location was the best. it was near everything... church, rathuas, castle. Staffs were good. The restaurant offered delicious desserts, probably also the food but didn't try.
Parking was too far 10-15 minutes by walk. The room was too cold for the winter. There was only one small heater in the big bed room. The hotel was historic hotel so the room was quite old but comfortable enough.
Great location, the rooms were comfortable and a lovely view from our window
Only 1 staff member on at night so hard to get help when needed
To start off with, the lady receptionist who hauled up our luggage to the 1st Floor. No bathtub in the bathroom was a boon. The reception helped us in contacting the taxi guy to drive us to Budapest. Not to forget the fried eggs with 'sunny side up'.
Nothing, just a suggestion. They can keep the lights on on the staircase.
Small, friendly, clean, comfortable with a view of the castle from our window.
Our room was large and very comfortable. Loved the hotel right in the center of old town on a pedestrian street. Restaurant is outstanding and very reasonable prices.
Staircases are very steep with no elevator.
Location. Walking distance to bars cafes and town sights.
Difficulty of finding the car and the process to get to get to the hotel to unload. Apartmnet 1 was down an alley way away from the main hotel. Bright light from next door on all night. No heating in the room for the two days despite my protests. Breakfast was medicore.
The staff was excellent and the hotel provided laundry service which was great as we were traveling for 3 wks in Europe. Staff hours were variable, but did not cause any problems. Staff was helpful in providing maps, directions and information. Hot breakfast (purchased with room rate) was very good. Hotel was easy to locate, and was centrally located. Would definitely stay here again.
Our 2nd fl room opened on the main street, and was subject to the street noise ending at 11 pm and starting at 4am.
poor wifi reception in room
The young guy at the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful. He helped us with luggage at arrive and departure, gave advice on where to eat, to shop, etc with great patience. We all very much appreciate his help.
We stayed two nights at Hotel Konvice, one night in room 14 and a second in room 10. Room 14 was huge and had a lovely view of the castle tower. Room 10 also was very spacious and had a nice view. It was up quite steep and narrow stairs. We took the advice of another reviewer and packed just a small, easily-carried bag with what we would need for the two days. Location was great, close to the central square but very quiet. Staff at the hotel were very nice. Restaurant was excellent.
Our only criticism is the lights in the bathroom were very dim.
Attractive old style building / room in keeping with town feel. Excellent location for easy walking to all sights in this fabulous town. Pleasant, simple buffet breakfast Great value
Rather noisy at night , at least for rooms on the front as Horni is only semi-pedestrian and pedestrian voices echo off the walls and street. If you are looking for lots of hotel and room facilities, you'd be disappointed. We weren't, so not an issue for us.
Close to market square
Noise from outside
Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely rooms, great location. Excellent restaurant
Nothing negative to say about this hotel
Location Staff friendliness and helpfulness Clean Good Restaurant Comfortable bed Medieval Architecture with modern clean facilities Quiet room Kitchen area complete with Kettle, gas rings, fridge and crockery great for preparing drinks and snack. Secure parking Overall a first rate hotel
Lack of WiFi access in room Need of comfortable seating in room Not ideal for guests who might have difficulty climbing stairs
Adjacent restaurant with curt, brusque service.
I enjoyed my journey. The room is quite spacy. The breakfast is good and basics : various hams, charcuterie, breads, marmelade, confiture, cofee, tea, orange or apple juice, i recommand the delicious cheese egg.
The wifi is not received correctly in différents parts of the room, cf. the huge half meter wall that could jam the signal between second part bedroom from living room : a repeater wifi though PLC = power-line digital subscriber line can be a solution to solve this problem :)
Staff, cleaness, calm surroundings
No refrigerator in the room No safe-box in the room
We liked that it was in the middle part of the historical castle district. The desk service was wonderful. Breakfast had an abundance of selections on the buffet.
Advertised as a balcony, which we thought would have a beautiful view, but it was of a yard with linens drying. Not bad, but just thought it would be different.
Quaint and great location
Well located and lovely morning breakfast. My room overlooked a side-street with outside patio restaurant. Closing the outer windows eliminated the sound...could be a problem on a hot summer night (room #2).
The location is wonderful, the house stylish, and the staffs are really friendly and helpful!
We stayed for two nights, but the hotel didn't have the room cleaned for the second night…
Very quiet room. Antique room design
No hot water during our stay, but the hotel offered us discount for compensation. Luckily it is summer, so it is fine.
Loved the location of the hotel....right around the corner from the walk up the hill to the Castle, and down from the square. Also we had two rooms in the residence around the corner. That was nice except that we were on the upper floors which are much hotter in July. The breakfast was also good.
As mentioned, it was hot and you had to keep the windows open to get a breeze. What you also got was the very noisy town of Cesky Krumlov and it's happy weekend revelers too! made it very hard to sleep. Also our room had not been cleaned very well, and we had to call to get them to do it. But they did come and take care of it once called.
The location is excellent. Walkable distance from the Student Agency Bus drop off point.
The reception was not 24/7. The street was noisy but that is the charm of the Cesky Krumlov.
