. The room was a nice size again lovely tasteful and modern well kept decor. Lovely balcony over looking the square. Flat screen tv with good selection of channels and pay per view films. Bathroom well equipped with l'occitane shampoo, bubble bath, lotion and soap. Lots of hot water for a bath. Plenty of storage for clothes. Beds very comfortable. Stocked Fridge and free safe. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice, cooked full english, every cheese and cooked meat of choice, various breads, fruit salad etc. There were only two things that irritated me and they were minor. The shower was too cluttered and small. The doors to the rooms banged all the time. No matter how hard you tried to close them. With guests coming and going and maids cleaning, the doors banged all the time.
