Good location, everything within walking distance and in any case close to the tram/metro. Breakfast was acceptable. The bedroom is spacious and bright. Good quality-price rate. * Room service left us one day without towels, so we had to fetch one from reception (the receptionist was not that kind and showed some distrust). * Towels were changed every 3 days. * Beds/pillows were not extremely comfortable. * Strong smell of smoke on the room. * The room service was poor: the bathroom was not cleaned daily, bed sheets were never changed (7 nights) and clearly they need to improve the skill of bed-making. * Very small bathroom and the shower door leaks lots of water leaving the bathroom as a swimming pool. * It is possible to listen to a chewing sound coming from the floor, probably by wood bugs. * Different staff everyday and some of them were rude, impolite and not as friendly. * No internet service (free or payed) which is surprising nowadays.

The receptionist was very kind. It was a very bad experience. Before arriving I wrote to the hotel asking how to get there, they answered me it was 150m from the metro station Museum. However, this is another hotel from the same company, Machova is 10 minutes walking from another station. The curtain was very thin so the room didn't get dark. It was very hot and they just had a 10cm fan which wansn't enough. We killed 7 wasps inside the room and inside the wardrobe there were 5 dead. We complained and they didn't do anything. I do not recommend this hotel.

The bathroom was tiny if you need go to toilet you must leave the bathroom door open!!!

The location was good and close to the tram station from which yoo could reach downtown easily.William who was the receptionist for a couple days was very helpful and kind. The room in which we stayed the first night was smelling very bad due to a problem that was coming from the toilet. Because of the smell, the second we had to move all our staff into another room. The parking lot was almost 1,5 km away from the hotel and was about 15 minutes of walking distance. The breakfast options were very limited and could be improved easily.

The room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. Breakfast was very, very good, though you do have to be sure to get there fairly early, because the breakfast room fills up fast. The price was terrific. The hotel is in a very quiet residential area, with good local restaurants within a couple of blocks that are excellent values for traditional food. Easy enough access to downtown attractions, once you figure out how to use the public transportation system. It's a few blocks walk to get to it, but once you're on, it is very quick to get to the Old City. It is a bit far-removed from the center of action, but that could be considered a benefit, also, because the neighborhood is so quiet. The desk clerks' English is OK, but a bit limited, so they're not very helpful with directions, but they did fine otherwise. Parking was a bit tricky, since the street parking near the hotel is all resident-only...you can find spots a few blocks away that are free, but you may have to circle around awhile. The other hotel that they have a parking deal with is a very long way away.

Nice price. Perfect location. 300 m from tran stop, 600 m from metro station e only 2 station from San Venceslaw Square. 24 h reception and really helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Temperature in the room ok. Like the parking but 10 m walk + 6€ day for an openair park is not ok. Noisy room (ours was directly on the street!!! Check wich room before pay!!). As another person said: the curtain was very thin so the room didn't get dark. Wi-Fi only near the reception (not in the room). The hotel has good possibilities but they have to improve the quality.

The room was very comfortable, with one double bed and 1 single bed (we payed only the double one!). The bathroom had also the hairdryer and the staff was very very kind and english speaking. In the hall you can have internet connection for free (also in some rooms). Breakfast was very very good (fruits, milk, nutella, bread, muesli, tea, coffee, cheese, ham, bacon, sausages, jam, juice etc.).The location is good for visiting the city, you can take tram 22 that goes all around the town!) Perfect! Just one little thing: the double bed was with two separate mattresses and bed sheets a little bit short, the rest was really perfect for this price!

Helpful staff, very good value for money when booked in advance. Is not central but with so many good public transports even arriving from the airport at 1am can be done with no problems. There is an amazing italian restaurante just one block away and a small supermarket for all your needs. The fridge in the room also was very handy. Room was amazingly large but decoration 70-80s. Breakfast buffet is enough, with some variety but had much better, as again good value for money. The room curtains are almost transparent so do not think you going to have a late lye in if you cant sleep on those conditions. There are no blinds unfortunately.

The woman in reception was very unfriendly!!!!! But one day later the man in reception and the lady who prepares breakfast were friendly.. This woman speak badly english, i asked her some questions, got the answer without patient..other guests were laughing, later they told me, that she was talking half English half Czech. No wonder that i didnt understand. when I asked her to repeat, she blamed me that i ask too much!!! I asked her how to go to S-station, she told me: walk!!.actually there is a bus in the near to go there, and it is 3 stations far away!! This hotel is not easy to find, if you dont know prague well. It is far from centre. as we dont know prague well, and i wrote them a emai to ask how to get there, havent got any answer. we walked as google map told us, it took almost 1 hour. But later we find the bus 22, its much faster to go to the city centre. but there is no bus 22 station in the main train station I dont think this hotel is suitable for international tourists, but for guests from other cities from prague, i dont know...

Location , Peaceful area, close to metro, staff was helpful and friendly. No soap provided. Bed covers and cleaning not done for 4 days in five night stay. The room originally booked for 3 persons were not provided and were given other small room for same price that made us uncomfortable. It was 3star hotel rather than 4 star as mentioned in Booking.com.

The location is Machova's best asset. The service: Our reservation was for an apartment described as: This is a most comfortable 2-level room. The lower level is furnished like a standard room and the bedroom on the higher level features a roof window. It was one large room with roof windows. The Wi-Fi is not looked after and only available in the reception area. Service could be improved.

“I would have been crazy not to stay here.I was told Prague is a 'must see' and they were so right. I chose this hotel blind with no prior knowledge of Prague. Amigo is very good value, it's spotless, well appointed (the bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom in my Paris Hotel) breakfast is excellent and the staff are wonderful - friendly and so helpful. I enjoyed the 10 minute walk to and from Wenceslas Square. It was recently refurbished and the sensible thing by management was to ensure staff were trained to an optimum level. Amigo and staff capped off a fabulous stay.” Evangelos, Helensvale |
