For the very inexpensive price, you get old world charm and a fantastic location.
After the first night they started at 7:30 with renovation of the window below our room with jackhammer, so we couldn't sleep any longer. About that they didn't inform us on booking or checking in. We changed the Hotel. Discussion to get Money back was more than difficult.
Very friendly staff, small details: coffee and tea in room, hi-speed wi-fi, ideal clearness of the room. Location in the heart of Prague!
Great location, great and knowledgeable staff as well. Would definitely stay again!!!
Everything was just like expected. Clean, great stuff, good breakfast (variety of hot and cold dishes, pastry, cereals, yogurts, etc), very tasty espresso from the coffee machine. Location is the best, all attractions are in walking distance.
Pillows are too soft.
Enjoyed every minute!Clean! Very quiet! Staff is super friendly and helpful! Location just near Karl's bridge! We really glad we choose to spend our holiday at this hotel.
Nothing at all!
Everything was perfect. Hotel, location, staff... excellent. We will stay here again for sure.
Very very friendly girls at reception, extremely helpful, and speaking good English! Perfect location (1 minute's walk to Karluv Most) Nice and cosy room, fair breakfast
staff were very helpful, they even left us stay for an extra hour before chcek out so we could leave our bags in the room and go out for a walk and come back and have a shower before we headed for the airport - all this at no extra cost! Also the room was very big and clean, bed was very comfy. great location
Wifi is excellent Reception staff was very helpfull Breakfast menu was fine Location is perfect
great situation great service at the front desk big familial suite clean very good heating (it was freezing winter outside)
berakfast service quality (staff not very customer oriented) cost of parking place cosiness of the bathroom of our familial suite
We were looking for somewhere that was within walking distance of the sights but in a quiet spot. This hotel was in a sort of cul de sac next to the park with no passing traffic, so worked out perfect for us. Staff were among the friendliest we've experienced on our travels & gave good advice about where to eat etc. (thanks Stan) We were given a very large room at the rear overlooking the stream/canal. Wi Fi connection was good in the room. Food was standard fair but decent quality, with a nice selection of fruit teas. We'll stay there again when we get back to Prague
The excellent receptionist greeted us with a warm welcome (and was really helpful in recommending non-toutisty places) - the gratis mulled wine on arrival was most welcome! Check in was quick and easy. My room was a small twin/double but fine for single occupation. Spotlessly clean, plus it had a nice view of the millstream Certovka (?). The location is ideal for a quiet stay. There are a few restaurants nearby but I didn't get the chance to try them. The location is lovely and peaceful, really close the the river's edge and accessible for boat trips (will do this next time). If I'm in this area again I would return to this hotel. There are a couple of Italian/Sicilian restaurants near Kampa Park I would like to try.
The pillows were too flat & lumpy for my preference and the main room really needs a mirror. One mirror above the sink is not enough for a female! It was a bit of a challenge to find the hotel at night as it's very easy to take the wrong turn and miss the bridge over the stream. Google maps helped me out a couple of times ;-) The closest bridge to the hotel is Charles Bridge (2 mins walk) - which for most people is probably a bonus, but personally the crowds drove me crazy! The next bridge up is much nicer and you get a great view of Charles Bridge from it.
Staying at Kampa Garden was a real pleasure from beginning to end. The breakfast was great and catered for my partner's gluten intolerance providing gluten free bread etc. The rooms were a good size and staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for making our stay in Prague a delight.
The pillows were not plump enough for me, but that's all.
The Kampa Garden is a lovely hotel in the heart of Prague. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathroom is a great size. breakfast was lovely and fresh. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It's very quiet and the location is spot on. The room price is fantastic value. The hotel staff are very friendly and polite. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here.
There was nothing that I didn't like. I loved everything about Kampa Garden.
Just about eeverything from super friendly staff to the cleanliness.
The only minor criticism is lack of a bar on the property. Having said that there are at least 5 within 200 yards.
So, I wasn't originally slated to stay at Kampa Garden, but as luck would have it, this was one of life's pleasant little turns! Being for the most part a solo traveler, there are a few things I look for when booking a hotel. Firstly, would be location. When I'm traveling, I often got to many different cities, often in many different countries. I do a bit of research, then I get on Google Earth and find as central a location to the places that I'm interested in going as possible. Now, I spent nearly a week in Prague, and I assure you Kampa Garden is as centrally located as you can get. Just minutes walk from restaurants, cafes, banks, shops, pubs, centuries old buildings, stunning views and nightlife. 2 minute walk to The Charles Bridge 15 minute walk to National Theater 20 second walk to Kampa Park 20 minute walk to Old Town Square 30 second walk to the banks of the Vltava River 10 minute walk to the tram that takes you to the top of Petrin Tower 15 minute walk to Prague Castle I would say the second most important thing to me, is the staff. When I arrive in a country, I usually know very little of the language and local culture...such as tipping. I tend to rely on hotel staff to get me up to speed. So it's important they speak English, and know the area. And I can tell you, Natali, Monika and Michaela were each as stunningly beautiful as they were friendly and accommodating. Yindra and Stan were just as helpful and friendly, but a bit too "male" to be included in that last sentence. They were all willing to help me with any questions I had. They told me where I should go to eat, where I should NOT go to eat, how to greet people in Czech, how to thank people in Czech, what I should go see, where I should go, if it was too far to walk, they told me which trams and/or buses I should take, and where I needed to catch them. They were more than willing to call taxis for me and make phone calls me.
Nothing! It was Fantastic!
Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Really good location as it is quiet and peaceful on Kampa island.
Front desk personnel Location Comfortable and quiet Good facilities Tram and restaurants in the area Excellent WiFi Cleanliness Good breakfast Excellent quality to price ratio
Location, reception staff. Beds.
Just was a little basic. Combination bath tap and shower valve didn't work in the room, and was not fixed during stay. No tea and coffee refills in the room. Breakfast was continental with token hot plate of sausage, egg and bacon.
very dificult to reach by car
Staff were very pleasant and helpful Nice variety for breakfast Only a short distance from Chrles Bridge and Infant of Prague Steps from Kampa park
Tricky finding the hotel if you're walking
Location was perfect and so close to Charles Bridge. Nice clean and large rooms Helpful and friendly staff.
The breakfast was decent, but hotdogs for breakfast wasn't to my taste.
At the end of a quiet tree lined street and adjacent garden it was on its own island of quietness but only minutes from the Charles Bridge. Stefan the concierge was of great assistance
As with all hotels we encountered in Germany lighting in the bed room was poor for reading and there was no adequate make up mirror. The staff asked for our suggestions and we mentioned these two. This was the only staff out of 8 hotels who asked for suggestions.
