Mövenpick Hotel Prague  

Everything was perfect. Just in case if you want to travel by metro, the metro station "Andel" is a little bit difficult to find, but there is a free shuttle service from the hotel to the metro station. However i recommend to use a Taxi (call the AAA company on 014014), the ride to central Prague will cost you about 200 to 250 Čk or 8 to 10€. As I mentioned in the PLUS commentary: The location is in the outskirst but you are fully compensated with a peacefull sorounding and a astonishing view on Prague (insist to be located in the second building on the top of a hill)

Location was very good. While Prague - Smichov may not be for everyone, hotel was very close to a subway station, very close to a major shopping center and in that area one can avoid tourists that mob Prague and still be close to major attractions. Breakfast was very nice, staff helpful and the view from the upper level of the hotel, wonderful.

Parking was very expensive at the hotel. I would strongly recommend that if one comes with a vehicle to look for alternative parking areas near-by. I saw several options but I was just too lazy to move my car. Too bad, it would have saved me a lot of money.

The staff was very helpfull. Excelent panorama in the executive building.

A modern hotel with good facilities. Breakfast was good with a nice terrace for eating on. The views over the city were great. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and clean. The cablecar was an interesting novelty (but see below).

The cable car was not very practical. A great number of rooms need to use this to reach the executive block. At the best it involves a reasonable wait and at worst this can take ages such as when two coachloads arrive at once. We were promised a free drink on arrival when we booked and this didnt materialise. Some of the staff were a bit abrupt and made you feel you were putting them out. On the last night the housekeeper came in to our room despite me saying no and insisted on shaking my hand, telling me the weather forecast and waited for a tip which wasnt forthcoming as I was in my underpants! Public transport was about 5 - 10 minutes walk away which involved walking through a fairly isolated bus park.

Fabulous location overlooking the city. Easy access to public transport. Very good restaurant with a menu to suit all tastes. Excellent bar perched on top of the hill with a panoramic view of Prague. Quick and efficient service. All the staff were excellent and spoke English and/or German. Unbeatable price. Fantastic value for your money.

Nice breakfast. Beds are very comfortable.

Garage is expensive.

The hotel is located near the centre, large shop and subway nearby. In 10 minutes you are in centre Prague. We used the family package with two rooms next to each other. Breakfast was awesome, freshly made omelettes, all kinds of bread, a lot of cakes an sweets for children.

No free wifi in hotel.

Beautiful location, easy to reach the city Center, we stayed in the New building which is connected to the main one by cable cart...the breakfast was amazing. The kids had fun too with the trampoline.

Privacy & personal security were the only problem we had as the room cannot be locked from inside, and if you do, anyone who was the room key can open it from outside... after complaining to the reception, they said, keep the "Don’t disturb sign outside" ... doesn’t really help.

It is very good hotel for the price. Hotel stuff is very helpful. Room was excellent, food also, view from 8-th floor beautiful.

I don't like charge for the internet, it should be free for hotel guests. Also garage for hotel guests should be at least 50% of price for 24h. Everything else is good and I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

The room was spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. Located away from the center and the hustle and bustle. A major shopping mall with cinema just minutes away from the hotel. Elevator service was fast and the breakfast buffet was excellent, many choices and very satisfying. Transportation very good as there is a metro/subway stop just minutes from the hotel doorstep.I Have stayed at quite a few hotels in Prague and this one was the best one for me.

I can only say that the drinks were significantly overpriced both at the bar and in the room.

Efficient and friendly staff. Room excellent, clean, spacious, large bathrooms, fantastic veiws. 10 minute walk to shops and restaurant and public transport. Delicious breakfast with large choice available.

Parking cost was extortionate. Some warning about the cable car woud have been good - a little scary but we got used to it.

Prima hotel, schitterend gelegen. Bij aankomst kregen we een upgrade naar executive rooms. Prachtige lokatie, prima kamers Perfect hotel with excellent friendly staff. The breakfast was nearly perfect (only one small negative point) Nice wellness.

If I can mention one negative point : no possibility to get a fresh juice fruit at breakfast (even paying) : for the rest : superb. If you have an old car like mine, you can easily and safely park for a few days in the neighbourhood without paying.
