The price, location, comfort, and staff were all excellent. It would be very difficult to find a comparable hotel for the price.
Location, location, location. Excellent bed and pillows, size of the room, bathroom. Very quiet, despite being dead center. Environment with many music bars and restaurants
Airco not strong enough to keep the room cooled during the 30 degrees plus heat mid July Late check out was 13.00 hrs. I could have used another 1 or 2 hours...
Location is good and easy access to Old Town Square
1. Air conditiong in first floor room does not work , vents are not wroking , reported this to owner Alex -who didnt do anything about it , this place is apartments , not hotel , reception at other place few minutes away is for other hotel so dont be mis guided as this place actually has no reception for itself so you will not get any help if you need, when we reported re a/c to them we were told there is nothing they can do as they are reception staff for other hotel , Stephen at reception contacted owner Alex who apparently told him that he will come down to repair , but he never turned up . It was very hot at Prague appx 30C and no air cond as promised in the facilities 2. Do not believe the owner re arranging transport to this place . We didnt know and felt cheated as they booked taxi to us from train stn to hotel at double the price which we realised later . Alex stated there is fixed price of Cz 750 but when we booked ourselves through prague airport transfers it costed us Cz 550 , and was told that 200 is their commission , this dishonesty from owner and reception felt very deceptive . As a tourist you would believe them and its shocking that you get cheated as you dont expect they are charging high to get more commision from taxi drivers. 3. There was kettle in room but no tea bages and milk was stale when we arrived , on contacting reception again was told they are not for this hotel and put us through the owner Alex - who stated that we have to await for house keeping lady to come next day .He cannot do anything as he doesnt live there. After a tiring jounery we had to go out again to have cup of tea , mere tea bags also could not be provided , anything you request to reception you get told that it has to go to the apartment owner Alex who does not attend .We were in fact told by reception Stephen to put a compliant against the owner as this keeps happening . I would not recommend this hotel due to inconvenience and dishonesty of the owner
Big beds and very comfortable.
The location was perfect. The staff were extremely helpful. They booked concerts and taxis for us. The taxi to the train station was half the price as the taxi we got on our own at the train station upon arrival. Great little Italian restaurant in the hotel courtyard.
the staff at the front desk ( who actually work for a different hotel) were extremely helpful, polite and friendly!
The carpet in the hallways are my only complaint. They are a bit worn out and had me a bit worried when we arrived until I saw my room which was VERY clean and comfortable.
Perfect location in a quiet old anc charming court yard but only one minutes walk from the central square of Prague.
This hotel had a great location at a cozy small square only a minute form the astronomical clock and the main square. The rooms were big and I've never seen a bigger bed in my life. Fancy coffee machine in the room and in the hallways.
The breakfast wasn't a blast, but typical "czech" as in any other restaurant.
huge room with iMac; big bathroom with separate bath and shower; perfect location next to old town square but still quiet.
Central location, comfortable bathroom, charming old building, coffee and computer+printer at hand.
Poor indication of the hotel (the reception belongs to another hotel on the same square); breakfast is provided in the restaurant around the corner to which one has to leave the hotel building (might be a nuisance for some, in case of rain :))
I loved the big bed! The hotel restaurant was delicious. The atmosphere was very old world and it was amazing.
The staff were stuck up and politely rude
Spacious, comfortable rooms with nespresso machine on landing. Central location nice view and relatively quiet.
Breakfast could be much better. (Instant coffee and orange 'juice' probably reconstituted from powder). I paid extra for a glass of real juice and the waitress simply assumed that i was leaving a tip. Furnishings are in good condition if somewhat dated.
The charm, the huge bed, the location..everything. The breakfast in the downstairs old cellar location was great.
Outside noisy during night although hotel is removed a bit from square
Excellent location, very fast / free wifi, clean spacious room.
Room was too hot as air conditioning was not working (outside of the summer period) -could not open the window due to noisy pub crowd outside.
The room and the bathroom were wonderful.
Breakfast bit ordinary.
Excellent all round. Breakfast great aswell. Do not book anywhere else. This is the place to stay when in Prague.
Very up market accommodation, great location, staff excellent
Nice location, good breakfast than expected, clean bathroom
Drain noise from adjacent room or building
We had a great stay at Merchant's Yard. The staff was extremely accommodating. We arrived a little early for check-in and they stored our luggage and vehicle, suggested sites to see, booked us a tour and a beer bath. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The location was excellent, just minutes from Old Time Square. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
An elevator would have been nice, but definitely not a deal breaker.
Fantastic location, great room, super to have access to the Nespresso on the floor of our room, nice bathroom and toiletries, and a great breakfast.
Nothing! We loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
Wonderful, central location, comfortable and roomy, very clean and well maintained.
Cost of parking is high...but pretty typical for the location.
The location was perfect! Our room was really big and beautiful - the bathroom was huge. The whole hotel area was quite unique and we had a feeling of real luxury. I also liked the privacy we had as the room was in separate building with own outdoor.
Just some minor issues - nothing serious: the cleaning lady forgot to refill caffee capsules (but yes - there was an own coffee machine in the room) and the daily make up of the room could have been a bit better (e.g. bathrobe left in the living room area).
location great, bathroom excellent, bed awesome!!! great hotel
the staff was ok but not the best
Employees were nice, kind and warm. They explained everything I asked so kindly.
It was hard to find the hotel. Breakfase was ok. But I dont recommend to eat lunch or dinner in that restaurant. Food was not good at all and they asked service charge even though it was soo bad.
