A walk distance from shopping area
Seems that there were no fix taxi fare. Taxi from rail station to hotel were cheaper but actually it should be more expensive because of the longer distance if compare from hotel to rail station .
Very spacious rooms, single beds, no bunk beds. Great little kitchen and good bathroom in the apartment. Very friendly staff, helped me stay in the same room when I extended my stay. Walking distance from the main tourist attractions and 3min walk from I.P.Pavlova metro stop which takes you anywhere! Very happy with my choice :)
As everyone stayed in their own little apartment, there was no communal kitchen or lounge area so difficult to meet other guests other than the ones in your apartment. (I was in a 5bed so was slightly restricted but I'm sure the 18bed rooms are much more social!)
Has a kitchen - stove, microwave, fridge, kettle for guest use Staff were extremely lovely and welcoming Bathrooms are clean spacious and nice
I chose to stay in the mega dorm of 20 as it was cheap, people were very respectful of others during the night however I think I'll stick to dorms under 12 people
Good location. Friendly staffs. Reasonable price. Best hostel i have ever stayed in.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location, quite cheap. There's a separate rosette above every bed
A bad smell in the corridor; It wasn't easy to fall asleep because there was a noisy atmosphere around the hostal
place the reception
I booked only one night because it was my last day in Prague and I booked dorm rooms with 5 people. The receptionist welcomed me and gave me the instructions. After i went up, i saw an asian guy and he said the room is full. I went back to reception and the guy gave me another room with 7 people in it. It was cheaper but he told me the difference might not be refunded to me which i was okay with it. After spending 20 min in new room, the receptionist guy came to my room and told me that they would like to transfer me to a special room (which was way more expensive) without charging any money. Of course i accepted and had a lovely night at miss sophie.
Everything was good!!
Great location. Friendly staff. Lovely double room - great bathroom.
I felt it was a little expensive for Prague.
Despite the unappealing appearance of the distressed concrete foyer, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Miss Sophie's was welcoming and the breakfast excellent with a wide choice of food. The rooms were comfortable with TV, brewing facilities and spacious, bathroom and shower. The decor is very basic, but rooms clean and practical. I would certainly return here again.
Very minor points. It would have been good to have the tea/coffee in the room replenished each day. The seating in the room was not very comfortable if, like myself, you have a delicate back. These were not points that spoilt our trip in any way, but you did ask.
Everything really. Staff fantastic and extremely helpful and friendly
The light in the shared bathroom very early in the morning wasn't working the last day of my stay.
I was sleeping in the 18 peoples dorm, but it was more than alright as the room was seperated in itself and there were enough toilets and showers. And yoou definetely have the best value for money here for a hostel in Prague!
Large appartments, central located, nice staff, well designed. Very good value.
Nothing to complain.
This is more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. Although it doesn't have a common area I met some lovely people most mornings at the breakfast. The breakfast is amazing and so cheap! Your choice of continental breakfast plus the cooks will cook up a great selection of hot meals like pancakes and omlettes. I had a private room which was great, really comfy bed and nice bathroom. Proximity to the city is awesome the tram to the old town stops every couple of minutes just down the road from Miss Sophies. All in all I would def stay here again
This is a fabulous hostel! The staff was very helpful, easy walking distance to everything you want to do, and the metro is right out the door. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful - spend the money, and get it!
It is a little bit expensive but I can accept as it is really good
The breakfasts are amazing - fantastic value! Every request was fulfilled. Very patient and professional cooks. Great location as well as helpful, knowledgable and friendly staff. Very close to 2 metro stations and even closer to No 2 tram which takes you to most of the sites in the city.
Our room had very little cleaning performed. Really hated the colour of the bathroom, so dark and dinghy. Also the bed pillows (lumpy and flat) need to be replaced too.
located absolutely central; very clean rooms; nice service pittoresque atmosphere
The room is big!
There is a glass wall between the kitchen and the bathroom. Literally we could see inside of the bathroom clearly. It was so uncomfortable to use 3persons.
The team are super... Thd design if the hostel is inspiring and beautiful... Simply perfect
Modern, clean, stylish and not like a hostel at all. Definitely coming back!
Amazing Rooms and central location
I found the staff very helpful in terms of answering questions I had about the city. The location was a little tricky to find as the hostel is slightly hidden but I thought the area was great as it was near to many Prague attractions yet also just far enough to give you some space from all the noise of the downtown core. What I really appreciated from the staff was the ability to use the lockers even after I had checked out and was running around the city making travel arrangements. The last thing I wanted was to deal with the many tasks I had while carrying a huge bag that I had as I was traveling around Europe. Best asset was cleanliness, I found the hostel to be in great shape. The washrooms seemed very up to date and there were enough to accomodate the large crowd that arrived during my days there. If there was a social element to Miss Sophie`s, I did not really seek it out. While I was fortunate to meet many great people, I was not taking advantage of common areas such as the kitchen or eating breakfast together in the morning with other guests. However, the kitchen at least in my hostel was seperate from the rooms I believe.
As indicated, I did meet some great people at the hostel but some more common areas would be nice if that is something you even want in the first place.
