Everything. Staff were brilliant. welcomed and escorted tour around hotel. Excellent food and service. Just excellent.
As soon as we walked into our room we saw 2 bowls laid out for our pet dog. Then a knock at the door with complimentary drinks and snacks within minutes of arriving. It was 15 min out of town but for us with a dog it was perfect. Great vietamese restaurant down the road. The risotto at the hotel room service is fantastic. Really lovely staff and whirlpool was great.
Splendid, comfortable, elegant hotel, well worth its 5 stars, with lots of character and, above all, exceptional service by great staff, especially the manageress, wonderful Gabrielle.
The hotel was excellent, the room was very spacious (deluxe room). The breakfasts were very nice The staff was helpful on all occasions including when we asked them to help us with talking to the local Vodafone rep in Czech.
The only drawback is the fact that the hotel is a bit far from the center. It takes ~30 minutes to get to the city center (Prague 1) with about 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station
Very comfortable hotel with the very friendly staff, very good restaurant and good location.
The breakfast was good and so was the service, true also for the bar.
I did not appreciate to be giving at first a room in which I hit my head twice because the ceiling was so low. The art collection was main stream and boring.
Check in took forever considering I was the only one checking in.
Already at arrival we felt very welcome by the friendly personal and the nice interior of the lobby. We got upgraded to a bigger room with a lovely city view which made us very happy. The room was very nicely decorated with a big and comfortable bed, mini bar and lovely toiletteries. The breakfast had everything you could want and the fitness and spa fascilities were great. The hotel was located in a calm living area, a bit outside the central parts of Prague but it took only a few minutes to walk to the nearest tram or metro station. The hotel itself made the trip very successful and we will sure stay here if we travel to Prague again.
Nothing was bad.
The breakfast buffet was very extensive and good. You could order off the decided menu for hot dishes/expersso or help yourself from the buffet. They had a wide selection of sweet pastries, and the breakfast staff were very professional and friendly. The bed and bedding was very comfortable and I could sleep well. I also liked the bathroom floor heater. The front desk staff was quite friendly, but it would depend on who was working. But overall the front desk and bell desk staff were very good. The fitness center was a bit older but most of the machines worked fine. The room although quite small was very quiet.
The room was on the top floor of the hotel, which I think was renovated from being an attic, so the room was small and the way it was shaped with the ceiling angling down due to the beams of the roof structure, it makes the room look even smaller. I liked the large bathtub to take a bath, but to take a shower in the morning, there is only half a glass door, so it makes it a bit difficult to take a shower without getting water sprayed outside of the tub and on the floor. This may be European style but it did not seem very practical to me. There was a refrigerator in the room but it was full of items from the mini-bar and wired shut with a plastic cord, so you could not put anything from outside into the refrigerator. I think they should have a space for guests to put some things that they may have brought from outside into the refrigerator. And I did not see any ice machine, so basically the hotel wants you to use only their their mini-bar for drinks, which to me, is not good guest service.
- Gym - Breakfast and lobby bar
- Poor air-conditioning - Location (it is a good 30 minute walk to downtown attractions) with no good restaurants near by.
Late night drinks on deck. The breakfast!
Traveling alone I felt very taken care of during my stay. I haven't experienced a more helpful or nicer group and extremely happy with my stay! Thanks Le Palais for enhancing my Prague experience!
Breakfast, bathroom, cosmetics L'occitane in the bathroom my favorite. Interior.Wi fi.
The same furniture as eight years ago but in very good condition. We had booked city tour and the travel agency picked us in the hotel. At the end of tour a guide left us alone in the Staropramen brewery. We came back by underground????
The location for us was ideal as it is in the same locality that my son and his family live ,a quiet residential area called Vinhorady . There is a lovely park a few minutes walk from the hotel with beautiful vineyards and a lovely cafe with views over the valley .The staff were very courteous and always willing to help and my granddaughter had a great time in the jacuzzi. Breakfast was the best , everything you could possibly want and more .
The location for tourists is possibly a drawback as it is a way from the town centre and all the tourist attractions , there is a shuttle bus service into town however which for sure solves the problem for most people .
Really enjoyed my time at Le Palais the staff and service is excellent the food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious I will definitely stay there again and will recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Prague
super breakfast, very nice interior, very nice staff, good location
We enjoyed a marvelous stay, excellent Service, extremely friendly and professional Staff, very clean room, nice view from the terrace , just WAW !
Nothing at all !
Very comfortable distance from the center in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, excellent facilities and very nice rooms and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast too.
Lusy- the reception girl
Spa was great, Breakfast Great, when we figured out how close we were to town and the subway we eventually walked. We liked the neighborhood, Room was lovely, minibar privileges were really nice. Concierge was great. Staff was most accommodating even providing car to town. airport service was affordable too. All in all, a really classy true old world 5 star property with modern touches.
There were a couple of really bad waiters who inappropriately asked for cash tips to avoid sharing with the kitchen staff. This cannot be in such a wonderful place. The restaurant staff isn't as good as the hotel staff.
The manager was very accommodating. The breakfast was great.
Couldn't figure out how to open windows so it got too warm at night.
hotel location far from city center
The quality of service, the staff and the overal atmosphere in the hotel
Minor things that are not worth mentioning.
Beautiful luxurious hotel. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Initially I thought location was a bit far from city centre but this is actually a positive thing as the hotel is in a lovely residential area away from the busy crowds but yet easily reached by metro. If I return to Prague someday, which I think I will, then I will definitely stay here again.
Smoking in the bar in the hotel but as the Czech Republic doesn't have a ban on smoking in public places like other countries, I can't fault the hotel for that! :-)
It is just a hotel, you don't want to leave - a wonderful place to enjoy Prague and get spoiled. The staff is amazing, very personable and welcoming. The attention to detail is unusual, down to the slippers at the bedside after turndown service. We loved the atmosphere of the whole house. Our Christmas dinner in the restaurant Le Papillon was first rate, beautiful, flavorful, creative, just a work of art served by outstanding and attentive Miroslav and Rudolf. The breakfast has many options and a wonderful hilly city view. The sauna and steam room helped with the winter cold especially combined with a massage. We loved the policy of not charging for everything and that made us feel very welcome, more like special guests than paying clients (complimentary minibar, bottle of prosecco with glasses and assortment of pralines at arrival, espresso drinks at breakfast no extra charge, room upgrade). Some other details we loved: the heated floor in the bathroom, chocolates at turndown service, shoe polishing service, friendly and warm welcome every time we returned to the hotel, the beauty and quietness of the rooms, quality of bed linens and mattress, starting the day with great breakfast choices including local Czech bakery items and attentive service (we still remember Karel's friendly face).
My only small suggestion: I wish smoking would only be allowed in the separate library room so that the bar area and hallway would also be smoke free. Coming from the beautiful restaurant is slightly diminished by having to walk through the smokers' gauntlet.
